I love being a BMS. I’m glad I chose it over medicine because you are involved in improving healthcare as well as supporting diagnoses. A lot of what we do not only affects the patient, but also the way the service is delivered.
Sir i'm so happy to learn it i'm about to start my degree but couldn't find any resources that confirms BMS can lead to greater career opportunities . Thank you so much again for sharing your experience ❤
Great video, but I would also like to add that as a biomedical science graduate myself, dont feel that you are limited to just becoming a registered biomedical scientist in a hospital. I did a placement year after my second year (at a contract research organisation) and that enabled me to return to the same company as a scientist after graduation. I currently now work as a research technician at a university research lab. Working in research is another possible career path. therefore, doing an IBMS accredited course isnt needed if you are considering a research career.
Good video! But the IBMS registration is not necessary if you go into research or biopharma industry, I suppose. At least this is NOT mandatory in Belgium. I have M.Sc in Biomedical science. Worked in Biotechnology industry for 5 years and am now pursuing a PhD. I'm pretty sure this is possible in the UK too, because why else would there be accredited and non-accredited degrees, right?!
Is it possible to do this as a second career? I always wanted to be a scientist/work in the sciences. This would be a second career especially since my undergrad degree was unrelated. I’m in the US.
Do you need a science degree pre biomed training? I don’t see a path yet to go directly to it. Perhaps a complete training from nothing to being a researcher and perhaps even career paths from then on video could be useful, thanks.
Hi aryan Could you please make a video to explain what shall I do for find job after graduated. Specially for how came from abroad and what certificate we need for go to NHS. Thank you very much indeed

Hello brother thank you very much for the information. I am going to come to study Biomedical Sciences this year. I want to know that if I completed my registration portfolio in the sandwich year then could I use my third year course for assessment of a specialist diploma in Biomedical Sciences or I have to atleast do 1 year of job in order to get specialist diploma certificate?

00:45 - #1 It's going to be difficult
