@30:15 I cannot thank you guys enough for this specific moment in the review! Hector highlighting women being held to an entirely different standard = pure solid gold! This is the case with women in every imaginable male-dominated industry!I am a musician and just one small example historically is how female composers’ one failed premiere would usually ruin their career for good while anyone from Beethoven to Chopin had more than their fare share of some early works that at first are just not that great, and yet! They were not immediately shut down and given the time and opportunity to “keep failing” till they found their magic You guys are the best ❤ thank you 🙏🏻 amazing episode and very happy for some nice happy romance finally 👫❤️
Arthur only wanted SheHulk, ended up being a prick. Josh only wanted Jen (cause it’s easier to steal her blood), ended up being a prick. Matt wants both Jen and SheHulk, Matt for the win!!! This has been my favorite episode. They have such amazing chemistry and so cute together. But more importantly, Jen finally starts to accepts both sides of herself and that’s what the shows been building toward. Learning to accept and love all parts of yourself!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚 Your reactions were absolutely perfect!! 😊
I don't expect Daredevil to be this lighthearted in his own show, but this definitely made me excited to see the character again. I also loved how acrobatic he was during his fight scenes lol.
Normally, we get 30 minutes of origin story for these characters in the movies. This show IS the origin story. I don't know why people have trouble grasping that. I also agree that Daredevil wasn't just fun in the episode , but is important to her character because she'd be able to relate to how he lives his life. He's an example of how she could make both versions of herself could work rather than being a either /or situation . And it was hilarious that she shrugged off Matt's "I'm Daredevil" . He's such New Yorker. Everyone in NY knows who he is , so he assumes LA would too. LOL!
Hector's theorizing at the end resonated a little with me! When he said that "this is now the big show." That hit a chord with me. To use the gaming world as an analogy, if the MCU as a whole is one huge open world game. Then She-Hulk would be an excellent "hub-world/section/etc.." It is a good place to find "quests" and introduce characters etc.. Very well said Hector!
This episode had me giddy-kicking like a teenager at the Matt/Jen ship, but also crushed me with that cliffhanger. You guys just *get it*, that's why I always enjoy watching this channel's reaction to shows.
ive been wanting to rewatch Daredevil for a while now i would love a rewatch from you guys. Honestly i never knew much about him until the netflix show but since then ive read more Daredevil stories and hes easily a top 5 character for me and charlie cox really does an amazing job bringing him to life.
That look she gives us right at the end. Meta. M.E.T.A. She's reacting to us, reacting to what has just happened to her. She knows we're all like, "WTF, Jen!". Seriously clever storytelling.
Welcome home, Hector! haha what an episode for you to return on! I think Jen needed to meet someone who is actively living in both worlds and seeing that it can work. Bruce is so engrained in the super hero life that he's forgetting to find a real life outside of it. And I agree, I think Bruce was putting too high expectations on Jen without hearing what she wanted. His heart was in the right place. How they wrote Matt/Daredevil in this episode was fantastic and not taking the spotlight away from Jen/Shulkie. Their chemistry was great and I hope we get more SheDevil in future MCU projects 😉
Bruce's 'when they see you as a monster, that never goes away' line was great foreshadowing for whatever we see next week. Also, we are fairly sure bruce is back on earth, I can see Jen calling wong and having him locate Bruce.
Absolutely SENSATIONAL & SAVAGE episode. LOL'd so hard & bisexually shipped Shulkie & DD even harder & smiled ear to ear, & then the ending gave me very triggering FEELINGS of being bullied during childhood. This episode made me remember & access those initial butterflies of meeting someone who SEES you, flirts to your own pace, all pleasurable goosebumps & the emotion of blossoming of love. Cox & Maslany had INCREDIBLE chemistry.
I was also bullied a lot back in the day. Rocks, slaps when teacher wasn't looking, etc. Of course it was because of the whole totally blind thing, so seeing Matt accepted in either persona by Jen was pretty awesome, and vice versa. I wonder if Matt relates to Jen in that he's constantly having to prove to everyone else that he's capable of a normal life while going about a daily routine as a blind person. If anyone could relate to folks underestimating and belittling her, it's Matt in a way. "You can't do fill in the blank because you're blind! Hyuck hyuck hyuck! You can't do fill in the blank because you're a woman!" They can just be at peace with themselves and with each other for a little while because neither feels pressure to prove anything. No wonder Matt's less tense. I wanna go back and watch him and Electra in Netflix DD to see if he's any happier or more comfortable around her. Been a few years.
