After reading through a few comments I’ve come to realize I have made an error in regards to Myrcella going to Dorne if Tyrion isn’t hand. I hereby submit my apology to the council for this grave misdeed.
I have a suggestion: What if Elia Martell, Aegon & Rhaenys Targaryen fled during Roberts Rebellion? what if somehow they got help, or went through a secret passage way (Maegors Tunnel perhaps) to safely made it to Dorne without alerting the Mad King? and also the after math and if Tywin & Robert would pursue further to kill the children or make an enemy with Dorne? and how would Ned & JonArryn handle it? also what would happen when all growned up, Rhaenys & Aegon as late teens, would they and the Dorne fight to get back their Dynasty?
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The Twins do NOT separate the North from the south! That’s a misconception that many people have, but it’s not true. The Twins guard the way between the eastern and western parts of the Riverlands, which is why Robb had to cross them to reach Riverrun (which is in the western Riverlands). But there is nothing stopping travel between the North and the south; the Kingsroad does NOT go through the Twins, and instead reaches from the Wall all the way to King’s Landing without any barriers along the way (well, other than the Neck of course).
10:32 Hey, what about when Tyrion passes through Winterfell while returning from The wall? With the whole Stark family present instead of just Robb, I can definitely see them deciding to keep him hostage
I doubt that would happen. Like I said in the video the main reason Catelyn took Tyrion hostage is because Littlefinger made her think he personally sent the assassin after Bran. Since she never went to King’s Landing Tyrion was never framed. While the Starks would suspect foul play from the Lannisters with no real proof or testimony that Tyrion was involved, I doubt Ned would sanction taking him hostage and just risk conflict with his family.
@@TheEmpyreanSpeaks same, also Tyrion is like the one Lannister who is actually nice, and after seeing the wall even offers Rob to send men north to help man it, so id say (even if the Stark are suspicious and think this could be plot to have Lannister-men near winterfell to attack) i think the trusting Ned would gladly accept this and maybe this even helps out the bad relationship etween the families to be somewhat okay
While Cersi had the dumb plan of firing pots of wildfire at Stannis’s fleet (which would have burned the whole city down) Tywin would have been Hand for the Battle of the Blackwater. And Tywin probably would have come up with a similar strategy as Tyrion (perhaps taking a suggestion from Tyrion).
I think you're forgetting two things. In this AU, by the time the war between Stannis, Renly, and Joffrey kicks off, the Northerners would be dealing with these two major problems, 1.) Preparing for the harsh winter that would be setting in. 2.) Mobilizing to deal with the Wildling army marching on the wall. Between those two, Ned Stark will his hands far too full to worry about the war for succession going on down south. Then there's this vital fact: he wouldn't know who to support. While he trusts Stannis as an honorable man, the latter simply has no proof to back up his claims that Joffrey is a bastard. Plus, claiming that Joffrey is illegitimate is just far too convenient for Stannis.
imo stannis still wins the blackwater without the north. he lost most of his forces to the wildfire, so with that never happening and his army intact he would have breached the gates and gotten to joffrey before the lannisters and tyrells could save them. tho he might then be unable to escape and get killed
Nah the only real reason the lanisters needed the tyrels was because their forces where depleated fighting the north/riverlands, tyrion could still end up hand and or advisor to be able to sugest wildfire. Tywin could also seek tyrell support after renlys death so stannis is even more boned seeing as he lost to a depleated lannister + tyrell force, he would be mega boned against a full strength lannister + tyrell combo
What if Gregor Clegane the mountain wasn't a murderous brute but a honorable man and saved Ella and her children. What if Tyrion killed Cersei instead of Tywin the night he escaped. Part 2 of what if Deamon kept his crown. Part 2 of Meakor Waters. Part 3 of Meagor the bronze dragon. What if both Ned Stark brothers Brandon and Benjen fathered bastards, Brandon before his death at the hands of the mad king, and Benjen while he was lord of winterfell while Ned was off at war, or maybe like jon Benjen falls in with a free folk woman, also it doesn't matter his the kids are boy or girls. What if Balerion the black dread was alive in house of the dragon. What if Meraxes survived the fail conquest of dorn, still have her rider die, because if I remember right Meraxes was the second biggest dragon of the original three so just one shot bringing her down doesn't seem right to me, and I know it was a eye shoot and I wouldn't change that just have her lose her eye and not her life. And finally what if Viserys and Daemon brother Aegon survived child birth and lived how would the story changed if there were three brothers instead of two, would Aegon be like Viserys or Deamon, or maybe would he bring balance between the brothers.
