    Great video. It both gives us a nice piece of music and shows what's great about playing the guitar this way. After a crazy day at work, I love to come home and just sit and create pieces for myself this same way. When you play with a band, you worry about the egos, schedules, money, etc. Here, you get to be creative with only your own standards guiding your work. It's satisfying, but without the pressure.
    Again, great job man.

    This was sick. I love this kind of guitar work, it really does take someone with a lot of skill and knowledge about his set up to do something like this.

    what pedals are you using for that very first loop? like to get the really low, delayed tone? and there seems to be like a tiny distortion over it, but maybe thats just the camera?

    Nice set up man. You put the loop pedal last in the line right? Do you ever have signal problems, because they have to travel so far?

  • @puppetmetal

    For the Boss RC-2, are you in Auto Mode so when you click on it once and start playing, It Records that one part, then click on it once when you're done playing and do that over and over for all of the other parts so it can Overdub all of your loops?

  • @notROCR
    @notROCR  16 лет назад

    well the chain starts at the white one at the bottom of the screen.
    below that pedal is the light green PH-2 which is a phase shifter.
    all the way at the left above the DD-20 is the DL4 delay by Line6

    i can't even remember how many times i saw this one... you sir, are great! :-) very bucketheadish, very atmospheric... and your pedalboard - nice celection :-) sounds very inspiring (actually I owned some of those pedals - DD20, PH-2 that i still use - and they are very good
    take care

    Could you tell me how don't you get any buzz or unpleasant noises from all the pedals plugged in ? Do you use a Noise Gate or something ? If so does it work well ? Thanks

    @OnestoRemember Those are different approaches. I think it's as valid to become "virtuous" at playing an instrument as knowing your gear and how to use it depending on the style you're playing. The beauty of music is that it combines, tech, ability and feel alltogether.

    Hey Man! Super sweet sound!! I love it and watched this a few times!! love it! Couple things to work on, if i may say, work on your bending, it waqs a lil week, and try to play with a little more "force". It sounded like you were holding back, but awesome phrasing you had there. If i may be so kind to ask, what pedal and what setting did you use to get that opening sound? Its so great! :D God bless

  • @2morrowillcome
    @2morrowillcome 14 лет назад

    Very, very cool stuff. I love slow, chill loops like that. I do a lot of that myself, its a great stress reliever. And as long as you can keep it all under control, i say the more pedals the better especially as you said for writing. My pedal board keeps growing and every time i add a new toy, inspiration strikes and I come up with a whole host of new ideas and sounds. I love gizmos and knobs! :)
    Got any more videos like this?

  • @notROCR

    yea i have, its a good pedal. it also has that nice stepping mode, but i find the ph2 easier to work with. The sound of it is a very "rich" phaser sound. its too bad they discontinued it.

  • @mikecreeth

    @TheZHBolinger Yep. You can do it with your delay pedal too. You just have to put the overdrive before the delay/ looper. Play the clean rhythm part first, and then hit the overdrive, and solo away. The delay pedal and the looper with operate in exactly the same way in this respect.

    Wow, just found this deep down in my favorites today, yet again. I do love your video, but I have to agree with @schecterfanboy that the loop is at it's best before 2:10. Your bends and lead melody can use a little bit more work (judging by this video which is like 5 years, so you probably have improved). But granted, I do think it's an amazing loop. Loved it from the very beginning!

    You dont know if hes using it like that tho. Regardless of the effects loop there is a loss of signal when u go through 15 pedals chained in any fashion. If you look they are chained. True bypass were exactly? Can you be more specific? This is why they created the GCX.

    HEY tankarlos, I don't think is a tremolo or vibrato, I think is some sort of filter/autowah kinda of thing that is making the pulsating effect. I maybe wrong on this one, but I'm pretty sure.
