Why are we sending our students to Cuba to become doctors when South Africa used to have the best doctors and training facilities in the world. People say i am talking nonsense when I make these claims but I knew many students living in communes about 20 years ago from Germany , England and America coming here to study medicine.

What am I saying that's untrue? you do know South Africa performed the first successful heart transplant. You can't achieve this without high standards in medicine.

Cuba has many doctors but I wouldn't trust their level of competence. They must undergo some tests here in SA to see if they are competent.

You really need to do some research before even talking man. Btw those students wouldn't be able to afford schools there. Is free in Cuba

@spywhale - My mom was a nurse for Christiaan Barnhard and was a actually in the hospital during the heart transplant. The good old days - why is no one giving an answer why these students had to go all the way to Cuba? And studying for international students are not free in any country unless the students are sponsered by a company from there and intent to emigrate. How can they study the textbooks/medicine when its in Spanish??? Most South-Africans would not be able to tell the difference between Portuegese and Spanish nevermind studying it. I went to Miami for work and met MANY Cubans and almost 90 % of them do not speak ANY English and thats living in the US - for sure the ones in Cuba does not - super dodgy - No thanks I never want one of these students as my doctor.

Have they completed their qualification here yet? They are not doctors here yet, not even ready to be interns either. Half truths as usual from our leaders.

Dear sir, I wish that you would educate yourself about this program before you judge or question it.
Just a quick note: the doctors who went to the epicentre of the COVID Virus were from where?????
