So glad Eric looked up info confirming that the one shot was a true single take. It's so damn impressive and Charlie Cox did an insane job fighting, switching and keeping up the energy to perform a serious scene of dialogue too. He deserves all the awards.

That one shot took up almost all of the reaction lol. It was truly a technical achievement and my hats off to Charlie Cox and the crew for pulling it off .
Foggy continues to be at his best imo this season
And on DC side we got Flash xD So sad, how good could Flash be if they have a same quality script and director like the Daredevil.
Daredevil is truly my favorite tv show! I really hope Charlie will be in this spider man movie, as Peter lawyer, as in the comics :)

Daredevil is honestly my favorite thing in the MCU easily. Matt is one of the best, if not the best hero. And Wilson Fisk and Bullseye are perfect villains. Not to mention the action and score is perfect! I love this show!

That whole scene deserved an award of some sort like holy shit, that the was the most realistic longest one shot of all time
Comic book adaptations always get shafted. But it’s a glorious scene in out hearts
Props to the cinematographers and choreographers on this episode. Best hallway fight for Daredevil, imo. If they get a season 4, I've no idea how they can top it, or even if they should attempt to top it. #SinceThePhone
Maybe if the story brought Punisher or someone back in the fold, they could team up for a tandem one-shot.

I wanna see full on bullseye and they could bring over the Typhoid Mary character from iron fist since that show is already cancelled and she is mainly known for being a daredevil villain anyways

This was phenomenal. I think you guys would REALLY appreciate the cinematography in Mr Robot, it's also super friendly for theorycrafting and post-episode discussion. Only 3 seasons so far and the 4th (and final) season is scheduled for next year. Just saying ;)
And in season 3 they have a entire episode one shot (with some hidden cuts tho) but still amazing, i think especially eric would love Mr robot for the camera work of the series alone.

Been wanting to get into that. How would you describe the show?
@@boomidctv6017 It's a tense political thriller/drama series with Rami Malek and Christian Slater as the leads. The show has garnered a pretty hardcore cult following and has won numerous awards for cinematography, writing and direction. There's also a lot of praise for how it accurately portrays the 'hacking' aspects of the show and it goes pretty deep with it. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but I'd recommend giving it a go, especially if you have Amazon Prime as it's free on their video service.
The only inaccurate thing about the computer usage scenes is the fact that nobody ever had to use the backspace key. The rest of it is pretty much on point.
I saw the 2 points where Charlie Cox and his stunt double switched but still in awe at the logistical difficulty of this one take. One of the best sequences to ever grace the small screen.

that one shot is epic! also love how the hallway shines red lights and you hear them say over and over "Code 33" 3 times, because 3+3 is 6, so it's pretty much code 666 with the flashing red lights.

Fisk attempted to setup *Frank & Matt* into getting killed by prison inmates - both plots enacted while maintaining his *air-tight alibi* of being *"under FEDERAL custody"🤯*
Hallways, stairwells, prison corridors... all EPIC.
And yes, Fisk did say he likes to play the "long game." It's so twisted, though.

The fatigue of Charlie Cox must have been sooo real xD
The oner was seriously one of the most difficult shots ever conducted on film. Marvel didn't want to do it because it was way too complex on a TV filming schedule (requiring so many hours of rehearsal with the full crew) and they intentionally filmed it so digital cuts could be used in case they had to stitch takes together.
They didn't have to.
I don't always use my full length access but with an episode like this, you just have to. I needed to see every second of their reaction to that shot. I was not disappointed.

Man, imagine being that cabbie, a guy walks into a prison, a riot starts, and he walks out again beaten and bloody
When yeah the director and those who choreographed that shot is amazing, but that cameraman deserves a medal!! Like he's the only one consistent throughout the entire 11 min! And the shot is smooth and beautiful! Also the switching stuntmen was clever because you can literally see where Charlie had to get some fake blood on him in the middle to make the hits more believable. Like even THAT had to be choreographed perfectly
When I saw this episode I was blown away. Such a fantastic one-shot scene

They got approval from the studio to shut down production for a full day to rehearse the prison fight sequence. I believe it's 11 minutes, unbroken, one camera, and just a few strategically placed cowboy switches. When they would switch out, they had limited time to apply makeup and blood to Charlie's face before switching him back in.
Was looking forward to Blind Wave reacting to this episode and this one shot....was not disappointed!!!
On the one topic, I'd love to see Netflix do another season of Defenders, or a series of one of the shows with all 4 Defenders and Frank teaming up. It could have a bigger budget with a larger number of episodes, and it could have episodes focusing on individual characters, tying up Iron Fist and Luke Cage season 2, before bringing all the characters together.
Depressed Daredevil fans check in here... we'll get through this together 😢

I've read people calling this the best "scene" in the show, but to me that actually was one of my favorite scenes of anything ever. Probably top 3. Movies, shows, anything. I have no words to describe that scene.

You know for people looking for a storyline as they are focused on the story you tend to miss the way it was shot or the acting and I totally missed the stun double when I first watched the series but with your reaction I learned about that and that amazing one shot scene

I think a great film that can show how hard oneshots are to do is to watch the horror movie Rec. Since it's a found footage film shown from the pov of the cameraman, every crew member such as boom operators, producers, and actors had to choreograph their movements too to keep them out of the shop.
I love the LOOONG shot of The Haunting of Hill House as well!!👌🏼
it's just crazy to listen to the crew talking about how bad they want Charlie Cox's Daredevil team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man! We all wanted that so bad and, oh boy, I'm just so happy that that became a reality to some extent. I hope, HOPE, that for the new trilogy we get the chance to see a real team-up of not just Peter and Matt, but also Spider-Man and DD!

Hell no, episode 6 was probably my favourite episode this season with long unbroken stretches of fighting and it clearly establishes Poindexter as a threat, and one of Matt's most deadly enemies of you give him even a little bit of range.

Honestly it wasn't until he got out of the prison that I realized that it had been all one shot, just caught up in the action and suspense I guess. And I didn't even realize they swapped stunt doubles while still filming, that is insane...

even in that doped up state, Matt still held his own against a *gang of inmates,* managing to talk his way *out of a knife to the throat* and into an alliance with that Albanian crime boss while leading his enforcer thru that *prison riot / massacre*

Awesome directing the one-shot prison scene.
Fun fact, the daredevil in civil war comic storyline (the judas silver dollar scene is great) was actually iron fist whilst matt was laying low after his identity was made public
The cool added extra to the one shot is you get part of the seasons story explained by the albanians!!
I watched just to see the reaction to the one-shot scene.. worth it. So glad others enjoyed it as much as I did.

When I watched this ep with my parents and brother, I was the only one who seemed impressed with that one shot, like “it’s still going! this is so cool and well done!” and they were just sitting there like umm yeah I guess.. smh anyways loved y’alls reactions :)
That scene with the cab driver bailing and Matt getting plunged into the river is taken straight out of the Born Again comic which this season is partially inspired by. Highly recommend checking it out, if you're a fan of Daredevil.
