SONORA: LAND OF THE GRAY GHOST

For hunters wishing to hunt some of the biggest Coues whitetail bucks it's hard to overlook the Mexican state of Sonora. Wild and mostly empty save for rugged ranch hands who often live lone tending their herds in the vastness of these mountains, Sonora is the place for epic adventures. Early in 2023, Brad Brooks, Kurtis Brooks and Josh Kirchner headed south for some warmth and exciting Coues hunting just over the border. In this episode, follow along as Brad attempts to get in close on several large bucks.

Man, hunting in grizzly country seems a hell of a lot safer to me than an American in the middle of nowhere in Mexico -alone too! That red truck sticks out like a sore thumb too. 😂😂😂 To each their own. Still love Argali stuff and videos. Great work and happy belated, Brad!

That first buck is a 4x6 by Coues deer standards. Atleast in AZ we don’t count Eye guards when we count points. That buck is freaking crazy nice!!

Great buck Brad. I got to do this for the first time in AZ 2022. My buck came out in Argali game bags. Awesome, lightweight, tough!

Yep those Argali game bags are something else ah....I shot a red deer in the NZ alpine environment a few days ago (its hot over here now, summer is here) Boned out the animal and stashed the meat in Argali bags under a shady mountain flax bush for the day. Blow flys were out in force but no trouble at all. Just brushed the eggs off the nicely chilled bags. Impossible to harvest meat at this time of year without quality meat bags. I just brought some for my old man. Significant upgrade from his pillow cases 😎
