I've met Shim two times after a concert and spoke to him for long occasions. He was Sick Puppies, I knew from the start that he was the brain with the passion. No hate for the other two, but one time after the show they just bounced and Shim sat there all alone. No one but me came up to him and we had a talk. It was a forebode of things to come.
I love this dude so much. I've met him twice and he might be the most grounded frontman on Earth. Sick Puppies are much more unique than they are given credit for. Too heavy to be Pop Punk, too soft to be Post Grunge, too optimistic to be Emo and too dark to be pop. If you look at them on a surface level you may dismiss them but once you play their albums, you discover a whole world in this little discography. SHIM's solo work is top notch.
"I can't play for shit but I know where to put the pick" lol

You gotta love Shim. He's not the greatest guitarist, but he's fucking Shim. He gets through on sheer guts and attitude.
The shred with whammy 😂😂 Shim you fucking rock bro 🤣
That upward bend is the same note I play when I wanna sound like I'm shredding, lol. I stole it from Remedy by Seether.
Now his solos are alot better on his solo record!!!
If I could tell myself when I was first starting to play guitar I would tell myself to play harder stuff
11:20 Spoonman? ;)