I think for the Song of Ice and Fire my ideas are: What if Robert Baratheon dismissed Jaime from the Kings Guard when he first became king? What if Balon Greyjoy was convinced to ally with the North during the War of Five Kings? For House of Dragons: What if Alicent accidentally killed Rhaenyra in episode 7? What if Viserys forsake his duties and just never remarried?
What if *Part Two* to Robb & Myrcella? What if Gerold Hightower or Varys kill The Mad King while Jamie was at the Tower Of Joy? What if Ned won agents Jaime at the Tower Of Joy? What if Rhaelle Baratheon, the grandmother of Robert, Stannis & Renly was still alive during Robert’s Rebellion? What if Robert Baratheon has a Trueborn daughter by Cersei Lannister? What if the *Cordyceps* from *The Last Of Us* was in Westeros?
It is not the acceptance to be the hand that causes the Stark's trouble. It's Ned's acts during it. Assuming everyone would do the honarable thing, placing trust in people, only taking a small group of Northman who are loyal with him, not immediatly outing Cersei to Rob etc.
But would Hoster Tully actually have allowed Catelyn to marry someone so far beneath her station? Though if he allowed to duel to take place for her hand, believing there was no way Petyr could win, I suppose honor would demand that Lord Hoster would be forced to allow the marriage. Here's another one: What if Brandon "accidentally" killed Petyr Baelish? Baelish is the hidden driver of a lot of the plot in ASOIAF. Consider: He doesn't impregnate Lysa in this universe, so she's not been proven fertile. Therefore, when Hoster is planning his marriage alliances, he may offer Catelyn to Jon Arryn instead of Lysa, on the grounds that the sober-minded Catelyn would be a better match for the older man. Lysa marries Ned Stark instead. And man, that changes a lot!
As others have said already, the Freys are too chicken to oppose an united north under Ned. Also I guarantee Ned will make sure the Veil is siding with Stannis.
You're forgetting that Little Finger is in love with Catlyn. The Starks maybe stuck in the Timeline, but Little Finger certainly isn't, and im sure he would try to stir up trouble between the Starks and Lannisters. He will probably arrange for the Starks to discover that the assassination attempt on Bran was arranged by the Lannisters. This will encourage Catlyn to put the pieces together after finding Cerci's hair in the tower, and Ned would probably ride South to confront Robert.
there is a chance that house tyrell can side with stannis, ned offers a marriage pact between sansa and loras to get the reach. this could easily be the end of the discussion of how does stannis does not win, when renly married margeary he gathered and army of 100,000 and now with north and riverlands combined it's 150,000!!!. this forcees lannister to surrender because they are outnumbered 4:1 or more than that.
If Catelyn could keep her mouth shut, it certainly would've made for a healthier environment for Jon to grow up in; he probably wouldn't have felt compelled to join Night's Watch in the first place
Catelyn keeping quiet is a strong possibility as she then won't have reason to dislike Jon as much as she does, also Jon not joining the nightswatch is a fascinating idea aswell
Though I agree that there would be no wildfire but not because Tyrion didn't find out; it would be because Tywin didn't want to use it. The real questions are : what would Tywin do, where would be Renly and what would he do and whom would the Tyrells support. It's really just about the timing and who would be where at what time. And what Litllefinger does, of course.
I think an interesting thing to consider would be how Stannis as King would deal with Myrcella. If he has the same mindset as Rob did when it came to Daenerys and wanting her eliminated as a possible threat to his throne, that could cause a BIG issues with the Martell’s and Dorne. Perhaps something to consider if there is a part 2 to this video? Also…we need a part 3 of “What if Daemon had a son” already!!!
