@@DEFYN K4 without gunpods has godlike performance tho, sure the mk24 +51H will be hard but you can still deal with them. when you use gunpods, its performance decreases to the point that a fight heavily favors the spits & 51H's (altho it doesnt seem like a lot on stats).

Definitely my favorite 109 in the line. It lets me stay aggressive and dogfight instead of running from enemy players and doing ascending spirals. It's like back to the Emil with eXXXtra power and way less compression.

BF109K4 is an awesome aircraft, its more potent with no pods and the 30mm in the nose. Yes you have limited ammo but the fire rate isn't high so pulling the trigger doesn't waste as much as you think. What you lack with out the pods makes up with climb rate and in turns. I play in SB tried all combinations and 30's in the nose is wicked.

nice work DYFN true the griffon are strong at high altitudes but there are much powerful engines than the Griffons like the Ta-152 both of H1 and C3 and P-51's one of the things that i noticed about the griffon spits is it's poor manuverability at speeds once the spit griffon locks up it becomes impossible to make a better turn or even in a sustained turn one of the planes that can outturn the griffons is the Ta-152 H1 and the P-51 H both of the Ta-152 and P-51 can outclass the griffon at any maneuver either energy trapping or BNZ or BNR also early jets can still outrun the griffon at any altitude but the griffon spits are very nice and it sounds incredibly good and i love it's sound and i am gonna get the spit mk-19 very soon thank you DYFN for your hard work that was splendid
Is the g10 better than the k4 because of lower br? Also do you think 51h should be 6.7 and the u4b increased to 6.0? Theyre the easiest planes to play that i have (other than lfmk9 and 2005 perhaps)
51h should be 6.7, the 4B idk. It would probably be fine there yeah. The K-4 is better, if the G-10 gets downtiered a lot it would be overal superiour but idk if that happens a lot.

If Germany had access to 150 octane fuel, I doubt they would have MW-50 systems as widespread as they did. Besides, they also had the GM-1 nitrous oxide engine boost. I know what you mean by that, especially in Battle of Britain. Spitfires and Hurricanes over their homeland, not having to babysit bombers, and with an extensive radar network to guide them to enemy forces. If the situation was reversed and the Brits had to attack Germany with very limited time for combat dictated by fuel, I believe the situation would have been the exact opposite. Besides, Spitfires got their asses handed to them by Fw190s over the channel anyway.
If you're broke on sl try to buy the Japanese corsair and chi nu 2 or but one of them. Cheap and I made 800k with that lineup. Edit: The corsair got nerfed so it needs a lot of skill to play.

You are a true professional in this game ...thou one note (at least on paper): F8F-1B's engine is one of top 3 engines of all the single engine prop fighter planes, can't remember thou it might be even the most powerful of all so I say top 3. The problem is overheating and poor high alt performance. Thou with 3 stage (if i remember correctly) gear supercharger it is a mystery to me why it sux so much on high altitude in the game. Also gun-pods remove a lot of elasticity from K-4 so it might also be a reason why Bearcan was matching you in some cases. Thou you already know that even better then I do probably. Might be a long shot but do you have a video of how to start an air RB match? I know going for the one attacker ground pounding may get you a free kill but cripple you for the rest of the game. I just have trouble letting the match develop a bit before I go in to fight I think.
What are your opinions on the Ta 152 H-1, TA 152 C-3, and the G56 being moved up to 6.0? Also, do you think you could do a video with the spitfire mk. 24? I’m having a lot of trouble trying to play it right now against other props.
If you still have your flaps, just dive straight, you have a higher max speed than the spits, when they pull up, use combat flaps and shoot them down (if you have the energy)
Griffons easily outdive you and compress less, by the time your flaps are down you're in the ground. You can deal with them in a an engagement where you can make them bleed speed or simply have more than them. You want to preferably fight them low as their engines overheat fast and because they are slow down low The Merlin spits are a joke to this one just don't let them get on your ass
@@DEFYN oh yeah i forgot about griffons, true they'll do this, Green Fury made a video about fighting turn fighters in the K4 i think, but if you're fighting Merlins i usually just use the dive and outclimb tactic, it works the best for me, 8/10 would recommend

Well that's why some ace German pilots has to change from 109 to 190 which the Dora has better improved engine and it can outrun and outclimb the griffon spitfire which it's why it's the best 190 in German tree
On the deck yes, high altitude no. And the griffon outclimbs you completely so it can just dive on you and make up for the lack of straight line speed. The mk22 Is as fast as the d12 and d13 and only gets outran by about 10kph by the D9 (on the deck) The mk14 is a bit slower yes, but again at high alt the griffon is a rocket. in terms of climbrate but the speed is roughly the same Dora has the better retention

hmmm...dont really agree about p51h's being something to be concerned about with the k4. Just make sure you fight them at 5.5k's or below i guess. The spits are a bigger headache.
P-51H outperforms the K-4 in *every* important metric. Turn rate, turn radius, speed, climb, MER, flaps (they deploy faster, and they're better overall). The performance gap closes up at 3.5km due to the P-51H's gear switch altitude, but the P-51H still performs slightly better.

