    Alto has a number of important features I didn't mention that the Mackie doesn't have:
    From the App besides treble and bass there is also a mid control for the Bluetooth channel.
    On the back of the Alto there is a physical switch for line/mic, there is a USB charge port, FX volume control,48 volt mic switch, and numerous reverb choices. Features Alto wins Hands Down!

    Positive viewer comment: I bought 4 of the s1 pro speakers and sent them all back the battery was a big fail for music playback and voice I only got 3 hrs max and when I bu a product I expect it to work as stated, I waited to see if something else would come out and the Buskers I bought 2 and the battery life is amazing, the sound is loud and clear and the mixer is far superior as far as features, I am buying 4 more my experience , I am 15 gigs in with these , they are loud and portable 4 hrs and the battery doesn't come off the green

    Thanks for the review. I'm looking for the smallest budget speaker to use at work in a factory. Leaning towards the alto because of size and price. At max volume on Bluetooth is there much clipping or distorted audio.?

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  6 месяцев назад +1

      Perfect for that application! Zero distortion at max but gets very lean, missing bass really starts to show and starts to sound harsh.

      I would like to. Since I have an Everse 8 the specs are very similar and the EV App is far superior! I think only people who need multiple inputs would trade their Everse 8 for the Showbox.

    I purchased one for use at wedding ceremonies. After hearing the strong performance of one, I ordered another one and coupled it with my 18" RCF sub and will use these as my main system going forward. So, I went from using EVOX 12 speakers with an RCF 18" sub to using two Alto Busker speakers with the RCF 18" sub directly from the controller with no Driverack PA2. I may decide to use my portable rack to house the Shure wireless, furman power conditioner and Driverack PA2. I'm so impressed with the Alto. If i need more sound, I'll get two more Altos and call it a day!

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the idea! Everse 8 is louder with a much better App. JBL has a 7 year warranty/EV 2 or 3 years. Both similar sounding high end. Everse has a better low end.

    While I was watching the comparison, I was thinking that the Mackie just had a bigger sound. But then I questioned myself and wondered if I was kind of suffering from a visual placebo effect. Then my wireless headphones died. I continued to watch and I think you verified that the Mackie kind of sounded either bigger or more full. But I definitely agree it was close!

      I guess you can't argue with Physics. Mackie, larger woofer/larger enclosure=better bass.

    Hello! Thank you for your video.
    What would you recommend for a clean sounding classical guitar and a singer?
    I don't want to add any subwoofer. Just carry a portable PA, to play on the street and small wedding occasions.
    Your comparison videos are really good, thank you 🙏

    Great video I am intrigued by the Alto Busker. I finally picked up a Everse 8. I am playing with the app and the eq today. I put the Everse 8 on my Alto TS312S subwoofer and was pretty impressive. I might have to get a Busker and try it next on that subwoofer. LOL I will probably pick up a ev 12" subwoofer also to match up with the Everse. Great video! Im with you about the mackie thump go's they lack in features but sound good. Thank you again can't wait to see how the Busker dose with the Bose Sub1!

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz

      Mackie is louder at 115dB vs 106dB for the Alto. Outdoors when the wind kicks up you will need those extra dB's. Go with the Thump Go.

    Hi, wanna get enlighted, if the Alto would be good for the bass sound of a drum pad? I have a setup for dance or pop music where the bass is kinda bouncy. I hope the bass sound doesn't get crunchy

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  2 месяца назад +1

      NO! Little Alto has zero bass. If you want bass from an electronic drum pad you NEED a small subwoofer. Alto with sub makes a great budget rig! ruclips.net/video/lMkdfXzruRI/видео.html

    I'm considering the Thump. I need it for an outdoor wedding. I think I may need two. I want to keep it simple. Other use may be for an outside 4th of July church event. I want to keep it wireless. How do I include a microphone - wirelessly? I will just use a laptop for the music source.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz

      You will need wireless receivers which get expensive for quality units.

    😊I definitely thought the Alto had a much cleaner sound that in my opinion would work better for accoustic guitar And vocals where as the fuller although more muffled sound of the Mackie might be better for electric guitar leads with some distortion. The Mackie would also be less likely to expose small mistakes whereas the Alto would definitely not be very forgiving as it is very clean and clear through the sound spectrum. Just my opinion

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  3 месяца назад

      I think you are spot on! Alto with a subwoofer is an excellent full range solution, but adding a 40 lbs subwoofer defeats the portability factor and is no longer an all battery rig. ruclips.net/video/JyYHXJIk21w/видео.html

    If you have headphone jack on your phone you can plug in the Mackie the mix out works for the sub unfortunately most newer phones don't have headphone jack I'm using old Samsung S8 plus don't want to go get a new one because of the no headphone jacks lol

    One thing I'd think to emphasize: Mackie says mixer w 2 channel, the Alto really has 3 channels when you count the 3.5mm over in the BT channel. That'd be important to me in some situations. Alto wins.

    Mackie is the obvious winner
    Frequency range
    Frequency response
    Max Db at a wider range of frequencies
    Air displacement
    There are just soo many things that a smaller speaker can’t do

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz

      @@WWeiss-nv5vz with that said I purchased two of these. Haha my Mackie thumpgos are literally the same size as my cp12s so I really wasn’t sure why I purchased them to begin with other than the battery and Bluetooth part.
      Speaking of technology, I like the size of altos but the app is a nightmare. Connecting the speakers, connecting to Bluetooth and linking the speakers together is a nightmare
