  • A stored code P2004 in your OBD II equipped vehicle means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected that the intake manifold runner control (IMRC) actuator for engine bank one is stuck in the open position. Bank 1 denotes that the problem has occurred in the bank of the engine that contains the number one cylinder.

P2017 is the diagnostic trouble code for “Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor / Switch Circuit High Bank 1.” Intake manifold control valves and position sensors ( IMRC valve /sensor) assist the powertrain control module (PCM) in calculating the volume of air entering the intake manifold in order to manage the engine’s air-fuel ratio.

Talking about the bracket on the throttle body. I don't think you said something about a black ground wire. I have a 2007 Sebring 2.4. The bolt for my bracket also is the connection for the ground wire to my starter. That black ground wire is really easy to miss removing the bolt. Thank you for your time making this video. These videos help to have an good idea what you're diving into. I'm 51 and before RUclips. 16 and my for set of wheels was a truck. Then I had note book where I draw diagrams of what I was working on. Draw part, where it went, how many bolts with size. It helped long before RUclips came out.

Thanks for this! I replaced the solenoid, but it failed again, so thinking this is the next step. Looking at it, it seemed like I needed to remove the whole valve cover to be able to remove the intake, but apparently not! How's the Amazon part working out, especially with that solenoid?

replaced the manifold, MAF sensor, MCAV already, no more than 200 miles on it. I got these codes. Anything else that could cause this? We cleaned everything up before we put the new one on.

Did you check the pcv hose under the manifold? What codes are you getting? The MAF usually don't affect the manifold.codes

@@DIYKAI just using an acronym, manifold runner control valve, should have used that instead. LOL
