Not gonna lie, I have a lot of nostalgia for this game. I saw the movie when I was about three or four and absolutely loved it. I even had an official tie-in plush Rudolph whose nose would light up and sing the song. So of course my parents got me the game, too. The funny thing is I could never beat it, so I spent most my time using the print shop to create elaborate Rudolph-themed comics and I think that was utimately more enjoyable.
You need more fonts to write a note You don't like the look of what you wrote Calibri to make it neat Some Comic Sans to make it cheap And you've got... Too Many Typefonts.. Too Many Typefonts!
My little brother went through a phase where he watched that movie just about every day year round so there is no way I will ever be able to forget that one whether I want to or not
Holy hell, I totally forgot about this game! I used to play it back in the day when I had a very...limited... selection of games, but I loved every second of playing it anyway. Now I'll look for this game somewhere on the internet and experience some nostalgia.
The box reminds me of a old VHS copy of "Shocker" I used to have, it featured a convict strapped in to an electric chair, being executed. The front was raised a little bit and where the eyes were supposed to be were tiny little yellow lights that flashed on and off. I bought it from a old video store we used to have in the area.
LGR added me to his circles .. I have no idea if that is some automatic shit that happens to all subscribers etc. *But man I feel so special and flattered* XD ... I love your content mate, thanks for all the hard work!
Next edutainment month, I would love to see you cover some of the games by Humongous Entertainment, like the Spy Fox series, or the Pajama Sam series. Loved these games as a kid!
0:53 OH MY GOD THAT VHS WAS MY CHILDHOOD. I found it at some random drug store because it was Christmastime and, hey, rudolph. I haven't seen it in years, so all of what I'm saying is pure nostalgia, but I remember enjoying it so much it got me buying rudolph and reindeer plushies every December!
So, I just found your channel a few weeks ago and have been going through all of your content. This, and the babysitter ninja weird game prove that you are destined for sainthood for your patience. Bravo, sir.
That LED reminds me of the Commodore 64 port of the Star Wars arcade game. The box had an electronic component attached inside that would play the Star Wars theme (composed of electronic beeps) when you pressed on it.
I never really got into PC games as a kid, since all we could afford were board games, but I did eventually save up for a SNES when they were about two years old and I enjoyed them to no end. Never got anything Christmas related on the system, but I did buy myself some games for Christmas a few times for the SNES!
Hi lgr!! Oh your a great guy! You know a computer game doesn't have allot of meaning until someone makes light of it and adds allot of friendly energy to it which you do, these things go hand in hand man ! Stay fresh :-)
I was obsessed with Rudolph as a kid, and this was my one and only Christmas game. I loved it so much, even though it's little more than a couple of mini games. Five year old me adored it anyway ❤
Haha, wow.. Based on the intro of the game I assumed it was going to be a point 'n click adventure in the style of the Sierra classics of the era. That could have been decent, but instead it's a compilation of weak mini games. That's kind of lame.
So that's why Santa stopped throwing things down chimneys. He stopped caring. My parents made their own variations of what Santa did and said he went through the door, ate the cookies, and put the presents down. So he's quite a slob in my parents' far more modernized versions of the stories. He also goes to the stores and buys the presents at those places and my grandma is one of his helpers. Somehow, I never questioned this until I got older. My nephew, sadly, is getting the old school stuff that seems less plausible than a jolly fat guy breaking in through the door and buying everything at Wal-Mart. Santa also gets money donated to him by parents, who are also his helpers. My parents are kind of masters at making this seem plausible. They really should remake the Santa stories and mention he breaks in through the door with magic door opening powers, now that I think about it. And, I think I've been inspired to do this now.
