I have thick hands. Not large hands. Just thick and wide. If by chance I can't get my hands in there tight spot, can I remove the fan motor housing to have access to the sensor? When installing the new sensor, does this sensor have to be extremely tight? Or can it just be hand tight and just a little more?
As far as the fan removal I think it was a bit of a chore that’s why we went the route we did. The sensor does not have to be super tight as it has thread sealant on it…..but it does have to be snug so it don’t leak or drip
@@DIYKAI Yup...done some in-depth research on this issue. Either removing the entire Air Intake Manifold body, or, buying (renting), the special attachments to the rachet socket system and remove it...or, I will try some Mexican ingenuity. This is what I am going to try and do. I will remove the connector to the sensor switch. I will then insert the socket (1-1/16th") inch, I will wrap the socket with some sort of rubber that will allow me to get a better grip on the socket...and then give it a strong go, and see if I can remove the sensor switch by hand. I won't take-on this task till Saturday. I have too much crap going on down here. Both of our sons birthdays are the first week of Jan. ...(the 5th and 8th).....I have too much stuff going on. I want to thank you for your input.
@Vertigoneardeath good luck! We used a 88T slim wrench (probably harbor freight) lol. A 3in extension and a oil pressure socket again (harbor freight) it’s tight but definitely can be done with everything still connected
That engine is clean !!! 🙂
Good job. That matco saved the day.
Yes it sure did with the slim design and 88T head anything else would have been a turd lol
@@DIYKAI 😂🤣😂
good vid man, helpful
Thanks glad it helped
what did you use to reach up and disconnect the plug? Such a tight fit
Hands lol it's a very tight fit lol
Could you clarify, do you need a specific pressure sensor remover socket? Or will a regular 1/16th socket work?
A normal chrome one should work
