- So you've been wondering what the experience of training in Cuba for medicine is like? Me too.
Dr Nkobeng is a medical intern in SA. She completed 6 years in Cuba in the Nelson Mandela Fidel Castro Programme, integrated at Wits University and is now working as a doctor.
This is her story....
This is a great video. Very informative to people interested to know about the NMFC program. Honestly an hour isn’t enough to breakdown the pro and cons, mare Kamo really managed to give knowledge in a that short duration.. Big ups girl.. Great interview Lethu, really means a lot to hear someone interested to break the stigma of the NMFC program. 💯
Thank you so much doc! I think she Kamo did an amazing job too. 🙏🏿🙌🏿
Thank you both so much for this! As a matric student who's been trying to find more info on this, I really appreciate it and found it quite informative ❤

We still had somuch to explore tle, but we tried to wrap it up,
Really insightful,is it possible to host a Dr who studied in Russia and is now practicing in SA?
Hi Lerato, its definitely possible are you studying there or know someone who's been through the process?
I am currently studying in Russia and I don’t know anyone who’s been through the process
My favorite part is when u asked "Do they pay you?" 😂😂😂😂😂
I agree that alcohol is a South African problem. It is an addiction!!!

Hey , i where do we find Dr Nkobeng on the socials ?

not my ex roommate with my fav
Hahaha just for you 🧡
What if I already speak Spanish fluently?Do I still need to do spanish matric?
I am currently a first year medical student at Nelson Mandela School of Medicine and I really realllllly want to go study at Cuba but I have no idea how and where to apply
Can go to your nearest department of health for more info
Hey doc,can we still shadow during covid??
Do I have to learn Spanish to learn medicine in cuba?
which school in cuba did she study at?
Will they consider a person that have level2 life science.
Am a Namibian Medical student, graduating soon. I kinda envy people that go outside of Africa to go study medicine, the requirements for entrance is so low and the programs are not as tedious. In Namibia we have same the curriculum as South African one very tedoius😢 the sad part is everyone now wants to be a doctor because its easy to get abroad and the money is good.
How can an American study in Cuba?
Can you study medicine in Cuba in English
No you have to learn Spanish.
