I am not a Christian but love this song and Tammy, had the privilege of meeting her twice. She was so generous and kind and had a true and powerful gift just as a loving presence, in addition to her gift for song. I do wish this film had continued further into her one-woman shows around the country in theaters and on all kinds of television shows. She was beloved across many communities. Maybe that is the Christianity that connects with me.

My mom used to sing this to me as a small child when I got stressed out, even after these years mom sings and I join in now. I love how Tammy Faye sings this absolutely beautiful song. Praise God even if you feel he's not there, he is, there's nothing impossible with God. I still think of this song when I'm stressed out.

What I really want people to rem the money donated was given to God (in their hearts and I know they sinned-the lust and greed. No one's prefect.
Just think of it from the donors perspective-and they gave or sacrificed their own personal money to GOD!
I REALLYwanted to have our own church and be ministers of religion as my family are- Salvation Army..

I just watched "Eyes Of Tammy Faye" as well. It's pretty sad about what she had to go through. She never gave up. She was betrayed by disgusting HYPOCRATE ministers like FALLWELL, SWAGGART AND EVEN ROBERTS. THEY REALLY PROVED HOW DISGUSTING THEY ARE. Tammys' ending with cancer was hard to see when it was happening. She never gave up. She really did love JESUS.

I loved her too, but that didn’t blind me to the fact that she was the most spiritually immature and biblically illiterate person on television. Sweet lady outwardly, but certainly a real mess on the inside. She was deeply insecure, and never challenged the sinners she had around her to repent. In fact, she showed a lot of approval for their sin. Why? I believe it’s because she herself was not repentant in the least.

Just watched "The eyes of Tammy Faye". Didn't know what a precious soul she was....a good and loveable soul. In my childhood I always thought what a strange and ridiculous person, knowing nothing about her as I am german. Now I know and I feel so sorry that she had to suffer at the end of her life. But seeing her now in a different angle made me strengthen my faith in God. Bless her good soul

I SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS THE TRUTH ...... years ago, i was about to give up on every thing and a song came on the radio. it was THIS song and THIS singer. i listened to it and my miracle happened straight away. i paid attention to the words. even though i am a lapsed catholic, i still have no problem with the message. the messenger, yes, but not the message.
so, please, all of you ......... hold on for a while. let the miracle sink it.
just imageine, god took the time to get through to MY thick skull.
