Some tracks I brake, some I don’t, or if a situation calls for it, I’ll brake. Where the brakes really shine, is on a slick track, I’ll lightly drag them in the corner as a traction control device.
Thank you for your time and knowledge. During this Coronavirus lockdown, I discovered iRacing and have fallen in love with it. I grew up a dirt track fan so this is amazing. You make it look so easy. I am struggling on dirt but I take it more time in the seat will help! Great job and if you have more detailed content you will charge for, sign me up!
I am running an open-wheel masterclass right now. If you'd like to check it out, just go follow my "school of sim racing page" and join my "school of sim racing" Private group. Thanks for the comments.
Similar here. Our family ran Late Model my entire life.. I was generally a Fortnite Comp player and Streamer on Mixer platform.. during lockdown found IRacing and in 1 week about to be in the B Class for Dirt Track .. I run Limited Late Model the most but really want to get into the Pro/Super just struggled on controller to handle them.. got my FFB wheel just yesterday and will be grinding on Late Model class putting many hours in to get better and run some series events
Thank you so much for this, really helped me get better lines in limited and is helping me a lot with learning pro late models. Keep up the great content
Literally the only dirt car I bought and wanted to get good at but couldn't even drive the rookie street stock, thanks for the clarity on how to drive dirt like damn I legit had no clue how to get the car through a corner before this video.
I've run one time trial in the limited late model, and I feel like I can drive the higher power cars better. The street stock just feels way too clunky.
Thank you for the video!! Learning all I can and videos like yours are a huge help and greatly appreciated, so know you at least helped out one person! I do have a question, too, if you don't mind. You move your throttle/brake/wheel UI at the begining just by clicking on it. How do you do that? Is it a mod? Or are you using a hot key to edit the UI? I can move my stuff around at all
thanks for the positive feedback, i'm glad this is helping you. as far as moving stuff, while in your cockpit, press: alt+k. this will light up everything, then you can click and drag it where ever you want. then press alt+k again to set it there.
So if I'm understanding you correct the reason I'm getting the occasional right turn at the end of the straight just before I turn in is too much throttle?
I haven’t tried in a year or so but this is the only car on iRacings service that I can’t drive competently. For whatever reason I cannot rotate the car into the corner without looping it. After watching this video I think my problem might have been closing the throttle. It looks like you’re always at least leaving it cracked open.
I still have no idea what the bars are, or what part of the car was on them. I thought you meant wide open throttle, then you said something about being on the bars at half throttle... I'm lost. What bars???
what kind of wheel do you have? i'm having a horrible time trying to set up mine(logitech g29), feels extremely hard to control and im always sliding out.
I have a thrustmaster tmx. which is probably the bottom basement of force feedback wheels. watch this video for getting your wheel setup. ruclips.net/video/b3n3S5_JBok/видео.html
Just a note, I'm interested but about to stop watching by 2 minutes in because you're still stroking your apparently huge ... ... ego ... ... about how much better than VRS you are. Major turn off.

@@stephenblack6844 I'm with you, I stopped driving street stocks the moment I got to a "D" License.
@@TommyBrandon I stopped driving SS ASAP. Focused on late models. I could not drive a SS if my life depended on it, at this time.
Hi mate I’m just getting into dirt racing it’s great fun the video was a big help thanks 🍻
Thank you again...I am going to get the hang of this thanks to you..
glad to hear it

T&I35 Awesome. Thank you so much for all the help! Got a sub out of me!
Pulsee go to the iRacing store and purchase it. I believe it costs USD $14.99. Correct me if I'm wrong, I purchased a long time ago.

Can you do USAC sprint car tutorial
As always thank you
The brake pedal is so hard to teach people who think they are going fast lol. Always going up the inside of em hahaha
I already know how to drive, but this is a great video for new comers!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Awesome tutorial!!
I’m still struggling as I go into a corner my wheel gets real stiff and I can’t carry any speed.
What do you mean by “on the bars”?
I spin out every single time I try this
Keeper coming
Is there a way to fix the sensitivity on the turn back Bc my likes to shoot back of the track
You can try a slower steering ratio. That can be adjusted in the garage in the chassis section at the top.
Good stuff.
I must suck because i keep spinning out

The bars is an expression used to describe when the car is rolled over on the right side of the suspension. Thats when the car handles at its best.
You can also say the car is at attitude
Just found this, is it still relevant with updates?
yeah to a certain extent. the cars are definitely different than they used to be.

How u get to this mood where the ghost car of ur best lap isnt out there
hit the tab button on your keyboard until it goes away. also, uncheck the box that says: "reference car."
hell i suck at road racing too.
Charge money. It’s your time. You’re not a painter, but I am, and charge money for my time.
What’s ur wheel Range and map range
900 or somewhere around that. I just did the calibration inside the sim and use that setting.
i will pay for a class in racing dirt cars and how to set up cuz i suck at dirt
Man, its pronounced LA-NEAR. Laugh at the guys slaughtering these track names.
