I hope the Berg is kinder to you. Arg man O don't think you can ever prepare yourself for the gruesome stuff you know. It just comes, and you never know what it is. All the best love, you'll be great!
Hi Dr Letsoalo, first and foremost I'm not a Doctor. I was born and bred in Bergville currently working in Cape Town as a Constable for City of Cape Town Metropolitan Police Department. I want to take this opportunity and congratulate for becoming a Doctor. Thank you for putting Bergville on the Map. I'm really proud of you and your family. Uyibekile induku ebandla qhubeka njalo ngomsebenzi omuhle owenzayo. Stay Blessed and humble.
I’m a med student, Covid really ruined a lot of things for us. We are nearly there but I don’t think I’m confident enough. To be honest I’m shaking in my pants right now. 😩🥺
Covid has had us all adjusting to different situations hey. But you're certainly almost there. From someone who just crossed the line, you will be fine, keep pushing and playing your part. There's light on the other side. Finish strong!
Best RUclips Doctor in the space for me no cap. But please, next time you can not describe the maggots so well and in so much detail, I started feeling things in my own afro. I was getting goosebumps 😂. Also big tip on bringing yourself to a position of humility where you can ask questions in situations where you do not know. Love it. Excited for more! Good to have you back !
I just qualified last week I am excited and scared at the same time, I don’t even know how to get prepared but you just calmed me down, thank you Doc❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congrats Doc, keep up the good work. I hope to share experiences as well from Zimbabwe in the near future. I especially liked the black excellence part of your talk.
I didn't realise the value of representation until I met a reg from my home town at Tygerberg 🥺😅😄 ugh the feeling was unmatched 🤩 it changed my experience of the rotation 💫 #BlackExcellence
Definitely so easy to underestimate one's ability and knowledge, so as I go through this year, I'll keep coming back to this last lesson when in doubt. Thank you for this Lethu🌷 absolutely enjoyed it. So good to have you back on RUclips 💃🏾
Nice content, how realistic are 24 hour calls?I'm worried coz I can't even stand on my feet for 4 hours.🙆🏻♂️do u literally have to be awake for 24 hours straight or you are allowed to take 4 hour naps?
24 hour calls are quite ridiculous hey. It depends on which rotation you are on. Some you barely get any sleep because it's way too busy. Other you might get 3 hours of sleep if you're lucky. Most call are more than 24hours though. they can go up to 30 hours. So it's quote taxing
Hi Antony. As far as I know, you need to contact the Health Professionals Council of South Africa. They are our governing board. They should guide you on what to do.
What's your one take-away from this video?
You moved to Jozi “shocked for days “
Haha yes I did Nosipho! It's been a long time coming. I'm enjoying life this side
That I may see gruesome things, haha. I'm a third year at the Berg, lol, but never thought about it
