I love your cooking videos, Relle😊 My husband and I are Hawai’i transplants living in West Texas for 10 years now so it’s so good to watch and learn local Hawai’i instant pot recipes from you. When I chop onions I just put a fan on the counter to the side of me on “Hi” speed and have it blow the onion spray/juices blow away from me. I haven’t had anymore tears since I’ve started cutting onions this way. Please try it, I know you’ll love it!
Aw thank you so much!
Love it! looks like home! I hope everyone tries this ! it's so fast if you crave some adobe like Lola used to make! Well... Just about... just quicker! Thank you for giving everyone this Instant pot instruction... So good!
Mahalo

Made it for dinner tonight, and it was delicious! 😋 Thank you for the amazing recipe!!
Glad you liked it!!
this is the only way we make it. turns out great. the instant pot makes it easy and quick.
So happy to hear. Mahalo!
It’s midnight here in Las Vegas and I just got hungry. I am making this tomorrow I can’t wait!!! Thank you for sharing your recipes!!
Hope you enjoy
Hello, so glad to have found your channel. I am a Filipina living in Spain and looking for adobo recipes in the instant pot to save time. I already made the pork adobo the other day and it was a hit! Totally husband and kids approved! I'm going to make the chicken adobo today, but I just took out the chicken from the freezer so maybe it will be a bit frozen when it's time to cook, I'll just increase the cooking time and hopefully it will come out great. God bless you.
Aloha. Hope you enjoyed it!. Have a great day.
the ip is my fav too i use it all the time your adobo looks good will try it
Hope you enjoy
So Thankful for all your recipes online. Ever since I got married my mom Decided she didn’t want to be in my life anymore. So when I wanna make a certain dish it’s not like I can just call my mom and ask her for the recipe. But on the bright side I just have to look up your channel on RUclips and find the recipe. Thank you thank you thank you!
I'm so sorry to hear that, but thankful my recipes can help you get some yummy dishes on the table to feed you and your 'ohana. Have a great day!
Relle, you are a natural at this ❤ I love your videos so much ❤ I can hear the pidgin in your voice ❤ Been in the states for over 47 years and I lost all of my Pidgin accent ❤ I love it too ❤ Mahalo nui loa, for a great video ❤
Thank you so much!!
Greaty recipe!
Thank you
👏 awesome
Thank you
Great instructional Relle! Can't wait to make my adobo in my instant pot. It looks like it will be perfect for larger pieces of chicken that take forever on the stovetop. Mahalo!
You are so welcome! Hope you enjoy.
@@KeepingItRelle just to add some suggestions for those who like their adobo slightly sweet, instead of a spoon of sugar..try a little coconut milk, 7up/Sprite , or sliced peeled apple. It doesnt need to be much.
First time watching your channel as I did a search for Chicken Adobo and well ....your channel came up!
Thank you. You made it super fun to listen to and watch. I have the smaller 3QT IP ...I think it's a DUO version as it's about 2 maybe going on 3 years old I think. Anyway, thanks again for posting/sharing. Enjoy! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Relle The best way fo no cry when cutting onions, is: make your husband do um! Nah, Nah I tell my wife to wear my dive mask and snorkel. She go ladat!
Haha. Great tip.
Ice wat tah! I run the water over the onion while cutting it…most times it’s impossible so I end up in tears any way! Thanks Relle! You da besss!😘💋🤙
Mahalo
Aloha from Alaska.... Mahalo for posting
Hope you enjoy!
Ho...my braddah Grind! LOL he loved it
The only thing that works for me against the onion tears are my contact lenses! They are the best protective shield against the gas released from the onion :) i always put my contacts on if i know i will be chopping onions lol. Recipe looks delicious, i will have to try it soon 😋 xoxo
Hope you enjoy
Onion trick ! Get paper towel damp fold and keep it next to you, viola !
Great tip!
Do lechon kalewe that is my favorite
Yum
If you wear contact lenses it’s the perfect shield
Aw shucks I don't use contacts.
I also would brown the onions, take them out, brown the potatoes, take them out and then the chicken. That helped flavor the potatoes. That would have the garlic too
Thanks for the tip
Onion trick that works if stove is not hot. Turn vent fan on your microwave or hood above your stove on high, and cut underneath the hood on the stove. The gasses that make your eyes water will be sucked up and blown away from your face.
Thank you
Rinse your onions in cold water for 60 seconds. Helps with not making you cry. :)
Thanks for the tip
What’s the difference between manual high pressure vs pressure cool high?
Sorry I'm not familiar with pressure cool high.
Lots of Filipino nurses there
Yes there is
My contact lenses keep my eyes dry when cutting onions!
Great idea!!
I like to add 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce :-)
Thanks for the tip
Try to put the onion in freezer before cutting it to avoid watery eyes..
Thank you
I also don’t use bay leaves and I had someone literally steal my potatoes when I brought it to a friends house. That might help people who might want to try adobo but don’t have any bay leaves
Mahalo for sharing
@@KeepingItRelle walang anuman
How can I cook this if I only have a Dutch oven?
Simmer on the stove until tender. Same ingredients.
@@KeepingItRelle Thank you
can I even cook this on stove the same way instead of instant pot
Sure can. It will just take longer to cook down.
Girl go little bit Portuguese get the kids swimming pool gargoyles
You know the one that just cover your eyeball and just where that when you cut your onion try it 💯🤣🤣🤙🏼🙏❤️
😂😂😂😂
I don’t like vinegar at all in adobo so I add wine
Never tried it with wine
When was taught to make adobo they squished the garlic but left it whole if that would help people
Thanks for the tip
You don’t need to add water?
No water needed. The liquid in the recipe is enough to create the steam and pressure.
No burn notice?

Ah ha, yes, yes, us husbands are always at fault. You're lucky you didn't send him to Costco. You'd have to freeze some, or make enough for the whole neighborhood.
👍
In the recipe I do not find anywhere you say how much soy sauce or vinegar to add.
The recipe is written in the description or on the blog post if you scroll to the bottom of the post. Mahalo.
