    Stone Ocean and Steel Ball Run are examples that certain manga and comic series absolutely deserve the literary fiction label.

    I also love the juxtaposition between part 5's antagonist and part 6
    One evades fate and is the only character in the jojo universe able to do so to my memory. And one strives for all to accept there fate but in doing so goes to fare and condems others to fate

    Stone ocean is my favorite Jojo part, and it was really interesting hearing your analysis of it through the Japanese principles. Also, I never really liked Anasui but this video has got me to think about him more as a character so thank you for that!

    This, all of this is what rollings stones set us up for at the end of part 5
    There it is seen as a mercy but mista rejects that and in doing so warps fate for what could be the better, yes we now lost more but I hope that we gained more too

    This video was amazing. I never thought on Stone Ocean having this deep ideas within rainbows that makes you think you're a snail and florida man believing in gravity. Just shows that there's more of my favorite thing than what I thought there was.
    Thank you so much ❤❤

    Wonderful essay! I have not been able to logically come up with what was wrong with Dio and Pucci's plan other than the sacrifice of the entire universe before, though I thought that a world where everyone knows their faith would feel devastating to live in. Now I'm finally presented with a counterargument to their plan, thank you for that! I hope I'll read The Woman in the Dunes and rewatch Stone Ocean one day to make it all finally come together in my head

      Great video! Fully agree with your reading of stone ocean (and definitely fucking understand how annoying it is for male Jojo fans to try to explain this series to women lol.) My only critique is that the volume of your voice is a little quiet!

      @@RemOrRemi ahh thank you so much for watching!! i tried lowering the volume of my voice a bit because in my editing program it was in the red and super loud 😭need to find the perfect balance

      @RemOrRemi 5 месяцев назад

      @@denpa_chan Did you put a compressor and limiter on the audio? If not that would help with the peaking and let you push your voice higher in volume without it peaking into the positive db range, also using an eq to flatten out the frequency range by boosting the high mids and highs would help as well as making your voice mix sound more professional. : )

    Weather as a father figure? If we see him so short time how can he be a father figure for Jolyne? I can understand maybe their relationship was developed more offscreen but onscreen isn't more than a friend, he helped her on Jumpin Jack Flash and Savage Garden arc, we don't see him after the prison break and the next time Jolyne sees him he's dead...

    • @denpa_chan
      @denpa_chan  5 месяцев назад

      i read them to be like father and daughter because jotaro's absence was negated by the presence of another older man-- he was the same age as jotaro and gave her the guidance that jotaro never did (not counting manhattan transfer), i.e. supporting her in fights and being the first man to sacrifice himself by dying for jolyne, which is what makes heavy weather such a poignant arc! at the end of the arc, when anasui says jolyne saved both him and weather report, its like a reciprocal kind of healing-- anasui felt dead because he was betrayed and felt like he was born wrong, while weather report was coping with familial trauma (in several ways), and the fact that jolyne saved them while they helped heal her trauma caused by men is what made this stick out to me. in the manga, i think the familial themes are stressed a lot more. weather report sacrifices himself to push jolyne forward, and jolyne sacrifices herself to push emporio forward. each member of the group fills a void for the other (jolyne and hermes are like sisters to me, so jolyne fills the void of gloria, emporios mother is obv dead so jolyne is the big sister who takes on a maternal role, ff wants to experience humanity so hermes and jolyne treat them as such etc) so it makes the most sense to me to interpret wes as the patriarch of the group since he is the eldest and provided guidance not only to anasui (calming him down) and emporio (acted as a guardian until jolyne arrived) but to jolyne :3 thank you so much for watching!!
