Glad I came across this video. My grandma has a bag of clothes from an older cousin that was going to donation and I found a carhart shirt in the bag. Ended up being one of my favorite shirts. The fit, wash, color, materials, everything about it. Love made me love the brand and the quality. I think a lot of today’s brands try to replicate that thick quality and very nice look even after wash. Worn but nice

im a huge carhartt fan since i live and work in them. i own a lot of mainline carhartt pieces, from pants to jacket, and a couple WIP pieces, mainly accessories and outerwears. but in my opinion on a price to quality ratio, WIP is not worth it unless you want the collaborate pieces or the classics in more fashionable colorways. if you want the normal carhartt pieces to fit like the WIP counterparts, you can always size down or go for the shorter inseam length for the pants because that works for me. my latest WIP pick up was the carhartt x apc watch back in january.
No doubt! And I agree with you which is why I mostly only buy their items on sale. If you truly inspect the two tho, there is a difference on the fashion side of things. The colors and material options catch my eye a lot more than main line stuff does. But I would like to try some of the newer main line tees out this summer. Any recommendations ?
@@Eddiewinkicks gilliam jacket is a very functional and stylish jacket that comes in many colors for $100. it fits true to size, which is very surprising for regular carhartt. crowley jacket is also pretty nice, it fits kinda slim, its kinda like a padded shell jacket, it has that tactical techwear vibe too it. for t shirts, try signature logo long sleeve t shirt, and force cotton delmont short sleeve t shirt. signature logo long sleeve t looks very WIP-ish but only comes in earth tone colors and loose fit. force cotton delmont short sleeve t fits closer to body, and comes in many colors, including some trendy colors like pink, and some other pastel colors. for pants though, if you're not into wider pants, go for anything that says straight or tappered. some of their pants have both labeled, and those are pretty much carhartt's slim fit. but if you like to try the wider pants, all of their dungarees are nice, and they're kinda shrink to fit. i bought most of WIP off END on sale too! huge fan of END, their 2-3 days shipping is magical.
They don't make the tobin puffa anymore I have a few different carhartt coats and jackets always in large but the tobin I have is also a large but its smaller than my other jackets I should've got the xtra large

Sorry about that! I know it was a little confusing. The outerwear runs big, so I sized down in that stuff. But the t-shirts fit TTS. My true size is XL and that’s what I got them in and they fit me great. So no I don’t think sizing up to a large is necessary. Let me know how it works out!

Funny enough, the Michigan jacket is my favorite out of my FW pickups (aside from the lint), I can throw a shirt on and it’ll keep me warm & I’ve worn it consistently and the canvas looks brand new.

Ya the sizing is confusing sorry about that. The Camo jacket is a size Large, I’m typically an XL is most jackets so yes I did size down. I probably could’ve gone TTS but judging by how most WIP outerwear runs big I sized down and it worked out. None of my local stores carry it either so online was best bet. I’m 6’2