I could see Sansa still going to King's Landing by her own request (alongside Robert's suggestion). The other difference, just like in every theory, is that any change in when Robert dies means that Barristan Selmy is not in the right place in the right time to save Daenerys from the scorpion.
Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and say this I don’t think Baleon even looks into the direction of the north I mean the only reason he targeted it originally was because Rob was inexperienced and didn’t expect it. Ned on the other hand would have expected it and made plans for it, considering his military mind. Furthermore, as soon as Ned and Stannis align that’s pretty much part two of him getting his ass kicked as soon as those two are done dealing with the Lannister.
I haven't watched the video yet, but there's a part of me that thinks robert would just ignore the situation. He's very good at burying his head in the sand.
I think that you are forgetting something else. Tywins army that he gave to Jamie and his other army he was leading are both quite large and are missing from the defenses of kings landing. That’s an extra 40,000 troops for house Lannister to defend kings landing or use to bring to bear to slow the Lannister alliance. He could bring it to the fight to stop house stark and Tully on the kings road march.
Doubtful, the Tyrells wanted Marg to be Queen, I don't think they'd settle for being married to the heir of a lord paramount. And especially not from the North as they're the most isolated region with little influence at court
I just feel like we're forgetting someone that has the potencial of actually affecting the story a bit, call me a Jon Snow stan, but i think he and Robb would have some kind of snowball effect even tho i cant prove it
What if Aerys and Rhaella's daughter Shaena had lived, giving Rhaegar a sister to marry, preventing his betrothal to Elia Martell? Rhaegar would probably still run off with Lyanna, because prophecy, but Elia wouldn't have been in King's landing to have been murdered by the Mountain on Tywin's orders.
If/When Tywin is appointed Hand of the King, Jaime is released from the KG, married to a woman from the Westerlands, Jeyne Westerling for example, and sent to be the Warden of the West.
His best friend, his once brother in law, his foster brother and his king come thousands of miles away to his home with all his family and court. Ned says no. Yeah right.😂
multiple BIG hole in the idea, first if the war etween the starks and lannisters isnt happening, than tywin has a much bigger army to use against stannis, or in general plot the war very diffrently. in mainline GoT tywin had his army already on the go in the north when the war of 5 kings roke out in the south. this time there is no war in the north before hand. so who knows maybe tywin leaves kingslanding to go north and fend the starks of so the starks never meet stannis and cant combine forces, maybe he lets jamie do that or only kevin. and its unclear how much he throws against the north. against Robb he thought he had a easy opponent but failed hard, against Ned he maybe brings much more forces and plays way safer. (and no one would do the Jamie an rush onto Robb) in addition i dont think the tyrells would choose the lannisters, there is way too much to loose, and in GoT the two combied were pretty big copmared to all the other fractured factions, but Stannis (maybe more Stormlands), the north, the tullys and at this point maybe even dorne , because to hell with the lions, the tyrells wouldnt that decisive (still super important but not as important as in GoT and seeing how they love power, and dont wanna loose anything id say the tyrells go with the Stannis, and after stannis dies, they are the one in power since stannis has kido problems) also if tyrion takes a backseat his whole "who can i trust who cant i trust plot" with marcylla probably never exist, so she never leaves for dorne
What if Rhaegal stayed in the North with Jon instead of flying south with Dany? What if everyone rejected Tyrion's plan of bringing a White Walker to Cersei? What if Aemond died trying to claim Vhaegar? What if the tragedy at summerhall worked and birthed dragons?
@@zardsire2012 I think she'd sleep with Brandon or Ned (whoever she can seduce easily and without anyone noticing) and pass the kid off as her husband's kid. No kidnapping necessary.
She would get married of to robert baratheon, and probably wouldn't be obsessed over the a song of ice and fire profecy since she is a girl and it is a prince not princess spoken off in the profecy.
I do wonder though if the North & Riverland forces would be there, unless Stannis decides to wait for them. WHAT IF.... Myrcella survived being poisoned? Margaery escaped the wild fire? Ramsey wasn't able to kill Rickon? Euron killed Balon before Theon's first return?
Would Myrcella be in Dorne? It was a move by Tyrion when he was hand. If he isn’t hand, that match may not happen. Given Tywin’s history with the Martells, I don’t think he would send her there.