You guys have no ideia how glad I am to watch your react every week, i've seen so many men talk sh!t about this show without watching and is great to see someone react to it without hate or to trash it. It's been fun watching the series and then I came here to watch your reaction. greetings from Brasil. 💚💚
I theorize that the dudes from the retreat center are gonna come and back her up in the big final battle. It would really tie that storyline together. Additionally in the sizzle, they showed Blonsky in Abomination form at his retreat center. So he's coming back at least one more time.
Daredevil provides Jen with a way forward where she could combine her normal and super hero life. Bruce was only putting forward a super hero life option. Worth remembering he was also a scientist and was still doing his normal job whilst being in isolation.
It’s so refreshing to hear actual thoughtful critiques towards the show rather than just saying it’s bad. I guess that’s why so many people have gravitated to your guy’s channel, because you guys actually look at multiple perspectives rather than just flat out saying it’s good or bad. (Let’s be honest nothing is JUST good or bad) Ngl it’s been kind of tiring hearing all the complaints about Phase 4, like I saw a video in saying how the MCU is “crumbling” when it most certainly is not lol (talk about dramatic) when in reality I feel like all the new content has been really good! For the most part anyway. And don’t get me wrong, there’s some genuine criticism that should be heard, but at the same time, that criticism has been so lost within the copious amounts of fans just whining about anything and everything, that it’s just become hard to even try and separate them. At this point I don’t even care lol. I don’t care if these movies are works of art or the absolute worst, I just wanna enjoy them😭.
You really hit the nail on the head about the reception of She-Hulk and how people are less charitable for her than male heroes when it comes to the “rejecting the call” part of the hero’s journey. And Peter Parker was the perfect example to use there. The whole point of his origin story is that he was selfish and didn’t take responsibility, but it cost him dearly and completely changed him as a person. So far, She-Hulk hasn’t gotten anyone killed by not being a superhero from the start, yet people hold her to a higher standard. It just goes to prove what she said about how she has to control her emotions all the time so people don’t look down on her for losing her cool even once. If a female superhero is less-than-perfect, she’s not “likeable.” If a male hero is imperfect, it’s just a part of his origin story and we trust that he’ll become more heroic over time.
So you gonna act like the imperfect Jessica Jones doesn't exist and isn't loved everyone,, despite having rejected the call in the first place? Also you and Hector are totally wrong what people don't like in general is when the female hero is written to be perfect and that everyone is wrong which is Captain Marvel, She Hulk are hated and Wanda, Black Widow, Jessica Jones aren't. That's exactly what happened in She Hulk, she is always right and everyone is wrong specially men.
They can easily make up original character in Thunderbolt's Ross place - reveal that apart from daughter he also had a son who is in military and following in his fathers footsteps, that could continue his legacy, after his father passed on. That way Thunderbolts name will still make sense, we can still get Red Hulk as part of the team and dynamic with his sister - still family, has his father's morals, so it wouldnt honestly change much from father - daughter relationship. Its win - win. No recast, all the benefits.
I’m a 31 year old man and I when Matt Murdock showed up in court I screamed like a little girl at the sight of their favorite pop star. I absolutely love that Matt is in a much happier place in his life in this universe. Seeing Daredevil actually cracking jokes while still being the most badass dude in the room was something I never thought I needed. And he made the gold suit look super cool! Though I hope he gets his red and black suit by the time he shows up in Echo. And his chemistry with Jen is so great that I hope she shows up in Daredevil: Born Again. As for Jen, when Bruce told her that the moment they see you as a monster that’s all they’ll see Jen didn’t take that warning seriously enough. Then again I probably would’ve ripped those guys in half like Juggernaut did to Deadpool. Revenge p*** is one of the most disgusting, reprehensible and unforgivable things anyone can do, and I hope these “Intelligencia” incel pricks get exposed and torn to pieces.
Great freaking episode! Loved seeing DD back and officially in the MCU. I’m more glad it wasn’t just a cameo but made his appearance part of the story and made sense just like the two peters in NWH were used. Looking forward to the season finale.
Audiences need to remember that this episode wouldn’t hit as hard without the previous seven being great too. This was definitely the best episode but the others introduced new characters and the fun obscure side of the mcu. Even in this episode, since we know when daredevil is gonna show up again all I’m wondering is when we can see more leapfrog! I can see a fantastic Great Lakes avengers series or film about these d list characters that she hulk advises with mr immortal, leapfrog, man bull, el agula, porcupine etc they all have that potential.
