    No lie, I watched the 1st late model "how to" video many times when i joined iracing. "Turn, Set, Catch" was burnt into my brain. I couldnt drive the cars at all but id play that video and practice until I got decent at it. Eventually realizing the the "catch" was probably the most important part and where a lot of guys lose time and spin tires.

    Hey Tommy, I just got into iRacing and it's been one of my dreams to drive the late models and the winged sprint cars. Thank you for making these videos, driving these cars are hard and your tips are definitely going to help! I appreciate it man! Subbed!

    Truthfully it is and always has been about slip angle. Different surfaces require different slip angles for maximum speed. Even asphalt requires some slip angle for maximum corner speed. The neat part about dirt is that there's more slip angle AND it's constantly changing.

    Who told you that back when people would get sideways just to get sideways? Your whole goal is to stay a straight as possible without losing momentum. It’s been like that since probably the beginning of dirt track racing.

    Hey I do enjoy the videos but two things that you should keep in mind for the sake of your viewers are 1: no need to repeat yourself and 2: stay on topic. There was no reason to get off topic and talk about setups. I’m seriously not wanting to sound like a hater, but I think this is good advice for you to make your videos better. Maybe do an outline of the points you’re trying to get across and sort of stick to it. But seriously, keep up the good work, that was helpful!

    the cars look alot more sideways than they really are because of the body and also, the rear axle seems to actually "twist" when you load the suspension properly. the car is crab-walking but appears to be sideways

      Yep it’s called rear steer, he probably should have mentioned that. The left side wheelbase actually decreases when it loads up.

    Quick question so lately I've been hearing arguments about LR bite an if it's better to have more or less in the car. Some guys argue that 30 to 60 is good some say maxed out is faster. Could you do a video on explaining the basics of it an how to adjust it through the race night?

    What would this fov be on a single monitor and also whats your driver height and shift horizion?

    • @TommyBrandon
      @TommyBrandon  2 года назад +1

      my driver height is at ZERO on the dirt late models, maybe even slightly negative. My shift horizon is 0.8% and my fov is 140 on triple monitors. If you want an accurate fov for a single montior, you need to go here to this link. sampsoid.com/fov-calc/ follow the steps and you'll get the correct fov for a single monitor

    I've been wanting to get back into iracing. I need help with wheel setup and actual setups. I'd pay. You offer anything like that?

    • @l3adl3oyl2ick
      @l3adl3oyl2ick 2 года назад +2

      My advice... take it or leave it. Learn to do your own setup. If you always buy them, you will always need to buy them.

    • @TommyBrandon

      I agree with trucking truth, we offer paid services and setups and training's, but there's a lot of free stuff on this youtube channel and on the school of sim racing free membership site. I'd recommend looking into all my free stuff before you decide to pay for something. This video link will help you with your steering wheel: ruclips.net/video/B4Vz0rT8FEg/видео.html
      Thanks for watching.
