Plus, Palestine isn't part of the Arabian peninsula & neither is Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, or Tunisia. They used to be mostly populated by non Arab people until Arab empires invaded & unalived many of the people that lived there. Sounds a lot like what Spain did to indigenous Mexicans. Thank you for this beautiful video, especially for sharing the words straight from the students. I am impressed by how resilient their hope for justice and trust in their fellow humans is. Too often I think of Palestinians in the context of the suffering, violence, and indignity they endure under the occupation. While obviously their oppression is involved in almost every aspect of their lives, it’s important to be reminded that this doesn’t mean they are always and only acting out of bitterness or anger.
Hope, humor, faith in the goodness of each other, the transcendent power of human cooperation; the occupation wants to beat these qualities from them, to disarm them. They think that with enough inhuman treatment, they can strip their humanity from them. But they never will. Thanks to Cuba for their solidarity, both the critically important material support and assistance they provide in the form of resources and work, but also of course for the example they set to all world - proof that through solidarity and revolution, a small country can successfully struggle against the biggest, richest, most brutal country and the all the forces allied with it. Goliath can be defeated. ❤️ 🇨🇺🇵🇸
