Will dedicate my jobless life, by burning every autonomous truck I can.
😂
why dont they put all the billions into paying the drivers properly and there maybe wont be a "shortage" of drivers...
Why would they lol? That’s not how to country works
Absolutely right.
There is no shortage of drivers, media created problem so they can push this over priced idiodic solution.
Because that makes too much sence
I'm not a truck driver, but I believe drivers should be making 2-3 times what they are making based on the numbers I hear on this channel. I don't want to be driving anywhere close to a driverless truck weighing 80+ thousand pounds.
Driver shortage is a myth. Someone producing trucking videos should already know this.
I feel bad for the truckstops who will eat all the food if there are no drivers on the road anymore
That's a good point.
These MAGA truckers are not only about to put themselves out of work, but countless related jobs will be destroyed right behind them. Entire towns that rely on trucking could be destroyed.
All those trucks should travel I-40 from CA State line to TX State line. 😂 see if they don’t blow a front steer before getting to Texas 😂
Why they don't start giving people autonomous pay checks along with all this bullshit
Where are all of those people going to find employment once this happens? I don’t see this happening In my lifetime. Remember if people don’t have money, they don’t buy things. Therefore, there is no need to have goods transported.
It will lead to UBI but it’ll be too late
Not a fan of UBI. UBI will make everyone poor/low income 4th class citizens.
It’s funny they said in other videos there’s no driver shortage.
We have had self driving for 200 years it's called a train 🚆
We need autonomous dispatchers, as well as shippers.
Lol, that's a fact Jack.
No
😂😂😂
Autonomous dispatch will be much easier than autonomous driving.
😂👍
Driver shortage yet low rates….
If there were a driver shortage, the market wouldn't be in a rate war . This was put out there to help the driverless truck agenda
First, there is no driver shortage. If that were true then freight rates would reflect that.
It seems insane to me that FMCSA and State DOTs would allow unproven tech onto the roadways. I had to pass a CDL test proving not only could I drive a Class A but that I could also back up and park ext.
Thankfully the industry is so FUBAR that it's actually a great defense. On the other hand, it be funny when no one has drivers to fuck with anymore.
at almost 60 yrs old, I will be retired before this happens. On one side I can see self driving trucks making it cheaper to get products to market, but on the other hand I see many major carriers using them and drivers losing jobs or the mile rate going down.. Then again the software is programmed by humans and we make mistakes, so a whole new legal field will happen.
If you believe these companies will pass on the saving by offering cheaper products, I have a bridge 🌉 I'd like to sell you. if I've learned anything since Ronald Reagan large corporations are about money at any cost, profits at the expense of workers and consumers alike.
No, it will cost more, they'll add in the price of the 300-600k truck. And then have weather shutdowns and our prices for everything will skyrocket.
The trucking industry lobby (if there even is one) had better get their asses in gear! Trucks WILL be autonomous, but what needs to happen is to impress upon the bureaucrats (that shouldn't have the power but do) that trucks need to be handled just like airplanes. There should always be a human at the wheel ready to take control. Airplanes have MUCH easier navigational requirements than do trucks, and they have been able to take off, fly, and land autonomously for years, and yet they have a full crew at all times.
The autonomous would be pointless then. The whole purpose is to remove the driver.
With the amount of bad drivers on us and Canadian roads I'd love to time how quickly the companies that embrace autonomous trucks go bankrupt
Hello ET Transport.
In my research so far, there is a Level breakdown of the autonomy, with Level 5 being where there is No Driver, and Levels 1-4, do require a driver.
A few years ago, the MTO was trying their hand at "Platooning". But Companies failed to comply with what was needed, and the distances between the trucks were a joke. In Europe, they are working with a spacing of 5 to 15 meters, and here in Ontario, they were asking for a 42 to 47-meter separation. Times that by 3.3, and you will understand. With that kind of distance is, and guess who didn't help?
I have since sent a letter to the MTO about the program and Autonomous trucks and their future here in Ontario at this point, and have not received a response. But to be honest, it is only Monday, February 26, 2024, so I still have to give them time to answer.
