This roller coaster built by CCI is considered to be a GCI prototype due to the layout and the curved drop like most GCI's have. GCI was founded in 1994.
Fun coaster! I was actually caught off guard by the drop! I wasn't expecting much and I was sitting in the back seat and I got WHIPPED out of my seat! It was so much fun! And it is pretty smooth, too! Even in the back seat!
Something nobody really tells you about these type of roller coasters is that the back is way more fun. Me and my friend tried going in the front first, and it wasn’t that bad, then we tried the very back, and it is way more intense. It brings you down quicker on the drops because the front is pulling you down quicker and I feel like it is a lot more fun in the back because you go so fast! I highly recommend going in the back is so much fun!
I went on it today, probably gonna go again. It’s not as bad as it looks. Someone on it had their brand new iPhone 11 PRO and they decided to bring it on but it was against the rules. It fell into the water.
the coaster held up great until July 2014, the top of the drop was so old that the wood started to decay so they had to repair it, but now it is better.
+Sam Williamson Yes, I can't remember the name of the guy, but I read on negative-g.com that this was designed by the same guy that split off from CCI to start GCI. You can see some other GCIs that have similar pre-lift bunny hops. Like Ozark Wildcat, Gwazi, Roar, and many more.
+Sam Williamson Mike Boodley that's the name! But anyway, I love this ride so much, the drops are pretty steep and the layout is so twisted, it really does feel out of control!
The same! I was 7 years old. Don't know about you, but to me this looks so much rougher on screen compared to how I remember it growing up, I remember I couldn't believe how smooth it was compared with the Tornado. Iowa climate can't be easy on wooden coasters, at least just judging on what it has done to my poor deck over the last 10 years.
I love adventureland and anyone thinking about going, I would reccomend you visit but just be prepared to not get much help when starting to ride!! I was getting on alone in a car and they said if you ride alone in a car to buckle the empty seat belt next to you.. I couldn't reach so I said to the lady off to the exit side of the platform "my seat belt isn't buckled" she comes and buckles and puts down the bar. Apparently she don't understand what I meant was MY SEATBELT was not fastened. And even after extensive shouting to the ride operator and stupid, distracted teenage girl that "assisted" me they still started the ride without me fully secured...
That’s odd. They usually ask the single riders to buckle the seat next to them, but the ride operator tend to be well mannered. Teenager you say? Must be her that is the problem
Kingdom coaster at Dutch wonderland was the first. New Mexico rattler was the last but was built partially in house. The last coaster made completely by cci was the lost coaster of superstition mountain.
Technically the lost coaster of superstition mountain isn't the last one made completly by CCI because it was a dark ride before it was converted by cci. The correct answer to that question is Cheetah at Wild Adventures
I’ve been on this ride the first time I kind of cried but then on like the last of 2020 on the outlaws like I put my hands up yeah it’s a kind of good classic woody👍
When I went, some idiot stood up on the final brakes because the op kept the train on there for a minute, and she yelled at the kid for standing. Good times, good times.
This was like my first coaster I remember I’ve been on, my parents forced me on to this ride like in 2018 or 2019 I did not like it. haven’t been on a coaster since
@@artisticgizmo8654 the only cci I've been on is cheetah at wild adventures. It didn't give me a good first impression of cci's. I want to get on a good cci now!
RMC is not the answer for most true wooden coasters. They take good serviceable coasters and then turn them into wooden monsters. A good wooden coaster does not take severe high banked turns and never goes upside down. A good retracting and any structural strenthing will make any old coaster ride better. This coaster seems ok as is to provide good thrills without being too extreme.
Pretty solid wooden coaster, has some good intensity!
BryceFourn 2001 it does. Little rough in backseat
Its fun i lost my glasses on it (dropping down)
@@deltatv3525 for sure i got front
Yeah
Delta TV oh
This is my favorite coaster at Adventureland, it's so fun!! Hurts the neck after awhile, but always fun
I love to ride it too! What’s your favorite part?

Wooden Coaster 1 looks too intense for me.
My absolute favorite ride in all of Adventureland!
the coaster held up great until July 2014, the top of the drop was so old that the wood started to decay so they had to repair it, but now it is better.
So this is the ride that started it all with GCI? If so, then we have a fair bit to thank this ride for as GCI have done some great stuff!

It’s a great CCI coaster. Short lines because it’s kinda hidden because it’s where you don’t expect it.
I remember riding this 2 years ago.
BUMPIEST RIDE OF MY LIFE.
BRO I LOVE RIDING IT ITS SO FUN
But it’s the good bumpy, unlike tornado where you hit ur head on the back of your seat

Yeah adventure land!
First gci is lightning racer latest gci is gold striker and one is scheduled to open later in 2015 and two in 2016.
Close, but no cigar. First GCI was Wildcat, at Hersheypark.
I'm sorry i mistake the first Gci for the firrst 2000s gci
I can feel the headache through this video
ive been on this coaster with NO ONE ELSE on it!
cool
It should be renamed Every Which Way But Loose. That coaster is all over the place.

Nah, This ride is a GCI Prototype.
Ive been on all thesse roller coasters! This one is like ghost rider at knotts berry!
this ride is super cool and fun to ride when i go back here im going to for sure ride it

Technically, but this was better. It was made by same guy,
Dang, this could be a sick RMC... if it got converted...
I have been on that ride
Where is all my Iowans at?
Would this count as a mini coaster??
This is smaller than the coaster on my coffee table

I sat in the back of this and it was forceful
