It was never about Sick Puppies for me. It was always about Shim. His lyrics, his vocals, and his emotion. Those things got me through some of the toughest times in my life, and continue to everyday. I'm glad to see him carrying on, being a badass as always.

Me too! Even now his new music is helping me get through the death of my father. Don't wake me up is a hard one for me to get through. SO much emotion in that one. He is amazing. I got to do the vip Friday with him and he is the nicest guy you would ever meet. I got a chance to tell him thank you for his music and tell him how much it helps me. He took time to talk to me and it was amazing.

Oct. 21 2009. I had tickets to see shinedown, one of my favorite bands at the house of blues in orlando. One of the bands opening addelits way i liked and was a fan of their single sick. The other opening band curiously i had never heard of. Even though your going down was making some noise i didnt know it was sick puppies. I live in tampa so its an hour ride. My friend says have u seen puppies live. Im like i dont know shit about them. Im going for shinedown. He got this grin like he knew where secret treasure was hidden. Im like what? Put it on youtube and play some songs. He was like no way. Wait. Just fucking wait. It will make it all the better. After addelitas way he just couldnt stop laughing. Like wait till u see this fucking band. They have hands down the best front in all of mysic. Scott weiland, the roach guy, adam from 3dg. They dont have shit on shim. Then hes telling me they have this chick bass player who literally will fucking rock your nuts off. Huh? Cmon. They come out. Jaw drop. Shim had the audience on a fucking string. The first time i heard riptide. Omg. That last break before the final chours where they are just fucking melting the stage. Never has one performance made me a fan for life. Especially not a 1st time seeing them. I knew every shinedown song backwards and forwards. Brent is one of my favs but the thing i remember is that fan blowing emmas hair, and my man shimone moore doing his thing. Great song. I wish you all the luck in the world. Peace.
