@@RockyandTuck Adventurelands entrance resembles Magic Kingdoms very closely, as a few designers of Disneyland/world desined a few aspects of Adventureland in the beginning.
I’m so glad I got to go this summer… The monster might actually be in my top 10. It’s like when you think it’s over something else happens and that something else happens… What a treat and what a surprise.
When I rode Hangtime back in 2018 I was completely blown away by it. Hearing that it’s one of the weaker Infinity Coasters makes me really want to ride the other ones now.
I was confused as to whether this was a Eurofighter or an Infinity Coaster, so thanks for the clarification. I guess it rides like an Infinity Coaster, since it’s not rough 😆 but off-ride it just looks like Saw - The Ride with lap bars. I’d love to see how you rank the Eurofighters and Infinity Coasters that you’ve ridden. I’ve ridden one of each, the Smiler and Saw - The Ride. This might be controversial, but I actually preferred Saw, for the overall experience, the indoor section is better, it’s really well themed and obviously it has a better drop than Smiler, but I’d love to hear your opinion. Great vid, as always
For me, Monster is miles ahead of HangTime. HangTime has almost no hang time, but Monster has several moments of hang time, which is one of my favorite things. You mentioned how unique and strange Monster is, which is another thing I appreciate. This is my # 1 coaster that focuses on inversions. Overall, it's top 20 out of over 400. It really helps that this has lap bars and no seat belts. I hate OTSR. I didn't find the lap bars coming down much tighter though, just a little.
Rode this last week for the first time for FREE!! Phenomenal coaster (top 15), but even better when Adventureland lets anyone with a SF or CF season pass in for free until end of Sept.! 😎 Kudos to you, Adventureland! 👏🏼
Glad to finally see a review of this thing! It blew me away when I was at Adventureland earlier this year. Instead of adding a Free Spin to replace Dragon; I would have loved to see something like a Hyper GT-X or even an RMC Tornado. Combined with Monster, one of those would make for an AMAZING top two. Maybe in a few years. But even on its own, Monster is so worth a trip to the park!
I think a Gerslaur Infinity coaster would be a great fit to replace Vortex at KI, they need some sort of Sit-down Looping coaster with a lift hill and looking at the space they have to work with. A Gerslaur Infinity coaster or a B&M Dive is a good fit imo.
And from what I understand since was an operator at Casino Pier on hydrus Greuslauer made lapbars comedown a bit more to keep you inside ride the inversions and prevent wear and tear many people complained about hydruses lapbar being to tight but there’s nothing we can do about it. Just my prospective Edit Hydrus’s
So, I used to live near this park. I was born in Des Moines and lived in Newton when this coaster hit the park, and this was my first real roller coaster ever. I sat front and middle when that first drop hit, and I was not loving it 😂
I rode this 7 times earlier this month, and the ops stapled me so hard, they were literally leaning their entire weight on the bar. And it wasn’t just one single op, it was multiple different ones, so it must have been policy. Still an insane ride though. Luckily it isn’t an airtime focused ride so it’s not the end of the world when you get stapled
The GP usually want to be stapled on this. If they recognize you coming back for more and more rides, they stop stapling you. They recognized me, because I was one of the only guests in the park wearing a mask. I then had so much room, even I was scared going into the drop.
So excited for a coaster with a Swedish loop! The Finnish and Norwegian loops are cool, so the Swedish loop will too! (Also the danish and Icelandic loops too)
It always looked sweet, but we can't always judge a coaster on the POV so I'm glad it is ineed a good ride. I kinda like how it has a slow-fast pacing. It looked fun to be up high hanging then dive down. Maybe I'm weird but I like that lol If only it had low fast sections to get some positive and lat Gs this may be a stunning ride
@@patternaut8338 Nice! That is the vibe it gave off. Shame there aren't some airtime hills or like high speed turns mixed in, but already sounds like a good ride, and with that much hang time they probably need the tight restraints ha
I love Gerstlauer's Infinity Coasters. I have ridden Karnan, Karacho and this week Gold Rush and all of them are in my TOP 10! (note: I live in Europe and never been in other continent)
I generally prefer Infinity Coasters over Euro-Fighters- but not necessarily the entire time. Just depends on the ride experience. As a whole, I also prefer the ones that have lap bars instead of OTSR's
I actually got some good pops of air on it. Idk if it’s because I’m a bigger guy and the restraints didn’t clamp down as hard but I thought the airtime was awesome.
I put Hangtime over this, simply because I feel Hangtime provides stronger airtime, and has a nice mix of inversions. I prefer airtime over hangtime so that's the only reason for me, bur Monster is a fun ride, and definitely has a funky layout
These are not your typical euro fighter trains though, these are infinity coaster trains with 2 rows only, and that's probably enough to handle the crowds of the comparably small Adventureland. Gerstlauer uses different train lengths depending on what the park wants. Fury @ Bobbejaanland has 3 rows and Gold Rush @ Attractiepark Slagharen has 5. It's not always the standard 4.
I won't be making them this year. Because of the pandemic, I highly doubt we'll be seeing much of anything next year. The only rides that we might see will be the ones that were already purchased before the shut down.
I’ve been a thoosie for almost 4 years and to this day, I still don’t know the difference between a gerstlauer eurofighter and a gerstlauer infinity coaster

4:04 the problem with kärnan is the parts they use They are not from gerstlauer. To save money they use their own, which make it run rough. That paid with there being to mich space between track and wheel and unsympathisch track it makes it rough.
I did a Mid-America tour in summer 2019 and this ride was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Would love to see more of these in the US. (Maybe at my home park--KD!!??)
rough rides = lack of maintenance. Stretching part replacement schedules to save a buck is the most common cause. Worn out wheels, too much play in the bogies beats up the track.
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed, You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy...wait, you meant the ride? I prefer Smiler, personally, mainly because of the airtime hills. I prefer Saw’s theming, but much prefer Smiler’s theme, if that makes sense.
mmegidolaonn Yeah I get what you’re saying, Smiler just doesn’t really do it for me like it does others, but the airtime hills are great!

Yes that’s what we need
I’m pretty sure a MACK Multi Launch, or Wing coaster will be the next coaster.

the reason it speeds up and then slows down is cuz of the short train, which is inconsistent with the drag
