man great video I wish a video like this came out earlier i just grew balls and have been trying to do rev caves and been pked over and over its nice to have this much knowledge in a simple format keep up the good work
I only use the wilderness when absolutely necessary like for the mage arena capes. I find it incredibly annoying to get crashed by pkers in every activity, especially at the bosses. I don’t really understand why they allow PvP inside the boss lairs in the first place, it would make far more sense to me if the risk was taken when getting to the bosses but once you make it in to the lair you’re fighting the boss and that’s it. I’ve never been interested in PvP at all and the times I was interested I went to castle wars or soul wars or another PvP minigame that doesn’t have risk involved. I’m not interested in risking my equipment or items and I don’t want to take anyone else’s items. If there was the ability to opt-out of risk PvP in the wilderness then I would opt-out. It provides no value to me whatsoever and to be honest it is just an inconvenience and something which is frustrating to deal with, there are only downsides.
I get what you are saying, but . . . I finally got over the fear and tried it. I went to the wilderness 6 times total after i was doing pretty good on the game(base 68 combat). I went completely naked with no items just to check out the rev cave. I wanted to see the hype. My record was 10 seconds in the cave without dying to a pker. Twice i did not even make it to the cave. Yes, i looked it up and went to the low side of the cave as well. Yes, i tried different worlds. If i can't get more than 10 seconds in the cave, I'll never make any money, let alone losing stuff evey time I'd go negative. What do? Besides "GET GUD" i thought of that and not an option, too nooby #nooblife
I just dove into the wilderness for the first time recently and looked into revs as well. You must have some really bad luck because I haven't been pked nearly as often. I've only killed maybe 300-400 lower level revs, but I was only killed 3 or so times. Thankfully I got lucky in my first few runs and made like 6 mil. I think the main thing is making sure you're on a lower playercount world. I know you said you tried different worlds, but I'm not sure if you specifically focused on the lowest playercount worlds. Less players obviously means less people to attack you. Though you still will have to keep an eye out for pkers hoping worlds and appearing right on top of you. Don't stay in there too long before banking, and you'll probably be fine. I say all this as someone who was terrified of the wilderness beforehand, and now I'm only moderately spooked. Just make sure you aren't risking too much and keep your cursor above the logout button. Not sure if you've dove in since you left this comment, but I figured I'd offer my perspective anyway.
@@PretzelYT I did try to look for lower player count worlds. I haven't seen the point in going back if it's going to happen to like that. I'll just miss out until I get the skill level I need.
10:05 I shouldn’t even be saying this but bois don’t forget “wilderness player alarm.” The pker can’t get you if you tele the same tick he renders on your clients mini map….doing a multi boss? Leave your scout outside with player alarm on and just dip when your other screen start flashing like crazy. I already know most of you are probably sleeping on this one.
That is 100% a good call, I did leave it out of the video as it required an alt and for some that barrier might be too much. If you do have an alt 100% use it here though
@@ElysianOSRS it’s good for slayer cave, revs, wildly skilling. Anything where reacting fast is important. Hell even at alter you can use it to insta log. Don’t necessarily need an alt to get value from it. I basically use it anytime I don’t plan on fighting back.
Hey man, not sure if you’ll see this or not, but I just found your channel and I’m so hooked on your story telling and game knowledge. I just bought my first bond in years and now I kinda know what I’m going to do with it, keep up the awesome work. You’ll be at 100k in no time!
I think you missed a few points. The wilderness weapons like viggora's chainmace and craw's bow are the strongest weapons in the game when charged with ether in the wildy. This means you can get insane xp rates in the wildy if you choose to train there. Also I feel it's negligent to not mention more tactics on how to logout. As you said, it's just stupid to try and win a fight with a geared pker. Their stats and loadout are just superior for the task at hand. The best way to get away from a pker is to bring entangle sacks (only 1 inv spot sacrificed). Entangle them and walk onto the same square. They can no longer hit you for the duration of the entangle. Simply logout while they're stuck. Let me know if this has been patched.
This still works, but if they bring Mithril Seeds they can plant a flower that force moves them 1 tile through entangle and then can keep up the fight. Still a good strategy to try though as not everyone brings seeds.
You are not going to land an entangle in d’hides or melee gear. If you’re doing Callisto freeze method or Scorpia, sure bring blighted ice sacks and freeze them, but if you’re doing Revs and you don’t have a switch into AT LEAST mystics top and bottom you can just forget it entirely, you’re so much better off trying to deal damage back to them while you run away and force them to eat. If you’re in melee gear and you seriously have no good way to fight back and you can’t bring a mage switch, use melee special attacks. ZGS has a freeze that is as good as ice barrage, if you can land a spec you can step under and log out, that’s the best option. Alternatives are the chain mace spec which drains run energy and disabled running, timing this well can give you a gap on your opponent. If both of those are out of your price range a tentacle whip can entangle your opponent for a few seconds, and a dragon spear can stun and push them away for a few seconds, both of these are pretty good options for getting a head start on a gap. Also, PKers are terrified of dragon spears, they don’t end to get speared into multi, if you run near or into multi with a d-spear, or near a wildy obelisk, they’re pretty likely to try and out some distance between you and them to avoid being in melee range. If you’re really good and you have diaries done you can also just spear them into the obelisk and send them to level 50 wilderness even if there’s no team there waiting for them.
The thing that really tilts me about wilderness is that irons like me can't provide any threat at all. At least let me send their items to the falador party room when I kill them so they can't just pick it all back up for free
@@kizzmiazVoidwaker has been the holy grail for anti-pkers. Seriously, whipping this thing out and dumping 2 specs on someone is like ringing their bell it has an IRL stun effect when you reaction check them with a 50-65 combo. I get not liking the wildy, but once you can afford a voidwaker there’s no reason to avoid it’s content, you can be just as dangerous to them as they are to you.
Yeah right. Like they'll even bother attacking anyone that has the remotest chance of beating them. They all talk like they enjoy fighting each other but with very few exceptions that's a bald faced lie the majority of them just want easy kills against players that don't stand a chance and use the "good fight" bs to rationalize being dicks to themselves, no one else falls for it. IMO. I honestly don't understand why anyone enjoys that but then I don't understand why some blokes like being kicked in the nuts either. Each to their own I guess.
everytime i go into wild i get murdered even on ironmen , even on pures, even on my main. nope, ill just stay outta the wild, forever tyvm.. i get teleblock, ice barraged to death, everytime. every. time. i rather do some skilling method that takes 400x as long to make the same money. im tired of getting pked just to lose all my progress, gain nothing. 7m an hour is more like 0m an hr when u get pked every frickin time
I'm like 90% always in wildy it is amazing money maxed 75 att 1 def pure. So I can pk or pvm skill just depends how I feel but wildy is awesome always bring a spec wep even a dds you may get a lucky anti pk
I dont pk but I understand that we need pkers. Without them theres no real reason to make xp or gp good inside wildy. Just briing freezes and try scape, it will be a fun time for the pker and for you.

If you unlock loot keys you have the option to either delete their items or kill your iron on your main to get the key from your iron

Imo the worst place in wildy is slayer cave. All cave is multi and the pathing is awful
