I think the 6s is a lot better than you give it credit for, it might appear like the 6 on the surface, but it was slightly thicker and built from a stronger grade of aluminum. It also had advancements like the first Taptic Engine, 3D Touch like you mentioned, the fantastic A9 CPU which was leagues better than the A8 and is still useable today, and it introduced the 12MP camera the density of which Apple still uses today

Sure, you get the versatility but phones like the google pixel 4a and iPhone SE 2020 have some of the best cameras around, and they only have 1 camera. If I made a phone, I would only have 2 lenses: wide and ultra wide. That’s it. Simple and still quite nice
