Great new gear mate, there's a real noticeable difference in sound quality - not that the previous ones weren't good either, this is just next level now! 👍
Now all you need to do is update your profile picture. Jokes aside it's so cool to see you getting this, to see you grow bigger and bigger. I've been watching your video's for quite a few months now and every monday i just can't wait for my working morning to end so i can have lunch and watch your video. Keep up the good work man. Wishing you all the best.
Haha!! I hear you - I've been rockin this one for a HOT minute! 🤣 That is honestly so rad to hear - thank you so much for the kind words, I absolutely love that!! 😃🙌
Your importance is growing, more important though is how people are learning what it is like to be a busker. That knowledge is so much more helpful than other busker videos which are titled "the best busker ever". Time to organise a little ARP flash mob kinda thing. I'll bring me fiddlw and mandolin Cheers buddy.
Thank you for this and also… what a RAD idea!! I’ve been thinking for a little while that it could be cool to do a “Brighton Beach Busk Up” or something? 😃 meet, play, share stories etc 🙌🏻🤔
@@patchevansbrokencountry2583 haha! I'm sure we can figure something out - maybe I'll talk to my friend at @brightonbeachbusking and we'll start planning something! 👀
Nice set up! Congrats on the new equipment. Great review, very informative and well done. The guitar looks and sounds awesome. At first it looked to me like a carbon fiber build. I have seen a couple of players using them around the Houston area. My set up is a fender Jr go, sure beta 58 and Taylor. The Samsung looks like it is a bit more rugged than the fender. Plus the 12 hour battery life is insane. I will be looking into getting one. Thanks again. Really enjoying the videos and insight into the daily life.
OMG Sam & Mike are such perfect names!! The entire time I was filming this video I was trying to come up with something and you've nailed it right here!! 😃🙌 thank you as always!!
Congratulations for such a well-deserved acknowledgement ❤ I don’t know the guitar, but I used a Samson radio mic system for years, which I enjoyed very much. It’s good to hear the battery-powered amp meets expectations and fitness for purpose. Maybe subjectively, but I’m pretty certain this video has captured your performing sound more brightly and clearly than usual which must be down to the gear upgrade … and I haven’t even put my hearing aids in yet this morning 😉. I got back from the Wokingham Festival last night (I went down on Saturday specifically to see my grandson’s band play and stayed) and was introduced to some excellent music from that part of the world. While I was there I took a couple of hours out to go into town to play a busking set yesterday. Not much footfall, but lovely interactions and that exchange of energy we’ve discussed!
Thank you Marshlander! They seem to be a reputable brand and I'm honestly stoked they've gotten on board for the ARP journey! 😃 the amp is incredible, a real game changer and certainly a big upgrade - I don't see myself needing another one any time soon, this thing should be able to handle a crowd! 🙌 That's awesome about the festival and good to know about Wokingham, I'll have to take note for if I find myself passing through there! Thank you as always dude! ✌
Hi friend, firstly congratulations on your videos. I would like to know if for a busking that only plays and doesn't sing, if it has the same visibility as someone who sings. and I would also like to know about the licenses.
@@eluan40 Thank you! 😃There's plenty of buskers out there that are singers (without playing an instrument) and they seem to do just fine! Vocals is an instrument too! As for licenses... each local council has a different take but for the most part you don't need a license for many places throughout the UK - best thing to do is look at the council's website for the Busking guidelines 🙌
i came up to you in Littlehampton... great review on the samson... i'm gonna set a busking target of £450 then to purchase one for myself as it sounded great on the streets!
The samson is very similar to the "bose s1 pro". There is a new on out now (S1Pro Plus), so have a look for offers for the "old one". Or maybe a used one. I have bought the S1 pro and it's brilliant!!!
Just need my back sorting and arthritis and I can get back on the road, sounds good. Up to now I been using all Boss gear because I find it reliable. Thanks for the URLs too very useful stuff, best wishes.
Really enjoying your videos and i can see how you have improved over time. One thing you may think about is attach a telescopic pole to your hand truck so the speaker is at head height which would help project the sound it also means the controls are close to you at head height saves you bending down you may have to have a foldable leg stabalizer to make the truck more stable when the speaker is up.. 🎶🎸
That’s a great idea! I’ve seen a few other buskers with raised speakers and it definitely helps with the projection 🙌🏻 thank you for this - great shout 😃
Shopkeeper: "Not that you're *particularly* bad or anything" 😄😄😄 That guitar sounds great through the amp. I've found a lot of the Fishman undersaddle pickups can be very quacky. I wonder if some of the natural sound of your guitar is being captured through the mic from the position of those sound ports, because it's not quacky at all. I'm looking for a new busking amp and will definitely consider this one.
🤣🤣 it’s like the ultimate compliment from a shopkeeper that wants you to move 🙈 That’s interesting - honestly the guitar has a beautiful sound, my other guitar has a fishman too and the biggest difference is the depth that this guitar has - way more low end! 🙌🏻 highly recommend the amp too!
It's such a game changer - I couldn't be more stoked!! Good question, as someone who doesn't play sat down I haven't road tested it but I'd say it looks pretty comfy! 😃🙌
@@AugustRadioProject Yep, it is! Only thing is, I like to chew gum before I play to make sure my mouth is clean, but I can generally do that on my bike ride or bus/train to where I'm going.
Hey hey is this the normal busking Situation? Many people just Walk/Pass by and dont listen. Few people listen sometimes, many people give me great compliments, smile and Donations but then walk their way again. Because im still new to busking, sometimes its still irritating/bit hurtful when people just walk by😅what would be your advice with this Situations?♥️
It is 100% normal... it can seem SO weird at first, especially if you're used to a show where people watch and listen to everything! 🙌 the thing to remember is that even though some people don't acknowledge you, it doesn't mean you haven't had an effect on them - you'll be unknowingly making their day! You get used to it after a while 😃

Buskers technically should pay tax. And here I was happy to get some new strings on my guitar XD

My setup is: Me, trumpet, folding cloth tip box. Of course there are little things like some lip balm and valve oil, but it's a pretty basic setup.
