    It is in fact an 11 minute one take involving around 50 stuntmen, they said they filmed it in a way to be able to hide cuts but they actually filmed it in one take. If you pay attention you can see where they switch between Charlie Cox and his stunt double throughout the take. Amazing.

So if they ever do something with those characters, I'm pretty sure they'll use the same actors. Let's just hope it's in the works because the fans acknowledge that these shows were the superior ones and the acting and casting choices were spot on. I don't see anyone else playing Matt, Frank or Jessica if not these actors.

    Season 1 Long Take: Shows the pure determination of Daredevil, him fighting through 7 or so of Fisk's men to save a single child, especially powerful after an entire episode dedicated to showing just how fucked up his entire body is before the fight.
    Season 2 Long Take: Shows just how much Daredevil's fighting has improved, mows through about 20-30 bikers because one random person got caught in the crossfire, and is just really badass.
    Season 3 Long Take: A unreal mix between reality and a nightmare. This one is pure survival, it's not pretty fighting off three inmates by bashing their heads against metal, and running though corridor after corridor of unrelenting chaos. He's can barely stand because he's been drugged, but he pushes through this havoc that Fisk managed to cause in an attempt to kill this one man, even under house arrest; in this season he's more powerful than ever, he seems completely and utterly unstoppable. And this scene is the first moment where that truly sinks in.
    Also fun fact: The music in that scene is titled "Not Another Hallway", which is such a funny, meta name for the third hallway long take. That must be what Matt was thinking: "NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN!"

    I didn't notice until watching it this time, but at 13:32, Karen is just painted in red light against a yellow background. There's no way that wasn't intentional, almost like in that moment, she was close to becoming her own version of Daredevil.

  • @jsmarty1
    @jsmarty1 3 года назад +9

    So apparently, Charlie Cox got so good at portraying Matt Murdock, that when he went to audition for the Han Solo film, he was still so used to portraying him that he was still acting blind during the audition. Charlie Cox is absolutely brilliant, and really elevates the show. To me he’s as synonymous with Daredevil as Tobey Maguire with Spider-Man or RDJ with Iron Man. I really hope Disney picks it back up, it’d feel like such a waste to let a group with such immense talent go to waste. I think if they properly incorporated it into the MCU, say with Spider-Man (because they’ve frequently crossed over and Kingpin is also a big Spidey villain), he could be amazing. Like honestly, he’d be a great mentor for Spider-Man. Anyway, pardon the tangent, Charlie Cox is brilliant.

    I just love the evolution of these one shot hallway scenes over the past 3 seasons. Season 1 had The Masked Man (as what Matt was called by criminals early on his career), Season 2 as Daredevil and Season 3 as Matt Murdoch. Just how it showcases all 3 of his personalities like that. Also with this seasons hallway fight, I love how in the prison when the emergency light flashes red, it's just so amazing. It's like Matt is already in his own hell right there and is taking it all in due to the fact he was drugged, attacked and at the end of the day he's still human despite of his enhanced senses. Also with the whole prison riot and all the violence and commotion, his senses are in overload and it's just so insane. The fact that Charlie Cox did this by himself without a stunt double for a full 11 minutes needs to be heard. He deserves this praise honestly!
