I was so dissappointed when they cancelled the rest of the tour as I finally was going to get to see Van Halen and was holding some most excellent floor seats. Of course I learned later it was due Eddie's illness but I was no less disappointed having near gotten to see them.
Greatest band in the world and was even MORE Van Halen with Wolfie in the band, saw em 3 times from 21012 to 2015, and even saw Ed cut his thumb and bleed on the guitar during Eruption in Osh Kosh Wisconsin at RockUSA!!! my 1st VH show was 82 at the Spectrum in Philly when Ed played with a cast on his thumb.
I have once again learned how to appreciate Van Halen, RIP Eddy, Alex you are amazing and David, well your vocals and song writing skills are second to none. It is good to come back to the truly great 80's rock, it was the best era.
I never accepted that Michael Anthony wasn’t brought back for this tour and the new album. Wolfgang is a talented guy and I think Mammoth his band are great. But to me he looks like a little kid and that kinda spoils it for me. I never cared for this lineup or the Sammy Hagar lineup. Rip Ed.
Dave's vaudeville "slide dancing" is anything but rock n' roll. And whenever someone has a solo he seems to try to suck attention away and onto himself.
David Lee Roth was kicked out of the band for a reason! Even though they may good music together David Lee Roth his ego was just way out there way way out there The band was better than his singing! I never seen David Lee Roth pick up one instrument! That's where the real talent is is the music not just singing only! He was nothing without Van Halen Van Halen made David Lee Roth! Know ifs ands or butts about it!
Dave played several instruments on VH. Acoustic guitar on 'Ice Cream Man', 'Could This Be Magic?', 'Stay Frosty' and 'The Full Bug'. He also played harmonica on 'The Full Bug' and synthesizer on 'Intruder' and 'Tattoo'.
Roth was never capable of singing it the way we bought the record. Personally I don’t like that, we buy a record as a fan and buy tickets so the band should play it the way we bought it.
They do play it the way you bought it...on the album. Knock yourself out with it. But live shows are intended to give the audience a bit different flavor. Otherwise we would all stay home.

Mr Dilly has seen Van Halen with David Lee and with Sammy Hagar... Michael definitely should have been there... but it still turned out Great.!!!
