    Instant Pot Chicken Adobo Recipe
    Ingredients:
    Cooking oil of choice
1 pound chicken thighs and/or drumsticks
    ½ small onion, diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    ½ cup shoyu amzn.to/3Ku3Ts9
    ¼ cup vinegar amzn.to/3jmm1Iq
    1 teaspoon black peppercorn amzn.to/3DWAT9U
    2 bay leaves amzn.to/3JrBSQK
    Directions:
    1. Set a 6 quart Instant Pot to saute mode.
    2. Add oil and chicken. Brown the chicken on all sides.
    3. Then add the onion and garlic. Cook until fragrant.
    4. Next add shoyu, vinegar, peppercorn, and bay leaves. Stir to combine.
    5. Cover with lid and set to sealing. Cancel saute mode.
    6. Cook on manual high pressure for 10 minutes. Once the cooking cycle has completed, carefully quick release remaining steam by turning the knob to venting.
    7. When the pin has dropped, open the lid and set to saute. Saute for a few minutes until the sauce thickens up and ENJOY!

I love your cooking videos, Relle😊 My husband and I are Hawai’i transplants living in West Texas for 10 years now so it’s so good to watch and learn local Hawai’i instant pot recipes from you. When I chop onions I just put a fan on the counter to the side of me on “Hi” speed and have it blow the onion spray/juices blow away from me. I haven’t had anymore tears since I’ve started cutting onions this way. Please try it, I know you’ll love it!

Hello, so glad to have found your channel. I am a Filipina living in Spain and looking for adobo recipes in the instant pot to save time. I already made the pork adobo the other day and it was a hit! Totally husband and kids approved! I'm going to make the chicken adobo today, but I just took out the chicken from the freezer so maybe it will be a bit frozen when it's time to cook, I'll just increase the cooking time and hopefully it will come out great. God bless you.

So Thankful for all your recipes online. Ever since I got married my mom Decided she didn’t want to be in my life anymore. So when I wanna make a certain dish it’s not like I can just call my mom and ask her for the recipe. But on the bright side I just have to look up your channel on RUclips and find the recipe. Thank you thank you thank you!

@@KeepingItRelle just to add some suggestions for those who like their adobo slightly sweet, instead of a spoon of sugar..try a little coconut milk, 7up/Sprite , or sliced peeled apple. It doesnt need to be much.

The only thing that works for me against the onion tears are my contact lenses! They are the best protective shield against the gas released from the onion :) i always put my contacts on if i know i will be chopping onions lol. Recipe looks delicious, i will have to try it soon 😋 xoxo

I also would brown the onions, take them out, brown the potatoes, take them out and then the chicken. That helped flavor the potatoes. That would have the garlic too

Onion trick that works if stove is not hot. Turn vent fan on your microwave or hood above your stove on high, and cut underneath the hood on the stove. The gasses that make your eyes water will be sucked up and blown away from your face.