That would definitely be interesting. If the Blacks and Greens don’t stop fighting each other…then the Night King will have a unit of dragons at his desposal; especially if Vhagar, Vermithor and Caraxes are the first to fall to his might and join him.
What if Ned tell Catelyn truth about Jon and at moment when Rodd was proclaim King in North insted Catelyn decided tell truth about Jons parentage to northen lords and North with support of Riverlands push for his claim to throne
Did i miss something or did you entirely miss the existence of Jon Snow who is actually heir to the throne, which Ned knows? Not saying he would try to crown him, but once Robert is dead and with Jon not having taken the black, this becomes an issue, no?
i dont wanna be that person, but ... Tyrion comes back to winterfell after going up to the wall to give bran a saddle design. Though if that makes a huge difference is anyone's guess. lol
Dosen't Tyrion go north to the Wall regardless of Ned becoming Hand or not? It may be a change that could happen through rippels of causality but in it self Tyrions desicion to go to the Wall is not dependent on Ned becoming Hand, at least as far as I know.
@freylocturus7998 Thats why i pointed it out. He intends on going to piss off the edge of the world, and return to king's landing with news of the state of the Night's watch. In this what if when he returns to winterfell he would be dealing with Ned, and Cat dealing with the assassin, and the whole littlefinger trick with Lysa. But they wouldnt have been told by littlefinger that the knife used for the attempt waa Tyrion's. By the time he returns to Winterfell in canon Cat is heading towards King's landing to warn Ned. Robb is kinda hostile towards Tyrion because of it. So my thought process is itd be the one time where all of the Starks would have access to one of the lannisters with this what if. Instead of at the crossing with Cat. I dont think theyd do much though. Cat only acts on things she learns about in King's landing, and because she is trying to be stealthy. She only takes him prisoner when he blows her cover. Ned would be the type thatd need solid proof to really do, or say anything. I could see him maybe asking some questions. Tyrion imo might be the most interesting in this what if. In canon he questions the assassin attempt many times. Returning to Winterfell being the start. We never saw a dynamic between them. I could see Tyrion being more open about it if he meets with Ned over Robb acting hostile like in canon. That might change further if Cat responds as well. I think she would if she is present.
@@GalaxyLimeBridge Yeah good point. Ned wouldn't forget his manners as Rob did, at least in the Book, so the Stark Welcome for Tyrion might be a bit cold and contain questions but they wouldn't be as hostile so that would be very Interesting. Can only agree.
Not gonna lie - Cersei’s plan to kill Robert is genius BECAUSE it’s so deceptively simple. It’s the perfect crime because the victim does it to himself. If he dies of a burst belly, or a cough, or a suppurating boil, or shiv’d by a brothel madam - the rumours will go out: “Cersei Lannister was behind it!” But “fuck’s sake, Robert got drunk and lost a fight with a fucking pig!!!” is both deadly, realistic, witnessed by fifty people as an Act of God, all while the mastermind is knitting with her hens, tucked away in Maegor’s. Doesn’t even matter the animal. All she needs is one infected cut and in a world before antibiotics, even drinking from the wrong river could have taken him out 😂

And Bran doesn’t wake up. At least not immediately. Bran woke up because of the sacrifice with the wolves. That’s how the magic works in Westeros.
What if the mad king died at Duskendale???
In this timeline, could Robb have been offered to Margaery to unite the Tyrell’s with the north and Stannis?
Doubtful, the Tyrells wanted Marg to be Queen, I don't think they'd settle for being married to the heir of a lord paramount. And especially not from the North as they're the most isolated region with little influence at court
It was tyrions idea to send Marcella to Dorn does that still happen if he is never hand
Stannis already knew.
What happens to Jon Snow does he still joins The Nights Watch?
Would Myrcella be in Dorne if Tyrion wasn't Hand though?
Maybe. I could see Tywin using her to get Dorne on his side.
