What day was this Bob? I went on the Saturday 15th a great show but rain spoilt so I went home at 2pm. Only wanted to see Raptor, Grippan, lightning? with those white flashes on upper wings. F- thingys and eurofighter, lancaster and spits. Breath taking seeing them overhead from your view point. I love the sound and shocking sight of them. I'm usually on the grandstand near the top row in the middle but with rain forecast I chose to sit on the pavement crowd line near helicopter's static display.
This comment makes me realise why I only have a handful of subscribers haha and my channel overall under performs somewhat You don't get it and never will..
Youre right i dont get it, 30 years ago i was standing with a camera, number book, binoculair and a handscanner all over airbases in Europe to spot, spotting has died. So i will never get these clips only for the clicks. You guys are youtubers, youre no spotters. You get all your info from the internet, how are you spotting the serial numbers of all the landing planes?
The killjoys have ruined any chances of catching the touchdowns from this location by putting up loads of expensive and ridiculous fences everywhere, all in the name of safety. But pretty sure it's just being bossy, taking freedom of folks away and spoiling our fun
As one who spent 42 years in British aerospace defence projects, watching this makes me weep. Tornado, Harrier, Nimrod all scrapped with years of effective life ahead of them. Meanwhile we bow the knee to the US to build a bit of metal for its £100m a throw F35. Criminal.
Possibly one of my countrymen (US) complaining about the ‘cost’ of the UK/USA alliance (which has of course benefitted both countries greatly, not least that we’ve copied pretty much everything the Royal Navy did up to & including most carrier innovations).

Utmost respect to the folks keeping those WWII warbirds flying!
It's amazing how the f4 phantom is still a fighting machine that if needed can dogfight and pack a mean punch 👊
💯👍✈

There's just something magical about watching all this engineering in action.

WHAT A KILLER SPOT BOB!!!!
Pleased you enjoyed watching 👍
It certainly is a 'Killer Spot".
Particularly if the aircraft has a problem on Finals.
When are you people going to learn!??
@@gazza2933 thought the same thing. Myself, I’d be at a 45 degree angle off the centerline
I lnow it’s been a few years but I still think we should never have retired the harrier

I'm with you on that.
The F-35's are Awesome for sure. The Harrier is more of tank though. Takes more abuse and it's got a more psychological, mennising look and effect.

Nice touch seeing those three shapes in the sky together
Great footage bob❤

Full mark's bob❤

Amazing to think that the first flight of the B52, or at least the prototype, was only 7 years after the end of WW2 and is still in active service
Harrier still looks as graceful as ever.
and I dare say as useful
nice to see it still out there
@@bobsurgranny you may, and you are correct.

Love the Phantom best.
Nice touch seeing the Phantom. Shame they don't get one doing a display or at least lower pass on arrival

I love the F35. Great video Bob :D
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
I love the sound of the A400M. Awesome.
Lovely sound and so distinctive, I always know right away even when it flies over at high altitude
my favorite is the 262, i didnt even know they had one still flying!
It is a replica, but still neat seeing one flying 👍✈
So hard to pick a favourite but will go for B52, just so menacing and Dr Strange love, 👍❤
Glad you enjoyed watching along and found it tough choosing a fav 😉👍
A400 looks like the love child of a C-130 and a C-17. Good looking aircraft though. Cheers from the US.
Very nice!

I didn’t think Harriers were flying around like that anymore. With the f35b I thought they were totally obsolete
USMC still use the Harrier, along with Spain and Italy that I know of
A two seater harrier! Didn’t know that exists cause I usually see a single seater harrier flying.