One of my favourite parts of this show is how likeable the side characters are tbh. I love the little details that show what great friends Jen has, i.e. Pug's gift basket, Nikki using her favour from Pug for Jen, Nikki's quick reaction to stop the Intelligencia video 19:54, Mallory telling Jen to keep her cool, etc.
Best episode yet! I love the commentary on how Jen can relate to the life that Matt Murdock lives, and how he can show Jen that it is possible. Also, everyone involved with the show is 100% on point to be able to predict all of the sh** talking and comments they were going to receive. It's as if they're filming day-to-day and react to what the public is saying each week! 😲 This speaks very highly of them, and Marvel as well, as it relates to how much they know ALL of their audience, not just the "fans" or people that like what they're putting out.
YES PLEASE to watching & reacting to Daredevil! I've never seen the show (I thought it might be too dark/violent for me), but I would absolutely watch it with y'all! Your commentary, knowledge, & humor would definitely take the edge off of the show for me. I could finally be able to enjoy it!
I'm loving this show so much. And Hector preeeeeeeach re: the double standard. I loved how they brought in Matt Murdock - like they even called it out at the beginning of the show at the title card - Jen called it "my show." Like needing to remind eveyrone that this is not Daredevil's show. It's about Jen. It's sorta the same thing that got brought up with WandaVision and the potential Dr Strange cameo - and why he ended up not even being in it. This show sorta acknowledges this and makes every effort - including the previous episodes where Jen is like 'yeah viewer you're not getting what you want how you want it, this is a fun lawyer show and it's about me' (paraphrased and summed up, obvs). Looking forward to the last epi
Hector, hermano! SAY👏🏼LESS👏🏼 I'm so happy there's a space where there's recognition of Jen's character development and not people complaining Daredevil didn't show up in episode 2 or 3.

Watching She-Hulk and Daredevil hook up on screen is as special for me as watching Spider-man in a Iron-spider suit, flying with Valkerie on a Pegasus holding an Infinity Gauntlet
Thank you guys for being such love and joy to this genre. You have taught me how to appreciate all aspects of these shows, who they tough, and who they represent. Also, being a big comics nerd, I love how you point out how they do truly connect to the books, both in the past, and present.
I love this episode of She Hulk. It is awesome to see Daredevil in this! Charlie Cox aka Matt Murdoch is awesome! He & Tatiana Maslany are great together 😁🥰❤️💚
Hi, italian fan here and glad to see Hector back! I hope he had fun in Italy! Also this She Hulk episode was simply amazing and hot everything we needed it to have + Charlie Cox ankles! Mhm thos ankles and their shame walk... 👀😂
I chose my path, you chose the way of the hero. And they found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you.
Daredevil getting to bang She Hulk in his first MCU appearance is oddly funny. I also loved Jen in this episode, not to mention that after bragging in episode one how she has full control she lost it. Understandable WHY she lost her temper for a bit but good surprises and character moments and the actress was on point this episode.
Hector makes such a great point about Jen (and women superheroes in general) being excoriated for not coming out the gate as full heroes ready to fight, but the irony is that even if they did, they'd STILL get shit for then being too unrealistic and perfect and "obvious" Mary-Sues. There really is no winning. Also, as a woman (who works in the law field, no less), I can tell you that 1) Mallory is absolutely right, and 2) a woman potentially losing her entire career over her sex life being used against her is a very real and prevalent fear. Men can kinda just wave it off. How many men get caught in cheating scandals and brush it off like it's nothing? And then everyone forgets about it? And yet it's been like 20 years and Angelina Jolie STILL gets the same old crap about being a "homewrecker." You'll notice that the Intelligentsia didn't go after Jen for being She-Hulk necessarily. They went after her for being a woman with very normal, healthy interests, even calling her a "slut" toward the end of that video. It's so gross and so, so chilling. God, this episode really did have it all, didn't it?
Such a great episode! Loved every second of it right up to the end when my heart broke for Jen. Also I'm wondering if the intelligencia guy on the left in the video at the end could be the lawyer she used to work with, Dennis, just based off of the position of his hair parting and that Dennis is an ass.
The thing is I think this show has primed us to be ready when things start getting good for Jenn because when things start looking up, that's a sign that the S will hit the fan. And what an emotional rollercoaster this eps. was. We went from fun Highs to an emotional gutpunch that left you reeling.
30:00 They complain when female characters have too many flaws, but then turn around and complain about "Mary Sue" when they say they don't have enough flaws. Very telling.
Once again, this is the most mature and professional review. I swear it has to do with your willingness to be inclusive, but also that you three have experience in the business and have elevated critical thinking skills. As an artist educator, I hold you guys up to my students as a group to watch and learn. Thank you again. Bravo!
