- Award winning AFL journalist interviews Alan Stoneham in one of the most moving interviews in the history of Open Mike.
Alan Stoneham was an unbelievable footballing talent, debuting for the Western Bulldogs at the top level at the age of just 16 years-old.
It was tough and physical. But nothing that would compare to the rollercoaster to follow his testing AFL career.
For the first time, Stoneham opens up to award winning AFL journalist Mike Sheahan about the tragic, life-changing events that would change his life for ever in 2013.
Alan Stoneham. You are incredibly strong. I wish you peace and happiness for your days to come. You have so much courage to deal with your family situation. I wish all the best for you.
A very sad but truly great interview by Mike Sheehan
I'm not sure of that. Mike spends too much time on negative things. Like fights and tragedy etc... he's a journalist and they're negative
Amazing interview. 😊
A great junior, probably didn't live up to the hype but a very good player. A part of the 70's Footscray blond brigade.
Great guy I met him in Adelaide at a party during his playing time
Guy seems like a class act
Sounds like he played VFL footy . Nothing stops the Sheehan Vic centric. Go and listen to the Phil Carman interview. The bloke is staggered .
Scraping the bottom of the barrel. Met him down in Hobart in 2015 at the Salamanca markets at a local cafe. Tried to cut the line in front of me. Total flog.
YOU'RE AN EFFWIT!
Get help mate. You say that little ‘*story’ about everyone.
Stoneham was disguised as Geoff Blethyn at that time, was he?
His son got a very light sentence
And not a psychotic episode from what I have read. Stoneham has painted a fairly inaccurate representation of events.
Why keep pressing with a tough topic. Grub . Nothing but a grub Sheean and Fox. Not a human bone in your body . Terrible people .
Taken his ex girlfriend's life?and victim's both sides of the story?Come on Mike.
How you would feel if and god forbid, your son did that? Wouldn’t you feel like a victim due to the situation?
@@paulcleary7387 ofc shes a victim. wouldnt you be absolutely devasted, destroyed and feel despair tho by what your son did? that is what i mean by victim