why when i use this thing 80% spaded i still get outclimbed by fkn F4Us. I climb at 25°, no gunpods, lowest ammount of fuel. Like wtfk am i supposed to do when corsairs, spitfires and p51s beat me at my specialty.
What the hell are you on ? Where, when who said that it has good energy retnetion ? Shit's only dangerous to you for first 10 seconds of engagement - and that's after diving from space. Sometimes all you need to do in a 109 is literally do a single loop and F8F will be stalling out, it's not even funny.
I don't know about IRL, but in game (which is what matters here), it hemorrhages energy in turns. Maybe you're confusing it with the Ta 152 H? Now that has amazing MER.
I wanna say messer made a video back in the day about the k4 vs f8f. If I remember rightly the f8f outperforms the k4 at all alts until its engine boost runs out. Except for maybe energy retention, I dont remember if he brought it up

P-51D never gona out climb a 109. Never! And K-4 was faster in IRL, I hope we have the same here ingame. The stronger engine one the H, maybe, but that plane was never in WW2.
6:53 this fight perfectly sums up ally players. While you try every maneuver to get the upper hand he like a bot makes simple turn maneuvers holding the "S" key. His plane has been buffed to compensate for the brain dead ally players. You didn't screw up. You got beaten by a player who just holded one key. The game screwed you.
@@DEFYN You misunderstood. What i am saying is that you shouldn't have to try this and that to gain the upper hand when players like these wankers can just hold a key to beat you. You are a far better player than me or them and yet you lost that engagement with the F8F. That is the problem with ally planes. They are better at almost everything and yet the players do stupid maneuvers or don't do anything at all learning nothing, their plane compensates that. No matter what side you are the game shouldn't cater to players like that. The Spitfire is insane if you know what to do. If you are above a BF109 or FW190 he is dead. Can't do much but dive, eventually he won't have any room to dive and dies. The problem is that ally players lack patience and discipline. I am playing a IL2 and and spitfires decide to head on me for some reason. They died. Same with you. They have altitude advantage but go downwards for a head on towards you. Why? 50.cals are buffed beyond belief. If what a guy told me is true, 50.cals never ever tore the wings of a plane and they either did low dmg or took down planes with starting fires. Yesterday my two 50.cals tore a wing of a plane with few bullets. How does that happen? How does my BF109 weapons can't destroy a pillbox but 50.cal bullets shred them? What i am saying is that you deserved that victory and most ally planes need a good nerf (not counting the P-51) to force them to learn how to better play. They don't climb, they head on FW190s, they make the worst decisions. Played my Yak-3 vs 2 spitfires. I won because they though that turn spamming me will surely win them the game.

I like the K4 and have the most games on it but my favorite it probably the G10, the lower BR really helps and it's not much worse

Bf109k I flew in cheap 87 pump gas while the spitfire and p51 needed America 150 octanes to survive. Winner goes to bf109 and water methane injection.
Water+Methanol, not methane. And that only was used as a compensator for the worse fuel, to allow higher manifold pressure.

All 109s ran 87 and allies 100 since end of bob but k4 in this video ran 100 octane+ c3 fuel

why when i use this thing 80% spaded i still get outclimbed by fkn F4Us. I climb at 25°, no gunpods, lowest ammount of fuel. Like wtfk am i supposed to do when corsairs, spitfires and p51s beat me at my specialty.
Climb with IAS speed not angle, try 230 kph
270kph is a very popular speed to climb in k4 (ias)

Sometimes all you need to do in a 109 is literally do a single loop and F8F will be stalling out, it's not even funny.
I don't know about IRL, but in game (which is what matters here), it hemorrhages energy in turns.

I wanna say messer made a video back in the day about the k4 vs f8f. If I remember rightly the f8f outperforms the k4 at all alts until its engine boost runs out. Except for maybe energy retention, I dont remember if he brought it up

6:53 this fight perfectly sums up ally players. While you try every maneuver to get the upper hand he like a bot makes simple turn maneuvers holding the "S" key. His plane has been buffed to compensate for the brain dead ally players. You didn't screw up. You got beaten by a player who just holded one key. The game screwed you.
I could've killed him if I did another move, so I did screw up.
@@DEFYN You misunderstood. What i am saying is that you shouldn't have to try this and that to gain the upper hand when players like these wankers can just hold a key to beat you. You are a far better player than me or them and yet you lost that engagement with the F8F. That is the problem with ally planes. They are better at almost everything and yet the players do stupid maneuvers or don't do anything at all learning nothing, their plane compensates that. No matter what side you are the game shouldn't cater to players like that.
The Spitfire is insane if you know what to do. If you are above a BF109 or FW190 he is dead. Can't do much but dive, eventually he won't have any room to dive and dies. The problem is that ally players lack patience and discipline.
I am playing a IL2 and and spitfires decide to head on me for some reason. They died.
Same with you. They have altitude advantage but go downwards for a head on towards you. Why?
50.cals are buffed beyond belief. If what a guy told me is true, 50.cals never ever tore the wings of a plane and they either did low dmg or took down planes with starting fires. Yesterday my two 50.cals tore a wing of a plane with few bullets. How does that happen? How does my BF109 weapons can't destroy a pillbox but 50.cal bullets shred them?
What i am saying is that you deserved that victory and most ally planes need a good nerf (not counting the P-51) to force them to learn how to better play. They don't climb, they head on FW190s, they make the worst decisions.
