Think you could do some fun stuff campaign wise by making the entrance door for the marines some kind of blastdoor or something where the most important thing for the marines is that they can't let an alien get out. But they can only shut that door if there is a marine next to it either inside or outside. Now the reason the Marine player may not want to shut it immediately is that once that door shuts they're not getting it back open so any marines inside when it shuts is now do or die, either they complete their objective or the player loses that marine for the campaign. Could also have it so that the 'blast door' takes a certain number of turns (not actions) to open and shut (my thinking is 3 both ways), and once it starts opening it can't start shutting until its finished so the Marine player has to really consider can they hold out for the 'six' turns needed to open and shut that 'Blastdoor' either to evacuate survivors or to throw more marines in if available via some kind of reinforcement.
I got foundry VTT so i can remote play games with mates. The Alien TTRPG has a module for the motion tracker i reckon i could make at atmospheric go of Space hulk using that seeing the blips but not seeing the targets. No where near as good as playing at a real table though.
This is awesome to see someone else doing. Am doing a 15mm scale version of 2nd edition space hulk, and got some cheap soldiers to use as marines and some pendraken miniatures aliens/xenomorphs that are 10mm scale but look alright next to the soldiers. Hardest thing so far has been converting two models to have flamer representation weapons. Need get it playable soon, just working on the scaled down tokens and blips etc for the smaller board
Dude what an awesome idea. Makes me want to try and do this with Doom proxys
Absolutely ! That’s a great idea. Try it out.