So, hear me out… post-credit scene at the end of the finale where Talos-Nick appears in Jen’s apartment and announces that they’re putting a new roster together for the Avengers… and Jen blows him off 😂
Another great episode. I really liked all the stuff with Jen interacting with Matt, Luke, Leap Frog, Nikki, etc. So well-done and so much fun. I am really enjoying this whole show. Although, for me, I felt the Intelligencia reveal at the end was very mean-spirited (the content of the video especially). It felt to me like it was more hurtful than it needed to be (although I am sure it does reflect the real and horrible treatment that women endure regularly), since the show was such a happy Jen episode up until that point. I'm sure that is probably just my baggage, as I feel like the episode overall was really well-crafted. For me, I think I would have preferred it if the episode ended when they arrived at the gala and the reveal was then saved for the start of the next episode. Yeah, it probably would have lessened this episode, but I would have much preferred ending on the happy note this time.
I think the whole point of the ending was that it *is* supposed to be deflating. Jen herself points out how the episode should have ended already, and so we knew it was building up to the finale. She’s finally figuring out how to balance She-Hulk and superheroics with her personal life, met an actually great guy, and is going to be recognized for her performance in her field. That’s the time you drag a character down to her lowest moment, and considering the kind of people that Intelligencia are, this is, tragically, exactly the kind of move they would make. Embarrass her publicly, expose her personally, and let her anger about this destroy her public image. It’s absolutely horrible, but tragically true to life and the kind of people Intelligencia represent. It’s supposed to feel mean spirited and cruel, because it is. While this show does love the trick of bringing Jen up only to smack her back down, I feel like it’ll be in service to the finale, where I imagine she’ll finally, actually come out on top and get the long-deserved win in her life.
@@Zakemaster thanks much for your reply. I really like the way you phrased all that. And, it definitely does make me feel better about that ending. Still don't love it, but you have helped me contextualize it a little bit better.
Dudes just need to sit with that discomfort. What the most vocal haters don’t like about this show is mostly how accurately they themselves are being portrayed. I love that she hooked up with one of their most precious heroes. I could hear the collective turning of the knife in their guts as that scene revealed itself. They shot all of this so long ago, but absolutely nailed their prediction for how divisive the reception was going to prove, & still decided, “you know what, I’ve got this huge bag of middle fingers for our detractors, let’s use… ALL OF THEM!”. Me personally, I am here for it! ❤️

This is the case with women in every imaginable male-dominated industry!I am a musician and just one small example historically is how female composers’ one failed premiere would usually ruin their career for good while anyone from Beethoven to Chopin had more than their fare share of some early works that at first are just not that great, and yet! They were not immediately shut down and given the time and opportunity to “keep failing” till they found their magic
You guys are the best ❤ thank you 🙏🏻 amazing episode and very happy for some nice happy romance finally 👫❤️
Your reactions were absolutely perfect!! 😊
I don't expect Daredevil to be this lighthearted in his own show, but this definitely made me excited to see the character again.
I also loved how acrobatic he was during his fight scenes lol.
Happy to see Hector back
Majestic beards all around sir
What an Episode !
WHAT IT IS IT
Matt is so charming that he could even conquer a Brussels sprout 😂
So glad the full crew is together for this one!!
LOL!
Hector is back and so is Daredevil!!! Just in time!!!🙌
Hector's theorizing at the end resonated a little with me!
I'll say it, Matt was totally into all of Jen, Lawyer and She Hulk in equal measure.
This episode had me giddy-kicking like a teenager at the Matt/Jen ship, but also crushed me with that cliffhanger. You guys just *get it*, that's why I always enjoy watching this channel's reaction to shows.
I WAS WAITIN FOR THIS REACTION TO HAPPEN!!!!!
ive been wanting to rewatch Daredevil for a while now i would love a rewatch from you guys. Honestly i never knew much about him until the netflix show but since then ive read more Daredevil stories and hes easily a top 5 character for me and charlie cox really does an amazing job bringing him to life.
She had me at " Or we can just skip all that..."
That look she gives us right at the end. Meta. M.E.T.A. She's reacting to us, reacting to what has just happened to her. She knows we're all like, "WTF, Jen!". Seriously clever storytelling.
I had a giant smile on my face the entire episode
Guys, what happen to episode 9? I hope drop soon 😅
Glad to see that y’all are very positive to this show, I love it as well. Thanks for being positive.
