I just did an instrumental gig with the Alto Busker where I played my nylon string Godin through one channel and my backing tracks via the Bluetooth channel and it was awesome. The Alesis reverb sounded great on my guitar. I had a percussionist playing right next to me and the Alto was still plenty loud and the quality of sound was awesome. Now I’m used to using all QSC PA gear. I have a Touch mix 8 and four QSC speakers so I’m used to awesome sound and I’m telling you the Alto held its own very well.
By far the best reviews I've seen on these portable speakers. Great job 👏 Between the Ev and the JBL, utilizing just one speaker, an acoustic guitar and a microphone for vocals. Outside busking on city street corner at medium high volume, would the Jbl cut it or would you recommend the Ev for that purpose?
ill make it clean and simple since ive seen them all in person. Mackie if youre on a budget. EV8 if you dont care about price, def the cleanest & loudest. However these are meant for high/mid range, so if you want that "feel" you will need to attach a sub. jbl fell off so badly.
Thump go has a built in feature that works as a noise gate, it completely cuts off the quiet tails of the sound during live performance, do you khow how turn it off? Thank you.
Hi there ! … this video personally helped me and guided me through the varies speakers and their comparisons and the features too…I’ve question to be asked… am using a mixing counsel of Mackie which is mackie profx10v3 mixer so… in your personal opinion which speaker would you opt cuz I might be buying one of the speaker soon I’d like to know your opinion and thoughts on which speaker works best for the Mackie mixer…please do let know it would be really helpful Thanks !
Looking for a bluetooth battery powered and love the jbl partybox 310 specially for the bass. But found the thump go for less $$ but don't really know about the bass. Also, is it louder than the pb 310?
I was able to directly compare JBL 310 and eon one compact, the 310 is louder and has a lot more bass, but it is heavier and bigger and it is not a professional speaker
I had one for 2 weeks.. was not a fan... Had issues with clipping with bass turned all the way down and the input volume down as well so there should have been 0 clipping but it still was showing clipping on the unit.. I returned it and just got 2 Mackie SRM Flex and even tho it's not battery powered... Being able to buy 2 of them for basically around same price as 1 mkii... Sounds way better and also 3x louder it seems
they are not compatible to link via bluetooth that way... typically, we testing we prefer to have a use XLR.. in the field at the street sound coverage, I did XLR runs with a couple of wireless jumps with belt packs to jump the roads.
that's good @@discjockeynews yeah I wouldn't use Bluetooth in that situation but thought you may have used more robust transmitters like you mentioned.
EV seems to win. However, longevity and customer service must be issues, no? I have an EV30 that started crapping out within a year - they never once returned my emails or my calls. I’d be careful of that company.
I would say Yorkville would be better than all these. I had the ev’s I sold them. They were horrible. They distort easily. They’re not loud whatsoever.
Problem is that Yorkville is pretty much US exclusive. Throughout Europe, Asia and beyond Mackie, JBL, EV and even Alto are everywhere. I've never found a Yorkville dealer outside the US or Canada.

Great efforts and very detailed review!

I think a couple of signs with 1234 written on them would have been better, but thanks for the comparison
Hello, thanks for the work!
Which on of these items allows me to plug in an IEM direct to the box and still have sound play through?
Warm regards

Hi, is Mackie Thumb Go good for keyboard ?
I am looking forward for the JBL Eon One Compact mk ii

Bought a mackie.. It's a great box
Did you leapfrog/bounce a single wireless signal to/off all of them?

DC out to me is main selling point for evolve8 complete stand alone wedding ceremony rig
Who's the cheapest of the four?
What about the yorkville
No Bose S1 pro?
No merece estar ahi
How is the sound quality worse on the mackie at low volumes?
Less bass? less detail? less punch?

why theres no bose S1 pro plus
I have to buy the speakers you see in reviews.. and I didn't have the funds to buy one more unit... :(
Ev best and jbl but mackie are wery good
Where I live, the EV cost 2.5x the others. So I don't think it is really a comparison.
