I'm a 100% atheist, but absolutely love Tammy Faye. She treated LGBT people with love and respect that few, if no televangelists have ever done. She was a real person.
Of course you love her she was not on the side of the Lord. These are the fake Chrstians who lived for satan and she was exposed.
I'm not atheist but I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community and I totally agree! I'm more spiritual than religious I would say! She was the only person brave enough to do an interview with a man that had AIDS when no one was doing it and especially not Christians and televangelists! She probably saved so many lives that day and brought understanding to an audience that didn't understand it at all! She knew who her audience was that day and she wasn't asking those questions for herself!
When not a single comment is negative or mean spirited you know Tammy was loved. What a Christian should be, I love her ❤️
I love her , and I'm not religious . I just respect her blind faith and her ability to rise above everything , no matter how hopeless .She reminds me of Dolly Parton . A real Steel Magnolia .

I think she’s a perfect example of what a Christian should be - she loves unconditionally & treats everyone equal. If more Christians were like her I might be religious.
I didn't watch her or attend her religion being a Catholic, but I watched the movie The Eyes of Tammy Faye. I came to the conclusion that she was a good Christian and had a good heart. Jesus hung around sinners, and so did she. I have a lot of respect for her. She taught me something, not to judge and just to love people as they are.

I'm Catholic too and I watched PTL all the time as a kid with my VERY Catholic grandmother. It was the first place I ever saw Mother Angelica. Jim and Tammy had Mother on their show before she started EWTN. They loved all Christians, regardless of denomination.

Rob Thompson WASN'T SHE??? She was a precious lady! She said:"I refuse to label people and judge them! That is not my place, it is The Lord's place." There are SEVERAL sources on video where she makes that statement! I don't know of anyone who really knew (or got to know) Tammy Faye that didn't like her..... She had a wonderful, sweet, and kind spirit. Lots of people want to judge her, and hate her b/c of what her husband did..... How is that HER FAULT? How is SHE responsible for what HE did?????
I know that she is in heaven singing and spreading joy and smiles just like she did while she had her time on earth. God rest her precious soul.

An interesting and nice person - she was one of the few Christians to truly not JUDGE people especially since she herself was judged harshly - her message was always a positive one, till the day she died - and she died a long and miserable death from cancer plus endured her share of trials and tribulations while on this earth - she wasn't perfect, no one is-- but I admire the tenacity and endurance she demonstrated while she was here.

Sorry so much for my earlier comment. I just saw the movie about her life. If the perspective is to some degree true, she obviously cared about minority groups and really had a good heart. She fell into life's traps of money and glamor but who is to say what any of us would do under those circumstances. I am terribly sorry if I offended anyone by my earlier flippant comments. I did not even know she was deceased until I saw the movie

When all the preachers were falling she came out clean. No guilty of nothng but loving everyone ( gays and lesbians too ) all God's people. She loved her make up too.

Airlines oversell seats everyday and its ok. Oversell The Grand Hotel at PTL is judged as fraud despite that not one guest was ever turned away. The government prosecutors attacked them for taking salaries when the Ministry went into the red but politicians do that every day regardless that the country is in a financial deficit.
They worked very hard for years for insignificant salaries. The bible says God will bless us if we work hard. She turned all her album profits back to the Ministry, hosted two television shows with millions of viewers, Co-founder of the church, recording artist, A major part of the PTL telivision network and Heritage USA theam that had record setting attendance compared to Disney Land and Word, operated a very effective prison ministry.
And she had a $99,000 a year salary.
I will always speak up and defend her I know good people and this one was a jewel of no other kind.

Because while visiting him in prison Jim told her that when he's released he would rebuild and she said she was unable to go through all that again. So, she filed for divorce.

No matter what happened back then I have to say there was something so sincere and genuine in Tammy's heart, and I saw it mostly when she sang this song. Back in the 80s I was going through some storm's in my life, and one day I connected with their Christian show, and many days I cried when Tammy sang this song. And it actually pulled me up, to believe the words she was saying. I wasn't angry when they brought out something crooked was going on. For one thing I didn't lose a lot of money, I just sent a few dollars, but ANYTIME a ministry help pull me up, I believe in giving something back. Another reason I wasn't angry is because we are all human beings, prone to error, so I'm not throwing stones at nobody, before throwing it at myself. I truly believe Tammy and Jim both had good hearts they just made a mistake, and only God can judge them.✌❤🙏

I absolutely adore this song, and it has been one of my favourites for 30+ years. I have never heard of Tammy Faye, and have watched everything about her I could find over the last 3 days - including the movie "The eyes of Tammy Faye". I have the utmost respect for this woman of God, who lived more openly and honestly than most people I have met in my almost 50 years. She had a childlike faith in and love for God and only lived "to help others find Christ's love and acceptance". I fall short as a Christian, I have so much more to strive for, and need so much more love in my heart. And Tammy Sue (Tammy Faye's daughter who sings this song in the movie): PLEASE, please sing more and release an album! God's anointing is on your voice.

Everything about this song. No only because of Tammy Faye, and her unconditional love for every person from every walk of life, but also the message in the song. This has been a go to many times in my life. The words and promises in those words sometimes are all I need. The message is as true to me as it was the first time I saw her sing this (1985) I love and miss her so much.
I’d trade Jimbo and all of his apocalyptic dinner buckets to get Tammy Faye back for even just five minutes. She truly cared for everyone. We all are tempted by something, but Tammy Faye is one of few Christians I feel truly believed practiced what she preached. As someone who is no longer a Christian and is still recovering from religious trauma, hearing Tammy Faye sing is actually healing (this song in particular).
When I look at those days I get such a warm welcome reminiscing my times watching her program enjoying my GOD very much in my beginnings with GOD how sweet it is. Great Great Lady; the FIRST to Hug AlDS patients back when they were Quarantined, because they didn't know how it was transmitted.
I loved Tammy Faye and her music...and I am Jewish! She seemed to me the only genuine person on the PTL shows. As time went on it was evident she was falling apart bit by bit and that was because of her tragic marriage to Jim. The truth about him and his lifestyle never fully came out; on the one hand I felt it was his business, on the other I could see the toll it was taking on his wife. It was painful for all of us who valued her and her talent to see her obviously in so much pain.
