Hope y’all enjoy the video! Please post any ideas you want to see, or any thoughts about the video in the comments!! :) Gonna be posting 3 times a week for now, soon 4-5.
Here’s a few “What if Joffrey survived?” “What if Jaime left the Kingsguard prior to the War of the Five Kings?” “What if Ned told Jon of his lineage BEFORE Jon left for The Wall?” “What if Renly survived?” “What if Khal Drogo invaded before Dany got her dragons?” “What if Robert refused to marry Cersei?”
Here a suggestion what if Robb had informed Edmure Tully of his overall plan in regards to trapping Tywin's army in the Westerlands. That way Edmure won't decide to take a mill, and screw up Robbs plan.
I’ve seen 3 of your videos so far, and so far each one of your theories are basically “the good guys win” and I love that lol! Let the Starks live and win! You earned a sub good sir
One “what if” I’ve always pondered about is what if Littlefinger didn’t betray Ned Stark in the throne room? And similarly, what if Ned accepted Renly’s offer of a hundred swords to strike while the castle sleeps? Either one would’ve had him avoiding a false treason confession.
Problem is, Littlefinger has wanted Ned dead since they were young because of Kate and his entire character is rooted in that obsession. Him helping Ned would require Ned never having been wed to Kate and there being some profit in that help having been provided or Littlefinger getting Sansa's hand out of it, which Ned would never agree to. Then again, perhaps after seeing Jeoffrey's true character first hand, Ned might prefer Sansa to be with someone who cares for her than the sadist on the throne. Maybe if Littlefinger somehow managed to earn Ned's respect, it might be possible... but I have no idea how Littlefinger would ever pull off that magic trick. He's great at lies, scheming, and taking advantage of chaos but not really at anything Ned would deeply respect.
Happy I found this, great work. Please keep going, I love it. Here's some more ideas especially if you're looking for different eras of ASOIAF. What if Daemon Targaryen and Rhea Royce had a child What if Aemond never claimed a dragon What If Cersei's oldest son was actually Roberts What if Jon didn't join the nights watch What if Rhaegar won What if Ned got to kings landing earlier during the rebellion (Targ kids live)
Just discovered this channel, my friend & i have been talking about theories like this for years! Glad to see someone is doing a channel about it! Keep up the good work brother!
Upon his escape neds bannerman still decide they want their kingdom back. Ned offers to support stannis with the agreement the borth is independent, stannis refuses. Renley agrees to those terms and his army combined with the north crush stannis. The reminder of the houses loyal to stannis pledge to renley. With ned back he his made king in the north. To further cement their pack, Ned agrees to marry sansa to loris if she is rescued. Rob is made master of laws in renleys court. Their combined forces surround kings landing. Tyrion helps sansa escape and bargins for his life and the life of tommen and his sister. The people begin to starve and Kings landing falls....thoughts?
@@858dave2 interesting, I don’t see Ned ever wanting to accept being king of the north though and I don’t think Nedd would ever back renly when stannis is the rightful heir , but sounds like a cool story for sure !
Wonderful What If video! I don't see too many on GOT anymore, or at least any as well thought out or acted as yours (came over from the Darth Theorist channel, btw. Longtime fan.) An idea I've always wanted to see is What If Sansa left King's Landing with The Hound when he asked her to during the Battle of Blackwater. Their intriguing relationship, plus the chances of the Stark sisters reuniting early and going on adventures together as Sansa matures and grows more worldly (hopefully without the indignity and pain Baelish and the Boltons inflict on her), there are so many possibilities...
@Khetsisal33 I always love those too! I've never seen one where Rhaegar still loses, but Ned still dies at the tower of Joy. So it's like a win and a loss at the same time!
This has to be the most interesting budding youtube channel I've ever come across. I'm very excited to see where this goes. Much love, i'm going to spread word of this channel as much as I can
Would the Ironborn hold Winterfell? They only took it because of Theon. And i highly doubt that Ned would approve of sending Theon to Pyke. He wouldn't trust the Greyjoys in the first place
Don't you think Stannis would still use Melisandre's blood magic to kill Renly before any battle like he originally does? It would work, but also engage on more conflicts on how Ned sees the relation of Stannis with the Lord of Light and Melisandre
What if Jon married Myrcella Baratheon? It would have been interesting I think, I mean after being King in the North...this mean that this is also a kinda of What if Myrcella survived and married Jon. What if Jon replaced the Night King? Inspired in two fanfics that I have seen before.
Hmmm, if she never got her dragons is pretty crazy, but doesn’t that remove the reason she’s so appealing to us? The red wedding one is coming out next actually, today or tomorrow 👀
Sansa would not be a cassualty in the sacking of KingsLanding, cuz Stannis broke through the walls, Sansa was already out of the room where all the nobles where. So the hound would have found her in her chambers and left KL before it got officially sacked
I presume this is mostly about the show, too much of the book-only plot is skipped. As such, since this version of The Mannis never burns his daughter and ruins his entire character, I'm all for it. To this day, it boils my blood if I think how those two hacks that wrote the show assassinated Stannis's character! Even if the books follow suit, at least there will be some semi-plausible reason given, instead of what the show did, which pretty much boiled down to Stannis not getting enough sleep and acquiescing to Melissandre's insane PR move. PS: After watching and enjoying all three videos, I'm one of your newest subscribers. I really like the format and I don't mind it having AI voices in the slightest - I actually prefer it.
Seems unlikely to me that if Eddard were allowed to take the black, he'd simply be left to go with the first Night's Watchman that happens to be there. He'd probably be escorted by armed men, loyal to the Lannisters, and in chains.
Huh… a darth theorist second channel, neat. What’s the policy on crossfics for this channel? I know you’ve done a fair few on darth theorist, but ASoIaF/AGoT is a lot lower on the power ladder than star wars kek
maybe in the near future haha we'll have to see! would deff be tough to do a got and star wars crossover unless you gave one of the got characters the ability to use the force
@ i wasn’t suggesting a SW GoT crossover, more just asking about crossovers in general, and the mentioning of the crossfics on darth theorist was more pointing out a precedent than anything else
@ ahhh gotcha gotcha, yeah I think that definitely could be cool if there’s an interest for it. Will have to brain storm some up once I get into doing polls on this channel as well!
I doubt Stannis will allow the Tyrells to remain as the rulers of the Reach there lordship over the Reach had always been in question because they were stewards during Aegons conquest. He will give it to house Florent which is what Robert should have done after the rebellion because Selys is a Florent and he could secure the Reach through Stannis
My only issue is this: If Edric Storm is legitimized, he would be King Robert's trueborn son - making *Edric* the heir to the Iron Throne, not Stannis.
Would they really have just let him walk off like that? Just walk away with the Watch after everything that went into the whole plot? Honestly that to me seems to be the least believable part of this scenario. Awesome idea though.

Joffrey would never allow himself to be interrupted in front of the mob. He'd boldly reject the offer of mercy and have Ned executed all the same.
thats why this is a what if, the whole point hinges on the fact that he doesnt execute nedd and allows for mercy like tywin and cersei planned :)

you should do a part 2 to this, a "what if" stannis was king and how he would deal with danaerys/faegon and the white walkers.

Ned should have kept his mouth shut, bent the knee to Joffrey, then returned to the North to raise his banners and declared for Stannis.

How does a northman army walk uncontested through the stormlands? those 20.000 knights would attack them.
What if John Snow made it to Robb after deserting the nights watch following Neds execution?

My only issue is this: If Edric Storm is legitimized, he would be King Robert's trueborn son - making *Edric* the heir to the Iron Throne, not Stannis.
