    Small critique, because I'm a huge fan of the Watchfinder channel and you as a presenter! The repeated cuts seem more jarring than helpful, but if they absolutely must stay in, turning them into title cards for the next topic would help them feel more a part of the video's overall flow. Either way, I'm always happy for more Andrew!

      I agree, it's confusing and almost frustrating. Like, what even is it?

    • @brett3310
      @brett3310 Год назад +1

      Agreed, the sharp change from softer and cooler blue hues into a BRIGHT red/orange on a single frame just makes ir that much more of a visual assault.
      Love the videos, but that cut makes me happier to just scroll down and listen instead of watch.

      I think this is kind of part of his dry sense of humor. I took it as being intentionally choppy with the abrupt endings seemingly in the middle of a sound bite.

    Wish I could get the SW-300 in the steel case. The watch is not so big and heavy that Ti is really necessary, and I prefer the looks of the brighter metal - and the light blue dial is the one that appeals to me. I'll wait and see how the model line develops.

    • @mickeymichaels1298
      @mickeymichaels1298 11 месяцев назад +1

      My exact thought. Nicer dials and a slightly thinner case would be great with the higher grade movement wrapped in steel. I don't like titanium in watches since they make a quality watch feel like plastic, being so light. I actually like a bit of heft on my wrist.

    The watch hit me right away and I had to put an order. it said May 23 on the confirmation e-mail. Blue Titanium bracelet plus the rubber. It looks like a heck of a deal especially considering what IWC just did with their Genta integrated Ingineur release. The Twelve costs $10k less. Quality wise doesn’t look inferior in any way. Will see…

    • @TravellingTechie

      Yeah the IWC is really designed by genta, yet this wannabe is gimmickly quoting genta so people dont bash them as doing a homage, so you do your pick.... As to why its 10k less? its using a SW200 movement, that cost less than 150 bucks.

    • @drnick40
      @drnick40 Год назад +9

      @@chillilover8345 Actually the Titanium CW Twelve has the COSC certified Sellita S300 which is a clone of ETA 2892 and is a very thin and robust movement with 56 hours of power reserve. This movement is better and more accurate than the one IWC has put in the Ingenieur which is a lower grade, not COSC certified ETA 2892 clone made by Valfleurier. This is the irony my friend. IWC are shoving down your throat a potentially inferior watch for 6 times the money. If you know your watches and you are smart, you won’t salivate on that piece which even doesn’t look completely like the original Genta design. Ripoff!

    • @chillilover8345
      @chillilover8345 Год назад

      @@drnick40 Well, I am clearly talking about the S200 version. Even if its the S300 version, its still a Selitta. Also, dont be fooled that just because its COSC its better, it just means its regulated better with different conditions over time. Its like, do you want a well tuned Honda, or do you want an Aston Martin (an example). From a cost perspective, to be COSC that is say another 30-50CHF more, give or take. In terms of a build itself, you have an IWC in house (32111, 120 power reserve not what you claim ETA 2892) and an S300 prob around 200-250 CHF in bulk order. Also, whenever people pay for more, they are paying for brand recognition, IWC poured a lot of marketing for the brand power. IWC actually paid Genta to designed it, and this CW just quoted Genta to get clicks. Massive difference. Good idea to do your research before opening your mouth.

    I had the opportunity to try on this watch at SF Windup yesterday! The CW booth was absolutely mobbed (people were 3 deep). William Brackfield was there, and I got to chat with Jorg Jr. & Mike France at length. Everybody was so nice, and as Jorg Jr. was helping me with all the watches I wanted to try on, he agreed they all look simply too big for my wrist; he didn't do that whole AD salesperson thing "Oh, you could pull off a 40mm watch! It's state of mind!" I really appreciate that. Mike France said the 36mm version of The Twelve should be coming out August 2023.
    I'm glad I got the 36mm Sealander, even though I sent it back for repair a week after I received it. CW will have to really step up their support with the 'Bel Canto Effect" & the launch of The Twelve. Mike France made everything right once I reached out to him, but it shouldn't have to go up to the CEO for rectification.

The Mark XX you showed as an example of a dial blighted by a white date window is actually a great example of a watch that looks much better for it. The Mark XVIII had a black date wheel and it treated a gap-toothed effect at 3, whereas the XX dial looks far more complete at a glance and is a big improvement.

    Titanium grade 5 is harder than stainless steel and it can be polished. Rolex used it for the new Yachtmaster. Tudor normally uses grade 2, but for some parts (like the buckle on the Pelagos FXD Alinghi) it's grade 5.

    Thank you for the interesting details! I really like the twelve and feel most attracted to the light blue one, I just am not sure if the readability is good enough. I have at least one watch where bad readability has ruined the watch for me. Did you get to see some of the other models? I don't want to buy another one with a darker blue dial since I already own some and want something different.

    Lovely watch and amazingly thorough review as always. I have been pondering a Christopher ward. The only issue and I mean the only issue is the logo. It just feels incomplete to me. I preferred it with the actual writing, that wasn’t great either. Such a shame but the logo has really held them back I feel. Not sure your videos need the repeated logo and music cuts. Thanks though. Very enjoyable.

    It's very well executed and not just for the price but they turned the dial up to 12 (pun intended) and I would have preferred the dial to be less obvious. This might have meant they could make the indices smaller too as they wouldn't have to fight so hard to be noticed. Right now I admire it but don't want to own one. And, yes, I have seen them in person.

    I wish they would provide a scratch resistant coating at that price. Now not finished to nearly the same standard, RZE coats their Ti watches and sells them for about 500US.

    The dial design is unnecessary. Simpler and cleaner texture on the dial and also simpler indices would do wonders for the watch,.

I was looking so long for an affordable watch in this Style and almost bought a Straum but there was missing something and I Don't have the money for an IWC Ingenieur or a Baume&M, then i saw this one .. and bought it on a Rubber Strap... no brainer!

    Love the watch but so disappointed in the rubber strap. It looks like it has been an afterthought with no care taken to add some nice texture and a better clasp. Very happy to hear that there will be 36mm variants but not so happy that they are supposed to be in different colours. I think those of us with smaller wrists should have the same dial options to choose from. All 4 colours of the stainless steel variants are lovely.

    I didn’t know the talking hands guy from Watchfinder & Co. had his own channel! And are you sure it’s Grade 2? As this watch case has polished areas, and I thought Grade 2 titanium can’t be finished to a high polish 🤷‍♂️ I really like this new watch too. My only caveat being that the double indices at the 12 o’clock seem to be placed a little too far apart from each other. And it really bothers me!

    Nice watch but rumour has it that Tissot are close to the release of a 36ish mm auto PRX. I can't afford the OG and and I'm not paying £10K or more for one of the expensive copies. The CW might scratch the itch without breaking the bank but a smaller PRX would do it even more affordably. I'll wait and see.
