Why was the P-51 chrome? Also the bell jet but literally half of the German planes and almost all British planes are missing. What about the P-38, Mosquito, Fw-190. I also argue the 163 doesn't count because it's not sustained speed it's a glider after the rocket burns out. If you count the 163 than you need to count the V2.

@@Captain_Deadstick The p51 was chrome because when they were making it, the skies were already controlled, so they didnt need to paint their planes, samw with late bombers, like b29.
Btw, me 163 its rocket fuelled, but still a fighter jet... So, modern fighter jets are orbital space crafts or fighter jets...?

Also many of these planes had variations over the years with very different performance. It seems odd that a 4 engine heavy bomber with all that drag and carrying all those heavy bombs/equipment could reach 500kmph, faster than some way more agile aircraft from the same time period...

The clip is very unspecific, not mentioning which version it describes. For example, first A6M Zeroes had a cruising speed of ca. 500 km/h. The one on the movie is probably the latest one - A6M5 (first, widely produced was A6M2). Same goes for Spitfires, which had over 14 versions, and Me/Bf 109s, which had at least 7 versions. I don't have such in-depth knowledge, to judge all the planes, but please be specific in the future, especially in the era of online games, which try to be pretty acurate with the technicalities.

Nice video it was interesting to see the comparisons, it would've been better though if you specified which variation of aircraft is depicted since there are many that look similar to each other but perform differently. Also probably should have used the accurate top speed at sea level since these planes all had different top speeds depending on altitude. For example the f4f wildcat while perhaps reaching 512kmh at optimum altitude of around 6.5km could only reach around 450kmh at sea level so the comparisons are a bit off in relation to the background. Really nice animation though and cool video concept.