Joffery would have been left to ward at winterfell if he was still betrothed to Sansa. It would have changed his personality entirely
(and no one would do the Jamie an rush onto Robb)
in addition i dont think the tyrells would choose the lannisters, there is way too much to loose, and in GoT the two combied were pretty big copmared to all the other fractured factions, but Stannis (maybe more Stormlands), the north, the tullys and at this point maybe even dorne , because to hell with the lions, the tyrells wouldnt that decisive (still super important but not as important as in GoT and seeing how they love power, and dont wanna loose anything id say the tyrells go with the Stannis, and after stannis dies, they are the one in power since stannis has kido problems)
also if tyrion takes a backseat his whole "who can i trust who cant i trust plot" with marcylla probably never exist, so she never leaves for dorne
If Ned said no Robert would’ve made Stannis his hand
But Catelyn AND Luwin made sure that Ned will accept Robert's proposal.
@TheEmpyreanSpeaks
What if the last dragon survived?
Please do What if Prince Rhaegar was born a girl
So would Rhaegar kidnap Brandon Stark or would she still kidnap Lyanna
What if Theon withdrew from Winterfell and went back to Pike instead of Ramsay making him prisoner.
I don't think Renly would declare himself king if Ned is alive and supports Stannis
Would Myrcella be in Dorne? It was a move by Tyrion when he was hand. If he isn’t hand, that match may not happen. Given Tywin’s history with the Martells, I don’t think he would send her there.
What if Quicksilver didn't die and survived until the time of the dance ? #whatif
what if Bran used his parkour to bounce from the wall as he fell and land safely when Jamie threw him out of the window?
What if the White Walkers attacked at the start of the Dance of Dragons?
That would definitely be interesting. If the Blacks and Greens don’t stop fighting each other…then the Night King will have a unit of dragons at his desposal; especially if Vhagar, Vermithor and Caraxes are the first to fall to his might and join him.
I seriously hate this world, because Jamie is a hero and everybody just took a crap on him because of the stupid oath.
What if Jon knows who he is from the beginning? How would him knowing shape who he is and his potential ambition/life.
in this timeline danny 100% dies, with tywin around there is no way barriston would get dismissed and send to help her by varys
Would Marcela still go to Dourne if Tyrion isn’t the hand of the king? Cause it was his idea to send her there
I don't like when you copy and paste for your videos literally the last five minutes of this are the exact same as another video of yours
What if Robert and cersies first born black haired baby survived ..
i dont wanna be that person, but ...
@@freylocturus7998 robb was really mean lol.
What if Aerys successfully burned down Kings Landing?
what if Renly supported Stannis
What if Robert names Stannis hand
Not gonna lie - Cersei’s plan to kill Robert is genius BECAUSE it’s so deceptively simple. It’s the perfect crime because the victim does it to himself.
If he dies of a burst belly, or a cough, or a suppurating boil, or shiv’d by a brothel madam - the rumours will go out: “Cersei Lannister was behind it!”
But “fuck’s sake, Robert got drunk and lost a fight with a fucking pig!!!” is both deadly, realistic, witnessed by fifty people as an Act of God, all while the mastermind is knitting with her hens, tucked away in Maegor’s.
Doesn’t even matter the animal. All she needs is one infected cut and in a world before antibiotics, even drinking from the wrong river could have taken him out 😂
What if aurthur dayne took Jon snow to raise with viserys and daenerys 😅😅
What if Robert made Tywin his hand after Jon Arryn’s death?
That's basically what this what if turned out to be honestlt
Overall Lannisters will be defeated. But I think Stannis wont kill Tyrion and he became the Lord of Casterly Rock with his uncle Kevan Lannister.
What if Petyr died in the duel with Brandon?
Just say no
What if rhaneyra and Cristin Cole had a child or Alison and Damon have a child
What if Ned did become king?
What if daemon targeryen had a son part 3?
Ned went North?
What if Sansa had stayed married to Tyrion?
Gets an essay instead of a straight theory video 🤦
What if Loras married Sansa?
stannis was better option
What if Rhaenyra fought in the Stepstones alongside Daemon, Corlys and Laenor?
What if aegon ii claimed vermithor.
His best friend, his once brother in law, his foster brother and his king come thousands of miles away to his home with all his family and court. Ned says no. Yeah right.😂