Matt is not doing the walk of shame he’s doing the walk of happiness. He was even whistling ❤😊🎉🎉
God, them bringing back the DD Netflix theme made me giddy
18 weeks of daredevil?!?!? I’m here for it 🍿🍿🍿
It’s so refreshing to hear actual thoughtful critiques towards the show rather than just saying it’s bad.
Sameeee just let us enjoy Phase 4 man, so far so good for me.
@@yesimarangel Exactly! 😭
“The MCU is dying” will always be hilarious to me. Everyone who thrives on hatred just are sad human beings.
He smashed a Hulk. Daredevil’s definitely the Man Without Fear 😂
I jumped when Matt said I'm here in this episode it's so good to have Charlie Cox back as Daredevil man
best entrance on every cameo award
YES! this makes me so so happy, I love you all guys and makes me happy Hector can see this episode with you all
Matt Murdock isn't just a lawyer, he's THE lawyer, he is the world's best lawyer
Great freaking episode! Loved seeing DD back and officially in the MCU. I’m more glad it wasn’t just a cameo but made his appearance part of the story and made sense just like the two peters in NWH were used. Looking forward to the season finale.
Love this! Have been waiting all day to see Hector's reaction!
Just wanted to say thank you, guys. It’s nice to see reactors who understand what this show is about, & who genuinely like it for that
thank you for showing respect to charlie cox with 35 mins
This episode was so amazing didn’t see the ending coming at all.
It's like enjoying a cheese cake with the last bite of cherry but it was spiked with Da'bomb chili sauce.
Hector, hermano! SAY👏🏼LESS👏🏼 I'm so happy there's a space where there's recognition of Jen's character development and not people complaining Daredevil didn't show up in episode 2 or 3.
Your reaction videos are the best. I often watch these shows by myself and it's lonely. But then I watch your reactions and it's like watching with friends. Thank you!
Wait for J2O release, you'll feel like watching with a big group of friends.
That's some parasocial shit
Bienvenido de regreso Hector! This was the reaction I was waiting for!😂🔥
Watching She-Hulk and Daredevil hook up on screen is as special for me as watching Spider-man in a Iron-spider suit, flying with Valkerie on a Pegasus holding an Infinity Gauntlet
Daredevil was perfect in this episode he was charming and badass so happy they did my boy justice!!!
Poor Daredevil, She-Hulk gave him the clap...
I chose my path, you chose the way of the hero. And they found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you.
FOR REEEEAAALLL!!! THE COMPARISON, OMG!!!
Waited all day to see this reaction and it was worth it!
honestly, I was also hoping daredevil showed up in this episode so Hector could watch with Adam and Augustin hahahahaa
This episode is the most ridic nerd-emotions rollercoaster I've been on since Infinity War
Love to see y’all review! Keep pushing!
This episode made me laugh out loud more than any other. It's my favorite so far.
Amen Hector!! Welcome back! Love you Adam y Agustin!!!! ✊😎💜💜💜
I'm happy Hector is back for this!
It's heeree. I was waiting for you guys. Love this episode SO much. Obrigada Jen e Matt pela serotonina 💚💚💚
Such a great episode! Loved every second of it right up to the end when my heart broke for Jen.
Also I'm wondering if the intelligencia guy on the left in the video at the end could be the lawyer she used to work with, Dennis, just based off of the position of his hair parting and that Dennis is an ass.
Good speculation!!
The thing is I think this show has primed us to be ready when things start getting good for Jenn because when things start looking up, that's a sign that the S will hit the fan.
And what an emotional rollercoaster this eps. was. We went from fun Highs to an emotional gutpunch that left you reeling.
Love this show so much ! Love this character
30:00 They complain when female characters have too many flaws, but then turn around and complain about "Mary Sue" when they say they don't have enough flaws. Very telling.
Thank you guys so much for getting this series! Fingers crossed for a Leader reveal and a second season.
Great episode. Welcome back Hector!
Can't wait for Wong and Matt to meet so he can travel to LA through a magic portal to go out with Jen.
Once again, this is the most mature and professional review. I swear it has to do with your willingness to be inclusive, but also that you three have experience in the business and have elevated critical thinking skills. As an artist educator, I hold you guys up to my students as a group to watch and learn. Thank you again. Bravo!
What was it Bruce said about "Once they see you as a monster..."?
So, hear me out… post-credit scene at the end of the finale where Talos-Nick appears in Jen’s apartment and announces that they’re putting a new roster together for the Avengers… and Jen blows him off 😂
12:40 I had the exact same reaction it's been so long since I heard that Daredevil theme I hope they use it in the reboot show man
Another great episode.
You guys never disappoint me
