7:18, Me thinking: ZX SPECTRUM PLEASE CRASH! THIS CAN'T BE POSSIBLE!?!?!?!?!? IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE SPECCY? YOU'RE A SUPER ANEMIC SYSTEM SO YOU CAN'T DO IT!
Yes they are called "homebrew" games basically people that remain passionate to the Spectrum and continue and/or learn to code for it to carry on making games ... I'm "learning" very slowly myself @ 44 years old I wish I had the confidence to do it back in the day but better late than never I shall enjoy the challenge the Spectrum and most 8 bit computers from back in the day are probably the best machines to learn on I wouldn't fancy jumping in the deep end on todays technology
Generally games are and were much better on the Spectrum 128k than the C64 and Amstrad. Although I started off with a Commodore Vic 20 and ended my microcomputer era on the Amiga my greatest memories are with the Spectrum I still use my grey + 2 it works perfectly I purchased a new pair of joystick port adapters and a SCART lead for it in the last 2 years and a refurbished Quickshot 1 joystick.
Was my first computer :) Mum n dad put it down next to me along with a separate cassette deck. I was like wow! what is it ? ^^ Then out came a giant box they got from carboot sale packed top to bottom with tapes/games... Heaven...
Man, imagine what it would have been like if these were released back when the Speccy was in it's prime, people would have been blown away! Especially with Metal Man Reloaded. BTW, what's the first song played? It sounds so familiar, I know I've heard it before somewhere but I cant put my finger on it.
I could never understand that obnoxiously annoying noise (music).. there are not so many games where music was a masterpiece - and surprisingly those games don't even use AY chip (Robin of the wood, Legend of Kage, Mag Max)
Depends if they are running on a 128k Spectrum and are using the AY 3 channel sound chip as opposed to the "beeper" in the 48k machines (also additionally in the 128's) but then again Tim Follin did some amazing things with the beeper such as 5 channel music which really sounds awesome to those of us that appreciate chiptunes
Some homebrew producers still sell games on cassette but I will be investing in an SD card reader device for my old Spectrum I am amazed my games still load off tape they are very durable as far as storage goes time has proven that.
Some amazing games which would have seemed like witchcraft in 1982! And the avoidance of colour clash without having to be monochrome is superb!
The multicolour routine was somehow around but very badly optimized; i seen the text in uridium in example
Incredible..spectrum have a lot of life in the new century...and not only for nostalgic people...for programmers and players in general..
I am expectina a Lot of really NEW cool Spectrum games made, now that the new model has come out and has been shipped to many.
Some incredible programming there, top stuff! And thanks for posting :)
7:00 wtf...what a great effects and graphics for ZX 0_0

Super leuk! Ik herinner mij ook ‘schaapjes tellen’ en een spel wat je ‘zelf’ moest schrijven over de inca’s ?
Metal Man Reloaded 2014 - Cool!
you are the best Denis...hope you will come back with some new game at some point
Clive Sinclair shat his pants while watching this...

The music is awesome!!!!!! ♥♥♥
Agree! I was dancing like the biggest nerd in the world.
i only hate 1 thing on ZXSpectrum: theres no transparent backcolor on sprites :(
well they were only ever meant to use a palette with 2 colours...!
Warning: the first game will cause bosseyedness

excellent
Подскажи, какой эмуль Спектрума умеет писать видео?
Кастла - это космос.
cool video
how did they avoid the color clash?
Multicolor, also look at my games like Old Tower or Gluf from 2019
Are they multi load, 128K ?
Most of it it's a 48k games, other 128k is a single load as i remember
Эххх... уже далекоооо не модерн...
I wonder how ANY of these games actually sound....
JW3HH

I want them in format which I can use on my Sinclair 128K +2...not 40 kilos version but full tape versions.
Download tap files from a site above and use devices like tape adaptors or divMMC,divIDE :)
