Just another ambient sound I came up with. Once again, I am running stereo into a Fender Blues Deville and a Vox AC15. Left the lights on this time so you can see what I'm doing. :)
    Recorded with Sonar 8 Studio
    Primary pedals used:
Keeley Compressor (on all the time)
    Electro Harmonix Micro Pog
    Boss TR-2 Tremolo
    Line 6 DL-4 Delay
    Boss RV-5 Reverb

The boss delay is just digital with repeat time set in the 200-800ms range. The dl4 is set on the analog w/ mod setting. the mix knob is very high, so the delayed sound actually comes out louder than the dry signal. they are both set for long delays with relatively long repeats, although i believe the dl4 is longer on both accounts than the dd5.

yup, i am in love with that setting

14 years later I find myself come back to this song . The first to introduce me to this sound .
Has helped me through the loneliest times . To be able to sleep.
The rings this song has made into my subconscious. I’ll forever come back to it.
Cheers my friend. Wishing you many blessings. And for those who see this. Sleep well. Everything’s gonna be okay. It always is 🙏

    Hello Andy,
I found your music around 3 or 4 years ago, when one of my friends decided to play your Ambient Songs album during our mushroom trip. Ever since, it has swam in the background of my life. From small things such as writing, revision or going to sleep, to some powerful DMT trips, and love-making.
Thank you for giving this sound back to the world from whence it came, you are an angel. x

@AndyOthling This exact video was one of the biggest reasons I got into ambient guitar. I know you are struggling with burnout lately, to be honest who isn't? It seems like the world just wants to swallow up any genuine happiness these days. But underneath the noise is a beautiful melody. As hard as it can be at times just remember that you were created by God for a purpose and a reason. You have a wonderful family, even with its challenges. Thank you for being an amazing person through the years, your music defined a generation of ambient guitar players. Much love and respect forever and always - Andrew Pealock (Held by Nails)

Just thought you'd like to know that ever since I found your videos roughly 5 years ago I've been listening to you ever since, i kid you not I have terrible sleep issues and I have to listen to calm music to help me drift away, and the playlist I made for this starts with ambient song 2 and ambient song 3 I have listened to these tracks (near as dam it) every single night for 5 years. I'll let you do the math man. Thank you. One day I wish to be able to do what you do. I'm a producer via software for EG ableton, FL Studio etc. It would be absolutely amazing if I could create this sound via a computer DAW. Once again though, thank you!

funny to see a post below this one saying about 5 years ago also. but I'd have to say the same thing I've found your music about 6+ years ago when I was such a young boy and wow how the years have gone by this music has changed my whole prospective of this kind of music. and this very song was the first song I ever heard but thought id share also how thankful we are for u creating such beautiful music! and how it may not seem like it but your part of history and as years go by I shall always come back and watch and listen to these songs.

hey! thanks for the kind words. the deville is definitely REALLY loud. i usually don't go above 2 or 3 even at full band practice. the deluxe is a great amp as well. i just love the sound of the 4x10 configuration rather than a 1x12 or 2x12. it's all up to your ears though!

I listen to "lowercasenoises" every day. A lot.
This is the 2nd track there and is in my top 3 faves.
I cannot have a favorite from them because I am ridiculously fond of every one of them.Except for #7 which I can never get to stream for some reason...

Great stuff this, reminds me of John Martyns echoplex stuff circa 73-78. Is the reverb fed into the dl4 or after it in series, or maybe in parallel to the amp? also what setting was your dl4 stuff.
Regardless-beautiful sounds you are getting-and nice guitar. 5* out o' mi' pocket .

hi very nice sound man. THinking of picking up a vox amp myself. i cant afford the AC30 at the moment and was thinking of geting the ac15 but didnt know if it was loud enough to practice with a full band unmiced and for shows. is it? another thing i wasnt sure about was it not having an fx loop. Do you run any distortions through it? i curently run everything infront of the amp and dont use the fx loop but thought i might need one later. last question is that the volumepedal jr.?

Hey Andy! So when you record and play these songs stereo, you have two mics going at the same time, one on each amp, right? How does this affect the recording besides two different tones and a "doubling" effect? Anything else it does? I really appreciate how open you are with your set up and approach man. It has been so helpful for me. Thank you.

I've just started messing around with doing some stuff like this, you really sound great. One question, do you have your tremolo before both your delay and reverb? I can't figure out where to place it in my line to get the sound I want..