The present dropping part is also familiar to the 8-bit dirge that is Santa's Christmas Capers, difference being you could shoot snowballs in that. Ah, christmas games....
I used to own this game as a kid! I completely forgot about it until now! I remember really enjoying the present delivery game. I don't think I ever watched the movie though.
hahaha lol my younger cousins had this game at their house and I think my grandpa had it too, on his computer, for the kids to play. Can't remember the last time I played it. I remember the bees and the oils. My favorite part were the random thunderstorms when Santa delivered the toys.
Huh. I'm probably outing myself in a way I probably shouldn't, but Rudolph sounds almost exactly like Spike from that _Pony_ show. Except looking into the list of actors on IMDb (for the film, since IMDb only lists that and not the game), it appears it's not Spike's voice actress, Cathy Weseluck, but actually Kathleen Barr, the voice of Trixie. Not sure why that'd sound familiar, since Rudolph sounds nothing like Trixie. Maybe she can do a good Spike impression? Maybe the game could only afford Weseluck (who actually _was_ in the film, with the all-important roles of "Sparkle the Sprite" and "Elf Crowd Member #1")? Maybe I'm overthinking this? Yeah, let's go with that one. Also, apparently Rudolph's father, Blitzen, is Grounder from _Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog_ (Garry Chalk), there's some fox voiced by Eric Idle of _Monty Python_, the villain is Whoopi Goldberg, Santa is John Goodman, Bob Newhart and Richard Simmons are in here... all that talent, yet almost nobody remembers this thing at all. Rather impressive.
I find this really interesting, but probably just due to the fact I REALLY like Spike's voice. Dunno why. Anyway, thanks for the info. I hear Lani Minella, the voice actress for Rouge the Bat, was also the voice actress for Bubsy (back when that was a thing). Honestly something you'd never really guess.
I don't get it man ... why, why do you people watch shows made for little girls? I mean ... what would even make you try it out? I watched the bronie docu .. and all it did was freak me the fuck out. It makes no sense to me .. seeing teen dudes/grown up men going all fanboy over some show for little girls .. it .. it makes no sense. And really I don't mean to insult you guys .. but I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that you guys actually watch something like that and without trolling really enjoy that stuff
When i was a lad I had a book that had a little light up led on it. It may have been a Rudolph book, actually. I also had a couple books with a button on them that you pressed and it played... a sound. Music, probably. I don't remember. Pretty neat, though.
I love those small audio add ons like 00:40 they add that extra charm. Also I feel like its been awhile since I've seen you sip from that can in the intro?
My four Traditional Christmas Movies are Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Batman Returns & Nightmare Before Christmas. I would have more like that Scrooge movie with Bill Murray, but these are all I have at this moment.
I actually remember quite liking this version of the Rudolph story (the cartoon I mean) the artstyle was kinda bland and they didn't bring anything special to the table but it was perfectly servicable for my 8 year old self and at least it had John Goodman which is always a plus in my book.
♫It takes a lot to type a review, A pinch of ink and paper too, A scoop of formatting to add the spice, A dash of clipart to make it nice, and you got..♫ ♫Too Many Typefonts...♫ ♫Too Many Typefonts...♫
Yup, Wizardworks cashed in on all sorts of licenses in the mid to late-90's. They've got a ton of classics published, although they developed precious little on their own.
OI i'll have to know that me and MY FRIENDS watch the movie this game is based on EVERY YEAR it's terrible, but i like it in the same way that i like the room. there's so much about it that's bizarre that i just... love it! (i even did a cover of it on my channel. not tryina shameless plug here so i tried to write enough to get it below the show more cutoff ahaha. happy holidays everyone
My great aunt did the voice for Mrs. Clause in the stop motion special.
Say WHAT?!?!
That is pretty great. :D
Upon the screen blow I my marijuana smoke
Lucky you.
“Eat, Papa, eat!”

Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover? I would love to see LGR put a picture of himself in that and let Pushing Up Roses give him a makover.
It's been done!

Lazy Game Reviews Damn, LGR! You look good in Covergirl! :D
You need more fonts to write a note

The animation is like...surprisingly smooth?
My little brother went through a phase where he watched that movie just about every day year round so there is no way I will ever be able to forget that one whether I want to or not
I LOVED THIS GAME AS A KID! I played it every year around Christmas time and never got tired of it.
Hard times when the pegnuins have come all the way from the south pole just to mess with santa!
They're blaming him for global warming.
@@hestushenchman I mean, he's famous for running a factory and taking worldwide flights, he obviously isn't helping the situation.
Holy hell, I totally forgot about this game! I used to play it back in the day when I had a very...limited... selection of games, but I loved every second of playing it anyway. Now I'll look for this game somewhere on the internet and experience some nostalgia.
Love those seasonal games that try to cash in on the craze of the season
I actually remember this game very vividly from my childhood. I loved it but could never find it again as an adult. Thanks for the nostalgia!
OMFG, that hyper speed intro was hysterical ;D. I can't stop watching it.
The box reminds me of a old VHS copy of "Shocker" I used to have, it featured a convict strapped in to an electric chair, being executed. I played this a lot as a kid.
Like, hours and hours, thinking it was the best thing ever.
I was really dumb as a six year old.
Yeah, I'm going to have to use some caps here. Just imagine me yelling it quite loudly and excitedly waving my arms.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR SHIRT! 8D
Next edutainment month, I would love to see you cover some of the games by Humongous Entertainment, like the Spy Fox series, or the Pajama Sam series. Loved these games as a kid!
I do plan to cover some of them, but not for Edutainment Month. They're not edutainment games, they're simply games for kids :)
The design and polish of this game is sooo polished and underated. The designers / artists deserve a payrise, or something.. polish
Lovin' the classic intros! Very nostalgic.
I loved that printer comment. My own printer has decided to be evil for a few days now...I am considering giving it a time out :)
3:25 The overlapping voices remind me of when Sonic Adventure 2's cutscenes are sped-up...
You only ever need comic sans. Resume? Comic sans. Birthday card? Comic sans. With sympathies funeral note? Comic sans.
This was my fave game as a kid , I spent so many years playing this and the nostalgia is crazy
I had the video when I was a kid, used to watch it often at Christmas. Looking back, I can't help but wonder...
I remember that Rudolph movie! I grew up with that version on VHS. Haven't watched it in years, but the memories are fond.
That sped up intro, though! 😂 🤣 😂 🤣

OH MY GOD is that Cathy Weseluck voicing Rudolph??? As soon as he spoke I immediately heard Spike. Mind blown!
Looks like you had some Good Times! Nice Too Many Cooks reference.
Hi lgr!! Oh your a great guy! You know a computer game doesn't have allot of meaning until someone makes light of it and adds allot of friendly energy to it which you do, these things go hand in hand man ! Stay fresh :-)
i just want to say that i love your videos , and i hope you make many more in the upcoming years .
and happy holidays
I was obsessed with Rudolph as a kid, and this was my one and only Christmas game. I loved it so much, even though it's little more than a couple of mini games. Five year old me adored it anyway ❤
Dude! Dat KidPix diskette at the beginning! (0:02) Would love to have that game!!
Haha, wow.. Based on the intro of the game I assumed it was going to be a point 'n click adventure in the style of the Sierra classics of the era. That could have been decent, but instead it's a compilation of weak mini games. That's kind of lame.
3:49 - Wait a minute...
Is that Cathy Wesluck's (Spike) voice?
So that's why Santa stopped throwing things down chimneys. He stopped caring.

Dat Commander Keen shirt. Nice.
This video was totally worth it just for the high-speed intro. (3:23) Ah, to not code proper timing routines.
Hey, that I watched that movie twice in my childhood. Brings back memories.
The present dropping part is also familiar to the 8-bit dirge that is Santa's Christmas Capers, difference being you could shoot snowballs in that. Ah, christmas games....
Now I want to see a Too Many Typefonts wideo in the style of Too Many Cooks. :/
I like the callback intros. it is its own present for the holiday.
Commander Keen-shirt FOR THE FRIGGIN' WIN !!!!!
You are epic Clint, I mostly like your PC game reviews, you should have 1 million subscribers :)
I used to own this game as a kid! I completely forgot about it until now! I remember really enjoying the present delivery game. I don't think I ever watched the movie though.
The Too Many Cooks reference is the best joke I will hear all week.
I really liked that movie when I was little
great to see the intro back :)
hahaha lol my younger cousins had this game at their house and I think my grandpa had it too, on his computer, for the kids to play. Can't remember the last time I played it. I remember the bees and the oils. My favorite part were the random thunderstorms when Santa delivered the toys.
Love the Christmas setup LGR! I tried for something similar.

