When the CW 12 launched I was amazed at the spec, but the PRX seemed to pull if off a little more effortlessly. I thought they were both too big, however, so I was really glad when the PRX Powermatic was made available in 35. But to my disappointment, the dimensions didn't work as well on the smaller PRX. With the Christopher Ward it is the opposite: It finally seems to have the effortless elegance and beauty I couldn't see in the bigger version. CW are really killing it atm, I will have to get this one!

how is your 36mm? I got 16.2cm wrist and tried PRX 40mm that looked a bit too large for my liking..35mm was too small. So I wonder what's it like with 36 CW watch?

Love this - the absence of a date is a big feature for me because "wind, set 'n go" is awesome when you have a few to choose from, and winders are stupid. Have to admit though, for an everyday 3-hander, I'll buy the Hamilton Murph 38 first (Hamilton fanboy here) - but as an integrated, this would (will?) be mine soon. 37/8mm would sell more though - I think guys (guys buy more watches) still think 36 is a little "unisex" - although I love my '98 36mm Tag - so maybe not?

I wholeheartedly agree with the passionate argument that this version is probably better than the first. It somehow also manages to put more distance between it snd its very many quite literal sources of inspiration. I will also tale your word for it thst CW is doing very good things, and while initially I rhought no colour of the 36mm appeals to me (where are more interesting options, such as mulberry here?), i actually am starting to like the white and rose gold version more and more (should add that I seem to have grown out of my liking of the same version of the Maurice Lacroix Icon). What I don't truly get is the insistence of the importance of this particular integrated bracelet watch by CW. The transition of CW is important, but there are so many truly excellent and in terms of design more authentic integrated bracelet watches. Yes, now rhe Twelve jas become more desirable and it remains reasonably affordable, but it sits amongst a crowd and is not really a trailblazer.

I do wish The Twelve 36mm had a date window. I can say I like my CW very much and wear it even more often than my Rolex. Great watch for the money. However the quality is not at all a Swiss made watch like as I had to return it with such a major issue on dial that you would not expect with a normal watch forget about Swiss watch in fact, I had ordered a rubber strap as well, which wasn’t fitting to the Watch even after numerous attempts and to that there customer care actually acknowledged that they have this issue as common complaint. Any guess on whether they'll make a bronze version? Then again, the Astral Blue dial I like the most seems to come with titanium cases only.

Is that a Father Ted reference snuck in there. I’m a fan of this size. Can’t to see how this evolves.

Is this really the new Lichen Green color that came out? It looks like a deeper green on their website!

Yes, date window is not necessary in such a watch...have they fixed the ratchet wheel issue?

I think is really a fantastic watch. Very undecided still about the 4 colors available 😂. They are all very nice.

I’ll just settle for the 40mm Twelve that I ordered 6 months ago that may arrive in November

Is there a big wait time? The website doesn't say that. Does it? I want one for my wedding in December.

@@bennygordon5898 They made a mistake and didn’t actually add my order to the June run so I’ve now got to wait until the current production run in November. I haven’t heard of anyone else having this problem though so it’s possible I was just particularly unlucky.

@@lemmontree1 yeah - I wanted a smaller watch, but none that intrigued me at the $1000 price so I went with the Maen. Just don’t want to spend another $1200 to add the twelve until I live with the Manhattan and decide if it is a keeper :)

As the original size was too small for me, I was hoping a 43mm version. Now I am disappointed. A 2-tone version might be interesting to see in a bigger size. Titanium would work well with gold.
