@@fakename503 Amongst the MANY gimmicked wrestlers over the decades, I believe the argument can be made that The Undertaker may very well be the most kayfabe wrestler the business has seen. That is certainly the case in his era to be sure. ‘Taker protected the business in very profound ways…from his actions as the Montreal screw job was playing out (wrapping the hands and ready to put it down) to his spending years acting as the judge in the (in)famous “wrestlers court”, it certainly can’t be said that he didn’t “live the gimmick” and protect the business above all else.
Just listen to how others in the business speak of him. He is spoken of with a level of respect and reverence usually reserved for the most elite of the all-time greats in the business. The way that he carried and conducted himself in, and especially out, of the ring had an incredibly large part in that, by nearly all accounts.
Thanks for the comment, I couldn’t agree more and it made me look at his career from an entirely new perspective…I appreciate that. Be well, my friend.

indeed. He did the same to MachoMan if you think about it. He saw that he was gaining momentum and may eclipse him so Wrestlemania IV and V were conjured up and that stopped MachoMan in his tracks.
Overcame the Warrior by WrestleMania VII
Buried Sid Justice by combining what he learned from the MachoMan and Warrior experience before he (Sid) had time to take off
But Undertaker did not go via the Hogan route like Earthquake, so by the time they faced off (out of nowhere) Undertaker was already immensely popular. I hated brother love and yet I loved the Undertaker (that's how good he was from the moment he started)
Having said all of that, I still believe we all owe it to Hogan for making wrestling what it is today

As in, the mere ACT of taking the bump from that move injured him. Hogan was 40 years old when he fought Undertaker, and hadn't taken any REAL bumps like that in the ring for quite some time. He was getting fragile.
Also of note: *Your neck can be damaged in one of TWO ways from a tombstone piledriver:*
1.) From impact with your head hitting the canvas (didn't happen in Hogan's case).
2.) From neck EXTENSION. Sort of like a hangman's noose. Your shoulders stop but your head and neck keep DROPPING.

Hogan is a very horrible liar. How many times Hogan got busted for lying? 5 times or more. I remembered Hogan lied about auditioning for Metallica rock band. He lied about his old neighborhood that the kids who he used to play with called each other niggers. He denied about telling referee Nick Patrick to do a fast count in his match against Sting. What else?