Haha, I also thought it was Cathy Weseluck. Well, thanks for doing the work for me! Saved me some time :3
Well, the Rudolph in the movie sounds nothing like Spike, so I guess that's actually Cathy Weseluk.
I don't get it man ... why, why do you people watch shows made for little girls? I mean ... what would even make you try it out? I watched the bronie docu .. and all it did was freak me the fuck out. 3choBlast3r It's fun. That's all there is to it.
Fun.
I used to have that Rudolph movie on VHS. Looking back on it, it really was crap, but It left me some great childhood christmas memories
RUclips recommended me this, I thought it was new. I was excited. I am still happy to watch it, but no 2020 LGR Christmas??
The movie is of my top five Christmas flicks but I never knew it had games. Now I know why.
When i was a lad I had a book that had a little light up led on it. It may have been a Rudolph book, actually. I also had a couple books with a button on them that you pressed and it played... a sound. Music, probably. I don't remember. Pretty neat, though.
Oh my god the caffeine scene XD
I love those small audio add ons like 00:40 they add that extra charm. Also I feel like its been awhile since I've seen you sip from that can in the intro?
Good Times Entertainment actually paid to have a licensed game for this thing?
Otaking Mikohani surprisingly not published by gt interactive, given their connections
Well dang, didn't know that. Guess this Good Times hole went deeper than expected. How unexpected.
@@BurnyToast Certainly more unexpected than Old Man. He's always expected.
Time for an LGR Christmas special.
crazy...i had this when i was 3 years old and had no memory of it until i found this video
LOL that cheesy dweepy Winter Wonder Land song at the end :) Beautiful, hilarious review. Keep 'm coming!
This was one of my fave films as a kid...
3:28- Well now we know why his nose is red
Another outstanding video.
Thanks :)
Lazy Game Reviews Your welcome. You really deserve it with all the hard work you put into your videos.
You make me want to get into collecting big box games lol

I see you got the 50th Anniversary Ed of Rudolph.
Oh my god I used to play this game as a kid! I totally forgot about it!
Holy crap this brings me back.
My four Traditional Christmas Movies are Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Batman Returns & Nightmare Before Christmas.
I would have more like that Scrooge movie with Bill Murray, but these are all I have at this moment.
Great Holiday Special :)

SoranovaArtMain i loved it as well! it was actually a really nice movie :3
I actually remember quite liking this version of the Rudolph story (the cartoon I mean) the artstyle was kinda bland and they didn't bring anything special to the table but it was perfectly servicable for my 8 year old self and at least it had John Goodman which is always a plus in my book.
Gotta go get that Commander Keen shirt now.
One of the elves sounds like the elves in the Elf Bowling series of freeware games lol.
Aaaand, now I"m distracted by a Commander Keen shirt.

i actually used to adore the movie when i was a kid, though i haven't dared watch it since became an adult lol
I played this as a kid, the memories. The only thing was that the game over screen creeped me out...
I remember that movie... it was... okay... it's ok for Xmas.
They've got LED boxes. LED. Boxes.
The LED was more interesting than the game, just look at that buttery smooth blinking light gameplay at 60fps 1080p 😏
Santa's workers sure loves coffee.
I remember Wizard Works from there horrible packaging of some of my favorite SSI RPGs and Strategy games.
i LOVED this game as a kid
Wizardsworks made alot of SSI and RPG game compilations back in the day, i own a few of their boxes.
Yup, Wizardworks cashed in on all sorts of licenses in the mid to late-90's. They've got a ton of classics published, although they developed precious little on their own.