Now this subject goes a lot deeper than what I have said, and 7 decades before driverless trucks will be on the road... we all know they are here already. I wouldn't give it several decades as I would possibly 7 years to 1 decade.
Drivers shortage, what happens when a company buys trucks and places them in a yard? They call the media and well the media explodes everything right out of proportion.
What would be more helpful is if you created something computer driven regarding the brokers. Let’s replace them. That way the drivers can get paid a proper wage.
What do u know about brokers and how much or how little they make off fat lazy truck 🚚 drivers
@@adambennett2176 I know plenty about brokers. 99% of them are con artists who “leach” off the hard work of others. The drivers deserve 70% of the load $ not them. We are the ones doing all the work. If you would like to come and unload 4000 boxes for me tomorrow you let me know. We’ll see who’s fat and lazy. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t be paid, what I’m saying is there taking an awfully big chunk, unless I’m missing something? Enlighten me
@@wendygriffin3724 I got nothing!!! Cats got my tongue 👅.
They tried self driving trucks on you tube and it fails badly with the crew inside it's a way of getting rid of drivers
The South is becoming more icey and snowy every winter. They might be able to use it for runs between places in Cali, and the South, but it will be a while before they drive on snow.
They would shut down, causing prices to skyrocket.
@@deluxetransport3208 definitely, they can't even drive in hard rain yet. I'm not worried about it. the trick is to get into something specialized.
A machine will always be JUST A MACHINE! PRAISE YAHUAH!
How is there a shortage of drivers when you have a bunch of drivers sitting and waiting for freight so they can work. I am a driver and see it every day.
There is zero truck drivers shortage. Do not lie!
Exactly. Quite the contrary, actually.
Ridiculously low rates on freight. 6 trucks per single shipper load. Truck companies: "we need this gadget to stave off DrIvEr ShOrTaGe!"
The industry isn’t even remotely close to a driver shortage. Stop spreading these lies.
That’s the lie they perpetuate to keep rates as low as possible. There’s actually way too many drivers out here.
@@bmaue3 BIG FACTS 💯👆
Yeah, I think that truck drivers are trying to shoot themselves in the proverbial foot. Talking about boycotting an entire state and AI is absolutely drooling over the idea.🤷
Ronin says there is no driver shortage.
Driver retention!!
This will only work if it is designed to improve on driver assistance, other than that it will creat a chaos
Yeah right they still have to have a driver behind the wheel. Planes and trains are also autonomous.
I trust computers WAY more than I trust DUI, aggravated, tired, unskilled,
angry, bad decision making, depressed people. You will find while driving
among self driving vehicles THEY do not cause trouble in traffic.
Something I can not say about people.
!
Lol what we need is this brocker out of the window 😅 they are the biggest issue
I don’t think this will be sustainable in the long run
After they replace us. The next one is the companies lol
I never gave feedbacks to these autonomous videos cause they will use any comment idea to build these autonomous trucks, let them figure out.
Ronen, you are constantly saying the market is slow, freight rates suck, driver layovers. Stop posting videos saying we need 60,000 drivers. Do you not listen before these get posted??
❤😷
Scary 😨
The transition will occur sooner than the "decades" time frame mentioned. The companies that don't transition to driverless trucks will not be able to compete.
Wow, all this info is incorrect. 90% of the truck accidents are caused by car drivers being stupid. And if human drivers need to complete the delivery, they should charge $150.00 to get in the truck and $50-$100 per mile.
,Hey Ronen! The video of that road test crashing into the barriers pretty much killed it for any investers! Gonna have to be government/democrat/chinese/your current pm/tax payer financed!!!!! Why did you post this?
How will these truck companies survive lololol. It will take 2 how can these companies compete with eachother🤣🤣🤣
I will say human drivers trucks and cars are horrible. Nowadays they all should be off the road.
Greedy CEOs trying to sell this as safe! Not giving a crap how many people could die as a result of one of these pieces of shit malfunctioning!! So sad
