In this series you can join me at the craft table once a week for a few minutes of art and craft creativity - between ten and twenty minutes usually, depending what we're playing with.
Today I'm playing with one of the backgrounds from the Flipping Stencils episode (link below), building the journal page with stamping and collaging. My own PaperArtsy stamp designs are in the mix (EAB38 Umbellifer Edition), along with plenty of Idea-ology ephemera by Tim Holtz, including one of the wonderful Paper Dolls at the heart of things.
Apart from my own stamp designs, I bought the products used in this video myself.

When you added the paint tiles, I couldn't see your vision. Then you started adding everything else, I had an ah ha moment. It taught me to slow down, let my supplies speak to me, and to go with it. I love your page.
Thank you so much for that, Julie... It was more curiosity than a vision, to be honest. I wasn't sure how it would work out, but as you say I just felt that those little tiles had something to offer, and so I was willing to let it play out. And as it turned out, I loved the end result!
I know, me too! As soon as she laid the paper doll I said “Wow, perfect!” ❤❤

I love everything about this! The composition, color palette! I have wanted for a long time to do a spread with a transfer of a photo of my grandmother in the 1920’s and this will be the inspiration!

Love this! I love a bit of collage and this colour pallet really speaks to me, along with the white space. I also just watched your Watercolour pencil swatching video and feel exactly the same as you about cool colours etc. They are much more my happy place. Thank you ❤❤

I love journals for those times when the mojo is feeling sluggish... if you don't like the results you can just close the journal and not look at it (or rip it out altogether!!). I hope you have fun playing, and that the mojo comes roaring back when you do.

I love your style & images. I'm undecided if the woman is standing or sitting. Maybe it shows better in person which it is. Or is she leaning back against the wall with her ankles crossed? Beautiful composition. I dislike stickers but I love rub-ons & stamps and layering.

These are adorable!!! I can't believe I've been throwing mine away!! Not anymore!! LOL What color pen did you outline them with? Gray or black?
Excellent... something else to hoard! I think you're probably referring to the teabag sachets? Even though the comment has turned up on the journalling page. They're almost certainly outlined in grey... black is pretty rare for me, though it does make an occasional outline or two. But looking at my photos (about to post some up-close details on IG), I'm pretty sure it's grey in this case.

Thank you. It's a fairly cheap white sketchbook which came from a British store called PaperChase which is no longer in business, sadly.
