"It was slow in the best way possible" This pretty much describes the entire season! Masterful buildup and pacing throughout, never too fast and never too slow, everything has a purpose and the development for all the characters is really good.
What I loved about Nadeem's character and his place in the story is that he has a role in the story similar to one that has been seen many times before; that of a relatively good guy in some form of law enforcement agency inadvertently playing right into the hands of the antagonist. Usually shows will have that character be a very minor character who is portrayed as being an incompetent idiot, or lazy, or just an arsehole, and their role is essentially to scupper the efforts of the real protagonists (usually a subordinate) without realising that they are being manipulated; the result of this though is that these characters feel unrealistically incompetent and the audience is left feeling that the villain would never have pulled off their plan if anyone vaguely intelligent had been in this characters position. Nadeem in comparison is actually portrayed as driven, intelligent, decent and very good at his job, he is also given far more screen time than this type of character is usually given and we really get a chance to get inside his head and understand why he makes the choices he does. The result is that he is a character we as the audience actually care about rather than be annoyed by and it makes it all the more impressive that Kingpin so easily manipulates him as he is actually competent.
First I saw him, I was like, man... Another sideplot character i need to appareantly care about for some stupid reason, cause he will fill plot later with nothing interesting. But... I forgot this was Daredevil, were talking about. They dont really have those filler episodes (besides Karen - SPOILERS SPOILERS could have been killed this season, they teased it, happened in the comics, really iconic, instead priest takes her place :/ SPOILERS END) And Nadeem was really needed as a side character that does really meaningful things in the plot, basically HE takes fisk out of prison, and his testimony becomes final sentence for fisk demise. Really well written character for me. No filler time in his character.
The Catholicism angle has always added a great extra layer to Daredevil, even more so this season. I'm hyped for you guys to watch this one, it is probably the best thing that Marvel Netflix has put out.
Kyle Braune i like how they didn't make the religious aspect seem preachy, corny, or stereotypical. They make it human, which i think, is the best way to portray religion
@@joeg6478 Everytime I watch him in interviews I keep thinking he's blind for a second. He just portrays it so goddamn well, so my mind thinks he can't see lol.
I gotta say as a man of faith seeing daredevil basically say screw God gave me an indescribable feeling in a good way. I think anyone who believes has gotten a point where they asked why am I a believer and why am I doing this. It made his comeback to being Daredevil and his comeback to his faith all the more satisfying. Tbh watching this helped my faith even more. I always thought it was interesting that the man who is called the devil of hell's kitchen was a catholic😂
Honestly it's very authentic, and I'm glad they kept it real enough without going overboard. Dude is just filled with guilt, he doesn't hate God so much as he hate himself, and they displayed that very well.
@@alexanderthered5603 RIGHT??? I also loved that he basically wanted to give God the middle finger but at the end of the episode he asked him for forgiveness. That really shook me. So I thought oh ok he is ok with God now but he absolutely wasn't and I loved that it took time for him to heal.

I think the excuse of a supposed drop in viewership is to give Netflix and probably Disney the excuse to cancel the shows which disappointed when I heard Luke Cage was cancelled.
That report of viewership by Jumpspot is completely fake. All of the clickbait websites like ScreenRant are reporting it, so it doesn't have credibility. Netflix never releases their raw data of viewership. But they haven't promoted Daredevil S3 heavily at all. So maybe they will cancel it, I really hope they don't. I will be so disappointed if it happens.
As to Matt telling Karen his true identity as Daredevil, that's at the end of Daredevil season 2, and then when they have a conversation where he mentions Frank and tells her everything about his powers, that takes place during the Defenders show. Then, the beginning of episode 1 takes place where the Defenders ended and lapses take place too show a forward progression in time. It isn't that confusing. You just have too pay more attention to what's going on in the episode. Also, Matt is human so people have too stop complaining about how, "slow", the first two episodes are. He has a lost connection with God cause of what happened in Defenders and he is in great suffering physically, mentally and emotionally. He had a building fall on him, after all. He isn't Thor or the Hulk. People just have too short of an attention span and are highly impatient, nowadays. Good things come out of waiting and patience is a virtue.
Honestly my favorite season of any television show ever. So good. And as for what you said about Nadeem's financial situation, well, just remember it for later.

Charlie cox was soooooo good as usual!!!!!! You are in for a ride!
@2:51 Matt relapsing into the *traumatized childhood state* from *S1* at the moment *he first lost his sight* concluded one of the *best opening intro scenes* of any show this year!!! 💀🤯🤯😱😱
I love how you cut out the right ear on a bunch of scenes. But it messed me up because I only had my right ear phone in.
Finally Daredevil!!!! I've been waiting for this!!!
Yes! Really looking forward to seeing this reaction 😁
Awesome guys!! Season 3 is so good.
I've been waiting for you people!
Cant wait till you guys watch full season
I didn't watch any of the trailers except the little VERY first thing they put out for this season. Binged watched the show in a few days (I'M SO SAD I DID THAT BUT IT WAS SO GOOD), and went back to watch some reactions to the main trailer. I'm glad I didn't watch it otherwise I would've put together some things that happen beforehand.
same thought, glad i didn't watch any trailer nor teaser... they do spoil so much
You're going to love this season I know it
Can't wait for you to react to episode 4!!!
All the good shit this season, can't wait till you get there.
FUCK YES.
Please don't take a year to finish this season, because I'm so happy to see you guys finally reacting to it that I don't think I could wait weeks between episodes. Fook the other shows.
This season is amazing
You guys are in for a WILD ride!!!!!
I am from the future and daredevil is in the MCU in a movie call🕷👱🏻♂️
Good Art makes you think and discuss and this episode shows you that there is a some very deep concepts in daredevil. #Goat
It's about time you guys reacted to this series. ☺☺☺☺
I've been waiting for this!!
Calvin's hair looks so gooooood!
when you guys have time, and you haven't seen it yet, you should react to rurouni kenshin (*whispers* the subbed one, not dubs) because it is the most awesome show!
His sinus was impacted with blood and was probably severely infected. He cleaned out his sinus. His abilities should return now as he heals.
yes!!! cannot wait to see ur reactions to this standout season :D
Ok, that's it. For this fantastic season I will get full reactions. Hopefully one of my better poor financial decisions.
While I would have loved to have seen a trailer reaction, I can't wait to see your reactions to things not having seen the trailer.
I see what you did there, with the right side sound, clever!
I fucking love that season 1 suit
How that one post or article i saw said daredevil lost it's followers this season is ridiculous. Also they don't know who's in this season x'D oh this is gonna be a wild ride.
something that i like and you notice threw out the season is that because he is hurt his acrobatic fighting is not as present as it was in season 2. is more emphasis in boxing and other brawling fighting styles. this in my opinion is more grounded and believable
