    People don’t seem to connect that Dadaupa Gorge, meaning “Big Mountain”, is probably where Pilos Peak stood. Being one of the tallest mountains, it may have been tall enough to touch the Firmament and why there was an entrance to the Spiral Abyss there.
    Many speculate Teyvat is actually upside down (as reinforced by the divine tree in the northern desert of Sumeru). When Scaramouche climbed Pilos Peak in Leonard’s dream, he discovers that the sky (Firmament) is fake.
    The Dragonspine Lore mentions a civilization on the nearby mountain is connected to a kingdom with no god. The few survivors of the Dragonspine Kingdom planned to join the nearby Kingdom.
    So Pilos Peak, Musk Reef/Spiral Abyss, Khaenri’ah, Dadaupa Gorge, Eclipse Tribe, Golden Apple Archipelago are all connected as one unit…

    OH. Lisa's "meager" title of Librarian feels a lot weightier with a context of "the aristocracy kept knowledge to themselves & burned secrets of Mondstadt's history in doing so".
    Lisa is thus a [public] Librarian in the truest sense of the word: someone who preserves and safekeeps what remains of Mondstadt's records, someone who makes access to books & booklearning free to ALL people in Mondsdadt (to the point where Lisa is still providing reading lessons to Collei, who has since returned to Sumeru)...
    Lisa's simple title thusly indicates that further words are unecessary in proofing the value of her role.
    incidentally, i wonder at whether the Thousand Winds Temple was ever intended for worship of Barbatos at all - Istaroth's simultaneous historical presence across every region of Teyvat is evident in ruins & stories but not in the living memory of humans. it seems plausible, to me, that respects paid to Barbatos were a belated facet of the Temple's history. thinking sideways, it's possible that "Barbatos" is/was to Istatoth as "Nahida" is/was to [redacted] or Irminsul.
    this video was delightful theory fodder & tempts me to revisit those Hilichurl Tribes with my Kamera readied...

    • @mimamo
      @mimamo Год назад +1

      @@SiliconOneFour Why didn't you call it something along the lines of most lore heavy?
      The Seven Wonders of the World normally/traditionally refer to wondrous man-made achievements. And if you had to pick seven of those in Mondstadt, the Cathedral would likely even be the very first one to pick.

    • @SiliconOneFour

    So you’re telling me that people built a whole-ass statue, tore it down, and then rebuilt it for a god who, let’s face it, didn’t do a good job protecting his people. But for the god place that had an annual ceremony where the god would visit them NEVER BUILT A STATUE?!

    • @SiliconOneFour
      @SiliconOneFour  Год назад

      I disagree, Venti literally saved the people from Decarabian and being trapped in his city, then in the manga, once again saved them from the oppression of the Lawrence Clan.
      And as for Morax, well, the Raiden Shogun doesn't have a statue either, and she's ruled directly this entire time. It could just be a cultural thing.

    • @jacquelynthompson5346
      @jacquelynthompson5346 Год назад

      @@SiliconOneFour Isn’t there a Raiden statue outside of Tenshukaku? I will say though, that Mondstadt does have a lot of super religious people. I guess my perception comes mostly from the Archon Quest’s themes since Mondstadt’s was more about the abyss and Dvalin as opposed to Barbados’ godhood or impact on the people, unlike in Liyue & Inazuma.

    • @SiliconOneFour
      @SiliconOneFour  Год назад +1

      @@jacquelynthompson5346 The statue outside of Tenshukaku is actually not of Raiden, and although it’s identity is unknown, it is likely Istaroth, the God of Time.
      And yeah that’s understandable, but I just think it boils down to culture, and how the different nations celebrate their gods.
