very unfortunately, i had already seen all of these because i spend way too much time goofing around by zooming in and out on the loadout menu.
The pistol robot scout is not just stopping, he is concentrating.
Anyone who's been under fire from a Scout bot's pistol can attest, this focus gives them perfect accuracy.
@@MoustachioFurioso83 i made squads of 2 pistol scouts and 1 extended buff soldier when i was experimenting with writing .pop files and i was amazed at how much i had to nerf them, scout bots using pistols are truly terrifying

they're only made less good by them being rapid-fire and having random spread

wouldn't it make more sense if this issue was the result of doing the scout first if anything, like say they later found out a better way of doing this and never got back to revising him, or thought "oh yeah we forgot to do this, well we'll get back to him later" but ultimately forgot about it
(to be clear, i have no idea what order they did the backpack animations to)
Of all the bugs in this game, this is almost certainly the most minor. I can almost guarantee 90% of the TF2-nity didn't know this was even a thing.

It’s so subtle and minor that everyone just ignored it
even if you notice it you forget about it in 2 seconds
10% here. What has kept TF2 going for all this years fundamentally happened because the developers realized how important art style was to hide the limitations and aging of the game. And someone into SFM etc and modeling really notice this minor things. Yea game balance etc is far worse and gameplay bugs. Still this small details are the things that still reminds you that the game is 15 years old. That and some of the textures being low res. Most of this 'minor' problems the community can solve in a week. A WEEK.
I do not even think the TF2 plant is with us anymore. I mean we can not be to mad with the janitor if Valve care SO LITTLE about TF2. Now can we. Poor little dev plant. Survived work from home just for the janitor to be fired after all.
I'd argue that BLU scouts having the wrong pants color is even subtler
2:07 being still seems more robotic than breathing though.... so spaghetti it returns to being good again
it'd be cooler if it did the idle jiggle / vibration that its engine / motor thing causes
Ironically enough most of the robots with their secondarios actually have custom idle poses such as the Sniper with his SMG and the Spy with his sapper.

I know a lot of the realistic movement of your arms in boneworks/bonelab is due to IK bieng setup. Feels like black magic when your ingame
Working with it is great but setting it up makes you want to die
@@berzerkvideos655I don’t know how you can even make anything without ik, like even just crouching down requires you to manually line the feet back up where they should be, and even then the animation transition still moves it anyway

I'm just hoping one day the janitor and potted plant manage to fix cosmetics not using the same lighting origin as the playermodel and beard/face cosmetics being broken whenever a class makes any facial expressions.

Yep, knew about the MvM thing for years now! There's a mod out there from like 2017 which fills in any missing animations from this copy-paste job on new animations, so everything barring the newest taunts still look 'correct' when the robots perform them as opposed to a blank animation.
First blu scout has the wrong pants unlike every other class, then he has these little animation issues, then consider that the unfinished civilian class used the scout's model, I think there's a case to be made that scout was the first class designed in TF2
the wrong pants are not good evidence of that though, remember that Scout's current textures are not the ones that where made back when they were making the base game, and Scout's current textures are the ones with the wrong pants problem.
@@catke590 I think it still could be tbh. The root cause of the pants thing is that Scout is the only class who had both the red and the blue textures in the same photoshop file, instead of being separate files like the rest of the classes. That sounds like exactly the type of thing that could happen if the Scout was created first and other classes came later.

2:10 ive noticed the robot sniper also does this with his sniper rifle.
Took me way too long to realize that "the tags are broken" refers to the actual dog tags he wears around his neck sticking out, as opposed to some internal data "tags" causing him to hold the weapons wrong or something lol.
I noticed it before, but didn't think it was such a big deal.
Here's an annoying bug, if the game loads ur loadout model first it breaks facial flexes on beards, but if you start tf2, have the bristle crisis beard equipped on soldier, select him by pressing 2 on the class selection screen so the game doesn't load his model, the beard flexes will be fixed.

I found a weird bug in-game the other day. We had lost and i was playing as spy disguised as pyro before the round end and an enemy medic started healing me for the duration of the end phase. When the other round started i was hearing an intense crit sound as if i had multiple crit weapons equiped. I dont have footage of this but considering how easy it was im sure you can replicate it... if its replicateable. Have a nice one.

The animation in loadout menu overall has problems. Select the RPS taunt for Heavy and notice how his lips instantly open and close at the same time each time he speaks without moving his lips.

While not specifically a bug, I found that Scout's right foot slightly rotates when shooting a projectile, like the Sandman's baseball or the Wrap Assassin's ornament.
This is merely an animation oversight, right?

Inverse kinematics is also responsible for the spycrab.

its a robot. I'm sure most robots can stay perfectly still if they try. i don't see how that could break one's immersion.

yeah, but if we want to be strictly attached to the cartoony style the designers where trying to put on the robots, they all should have an idle jitter movement as if they had an old engine running inside them.
