Really enjoying your content. You’re always straight to the point and not a lot of dragged out videos. Also you I can always hear you loud and clear , which is rare these days on RUclips. So thank you.
pros of running spacers is you can fit 285s on stock wheels with lots of room left, no rub or trimming
Will 285 with spacer fit stock height
@@el.tacolgando definitely will rub on bumps but it’ll ride
@@angelgamez4111 thanks
Not true. Just because you add spacers doesn't mean you won't rub. Especially 285, your most likely going to rub the pinch weld or the chassis frame with a full turn..even the mud guard too. It does depend if you're running HT, AT or MT tires & lifted or not.
@@Stanley-LP2000 trust me I’ve ran 33x12.50 mud grapplers on 1.25” spacers and clear perfectly fine riding a round farm roads and hit bumps like nothing only ever slightly feel a rub on inclines in reverse which happens 30% of the time, a great alignment helps also
Beautiful truck bro. Im about about 10k miles into my 2022 Lunar Rock TRD Sport and your simply clean build is inspiring
I appreciate that man, good luck with your build
Enjoyed your video. planning to get a 2024 tacoma trd sport. 2 inch leveling kit infront. 18 x 9 with Negative 12 offset + 1 inch spacer. do you think this set up will cause any problem ?
So you shouldn’t have to worry about your ball joints going bad faster?
I just ordered these spacers for my Trd Sport thanks to you! Did you have any issues with them? I still have stock size tires on right now. A little nervous running them with other reviews/videos but hoping it’ll be fine
Put 1.25 Inch Spacers on my tacoma with 265/75/16 Falken wild peak tires it looks more aggressive than stock.
did you add lift ?
@amatz7605 I PUT ON A 2 INCH FRONT 1INCH REAR SPACER LIFT.
Was it rubbing before you lifted it with those spacers? I have the same exact tires on my off road and looking to add spacers by I don’t want it to rub and not looking to lift it anytime soon
I Installed the wheels Spacers after I lifted it but you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing with just Spacers.
Hey how are you? Thank you for this video! How are the spacers still holding up? I just got mine and I’m a little nervous
Just purchased mine. Can’t wait!!! Thanks for the video!
Since this spacer is so thin did you have to cut your stock studs to make them shorter?
No
@@willyota awesome thanks for the quick response!
Hey buddy, what’s sizes and brand is you tires? Thank you 👍
I have a stock 2021 Toyota Tacoma sr model bare bones , I want some 33inch tires on it or close to it like 285s ! So all I have to do is buy wheel spacers ? Then slap them on and I’m good to go ? How will it do when I go out ORV trails ?
You might have to buy a lift kit to fit 33s. I am not sure if you can fit 33s on stock height so check out the toyota forums online. Adding spacers will make your truck look more aggressive but keep in mind you might rub the chassis frame or pinch weld with 285. I think running 265 or 275 with a 1.25 or 1.50 spacer will do you good with little or no rub at all. Just remember the red 271 loctite and you'll be fine.
I've had a 2 inch set in my tundra for a year, love the stance and have had no problems
How many miles you have to check torque down wheels spacer?
I retorqued after 500 miles, then recheck everyime I rotate my tires
I just put in and a half from the same company. Mine are also hub centric. But I think my wheels rub on the control arms because if I turn and go up a bump or something it sounds horrible
It’s probably rubbing on the cab mount. With 1.5” spacer you shouldn’t be close to rubbing on the UCA
Am I able to get an alignment after install 1.5 wheel spacers or will I have to remove them for the alignment
Long answer: Yes
Short answer: Yes
What wheels you got on here?
I’ve got a great deal on some 285 Falken Wildpeak at3w’s
Like the look but, I want to keep the Lunar Rock paint on the sides. Have you given a thought about the junk that they pick-up and throw on the vehicles behind you? Not a good idea for a daily driver. You might want to put some flairs on to avoid the cops!
Not ever had an issue with chipping paint on the sides, nor does it kick debris back at vehicles. I live in a state where I’m free to modify my vehicle as I please, so cops are not a problem.
Nice video, thanks 🙏
I recently just slapped on 2” spacers from the 1.25” spacer I had cause rims be too expensive. And they’re holding up well. I used the orange loctite and previously had the blue loctite but I didn’t trust the blue for long so took them off, cleaned the studs and hub surface and put them back on with the orange. Still holding strong. I just torqued everything to 90ft lbs cause 85 wasn’t doing it for me especially with the bigger tires I have and larger spacer😂
in this video, is this with the 2" spacers?
@editsbybalbino 1.25”
@@willyota what’s your wheel offset?
0@@editsbybalbino
Can you put 285/75/16 on a 3inch lifted Tacoma with 1.50 wheel spacers and not rub ??
No you would for sure still rub
Good video bro !! Thanks , already suscribed!!
I got those same wheels on my 4 runner.
Can’t beat that price
@@willyota nope I got mine wrapped in falken wildpeak tires loves em.
Is 2’ pushing it?
Yea id be careful
Good info thankx !
wont re-torqueing the wheel spacer after awhile break the bond of the locktite?
The mechanic I had who installed my wheel spacers said it doesn’t make sense to re-torque especially with red loctite because it will break the bond. But if it’s an 1.25”-1.5” then just make sure it’s torqued down evenly and you’re good to go
so by re-torqueing after awhile, you mean just the lug nuts that hold the wheels and not the spacers correct?@@HawaiianTacoma
@@editsbybalbino just the lugs for the wheel need re-torquing. Not the spacer. Just make sure the spacers are torqued to specs well with that good red loctite and you’re set.
You re-torque 10 ft-lbs less when you recheck thereby not breaking the lo title seal.
Do wheel spacers affect the towing capabilities?
No
did you lift your truck ?
You look like a drill sergeant
Lol that’s a new one
I put on 275 70 R 17 on my 22 Tacoma. The tire when I make tight turns rubs against the control arm. I was told if I put a one inch space around. It will rub against the wheel. Well, what can I do? Thank you.
I put on 275 70 R 17 on my 22 Tacoma. And the wheel rubs against the control alarm. When I make tight turns, And I was told if I put a half in space on that the wheels would or could fall off. Any suggestions, would be great, thank you.
