    Rice chicken and banana is also a Cuban thing. Incredible cultural exchange around half the world.

    banana and rice does taste good! my mexican step dad would eat banana with spanish rice all the time.

      Grumples ooo interesting! Spanish rice has a lot of flavor so I can see where the banana can sort of mellow out that taste. Yum!

    So do you cut off a piece of banana and put some meat with it on your utensil and eat it like that or the banana is chewed on its own?

      @@CPsays cool. Sometimes Walmart has gizzards on clearance pretty cheap. Might make a great video. Also I sometimes make the Adobo with coconut milk. ✌😎👍

    The Banana is a spanish thing... I grew up eating it with most foods.. it is way for little kids to eat their meals.. Soul food.. :)

    How does frying affect the flavor/texture of the chicken? I never heard of frying instead of sauteeing but I'm very intrigued

    What's the difference between Filipino vinegar, white vinegar and apple cider vinegar in Adobo. Or are they pretty much the same?

      They’re all a little different in terms of tangy, and sharpness. Filipino vinegar is made with cane and so it’s not sweet or too sharp. ACV is more fruity/tart. White vinegar is more sweet and mild. Filipino and white vinegar are closer in taste

      Traditionally it’s made with cane vinegar. But more western takes use other types of vinegar (:

    You could throw the eggs in the instant pot to hard boil while the chicken is cooking. When I make potato salad, eggs go in while the potato cooks. =)
