To make a high-performance supercar on tracks, the work done on the front aerodynamics is essential, the presence of active shutters on the front vents and the reduction of aerodynamic drag and work on air flow will be important, ground support , the aero flat bottom, the track mode which lowers the ride height by 40mm and which stiffens the suspension.

From what Rick Conti was saying the ZR1 will not actually be revealed but the specs will be revealed? We will see

It's 850 hp at least. Mclaren senna is 789. So I think it will blow that away.

Not hating here but 75hp more won’t blow the McLaren away. There is probably an 800lb weight difference! I’m a c8 owner and I want it to be great but….
@@JS-um4vr I just mean horsepower numbers. At that level 75 more is a lot. Think about it this way. The 720s has 75 more HP than the current Z06 and at 100+mph it makes a huge difference.
It’s going to be mid 700hp, below 800.
Problem is gonna be price . Zr1 is gonna be in 300k territory. That's outside working class people

Getting into the 9's will be largely about getting it to hookup and stay hooked up. Which will require driving the front wheels and then some. They can make the power, but can they get it to hookup?
Plenty of z51 c8 with supercharged engines running in the mid 9s.

Twin-Turbo 5.5 FPC with 800 to 850 bhp. Then they will reserve the 1000+ bhp for the top-level ZORA, which will be the same engine with TT as the ZR1, but with a higher-output version of the E-Ray's Hybrid Electric all-wheel drive system. (Note how Bugatti went with a hybrid set up for its new V16 tourbillon, but on a much lower cost lesser scale, but still to be in Hypercar territory. GM has the ability & engineers to build a even a 2000+ hp hyper car with not cost limits it they really want to. Imagine a 1800~2000 bhp hypercar ZORA that can reach 300 mph, its possible if they really want to slap the hypercar manufacterers in their faces, and GM has that ability to do so if they are willing to do so, they can do it & sell that car for 500K or 750K, and stul sell it for less than a 2 million dollar ugly Chiron.

You missed it. Tadge said this is the reveal of the reveal later on for 2026 model year. Whatever it is, the Y chassis platform cars are the best of the best for actual road going performance cars. If we are talking strictly track cars then that McMurty Sperling FAN car is about as hardcore as it gets posting a time 18 seconds or more faster than a AMG one at Hockenheim racetrack.
That's the way I understood it also. July 25 is going to be when they reveal the actual date of the ZR1 reveal when will be able to actually see it. 👍
Who announces a reveal to announce the reveal date? Call me a skeptic on this theory.
